Submarines

Submarines are the most important element of an established naval force, and Bangladesh is doing the same to establish it's dominance in Indian Ocean; especially in Bay Of Bengal. According to Ministry of Defense, Bangladesh already inked a deal with China for two submarines expected to be delivered by 2015, and they are also in talks for Three more submarines from either Turkey, Germany or South Korea. Basically, By 2020, Induction of Five Submarines into Bangladesh Navy is confirmed.

Frigates

Bangladesh Navy currently operates 6 Frigates. According to US, They'll be handing over USCG Rush; 3250 Tones Frigate to Bangladesh Navy (BN) by end of 2014. Other than that, 2X F-22B Frigates are placed in order from China and 3 More Guided Missile Frigates are on negotiation. On top of that, Bangladesh Navy has officially announced it's plan to upgrade all it's existing fleet with long range missile and torpedoes.

Corvettes

Bangladesh Navy currently operates 4 Corvettes and 2 Type 056 Corvettes are on arrival by end of this year. Bangladesh Navy's Modernization plans include 8 More Corvettes which will join the navy by 2025. Bangladesh is also in talks with Turkey over 4 Milgem Corvettes. The Total Number will stand at 18 by 2030
