If We Continue To Elect Celebrities As Presidents...
Now, of course we all remember The Celebrity's Apprentice. It was a show in which contestants would compete for prize money and to be the right hand man of Donald Trump. The problems in his presidency have bewildered me, I believe in mistakes but I don't believe that a man should get this many chances. The question... not slamming anyone reading this article but, what were you thinking electing a person with no political experience, nor any diplomatic foreign trade experience. I will swallow my pride to say that he fixed what left of our economy we had (Thanks Obama). Today, we are a nation that does not, and I repeat DOES NOT, show equality, rights towards LGBTQ+ communities, or sometimes even college for people with different ethnic backgrounds. Not once have I seen Trump or his administration face one of these issues head on. My question is.... what will our country do? What if Kanye runs in 2020? Are we going to vote him in because he is the most popular, or can we swallow our egos and elect a qualified politician?
Have we came together as a nation? Are we succeeding with foreign affairs? Have we kept the same FBI director these past 2 years? If you answered NO to any of these questions, you are either doubting why you voted for Trump or you didn't vote for him plain and simple. A celebrity is not fit to run this country as it is to far more complex for any dumb-witted individual to run. Trump has not complete his "100 Day Plan", he made a bold statement showing that he wants to go down history like Franklin D. Roosevelt. He wanted to create "The Third New Deal", but his ego got him in a sticky situation filled with useless executive orders that our country did not need. Various examples of why a celebrity running our country can lead to disaster. There is hope for our president, if he is somehow able to bounce back from his horrid first year as president. I do not expect much from our flamboyant, limelight businessman but he could surprise me.
In closing, I see no fit for a president who is popular among the population as an actor, athlete, or reality TV star. I look for qualities, such as being an optimistic, courageous individual running for our president. So, when all of these idiotic kids are voting for Kanye in 2020. I will be right there with them, only I will be voting for someone who is going to lead our country in the right direction.
Kanye Or A Qualified Politician?
