The Fukushima Fear Factor...Don't Believe The Lies.

Greg has many opinions when it comes to politics and education. He has no qualms with voicing his opinion..

It has brought a mixture of emotions to my senses. I have felt:

  • Humor
  • Sadness
  • Concern
  • Anger
  • Frustration
  • More

What has brought me these strong emotions and feelings?

Reading the title, you will probably assume that I speak of the Fukushima disaster that occurred in March of 2011.

Yes, I felt emotions knowing that so many people were hit with such a terrible disaster, but the emotions I felt from that emergency do not match the emotions I am feeling now.

I am feeling emotions because of the amount of people that think they are being killed off because of this disaster.

Many people I know has been so "bitten" by the lies that have been perpetrated via the internet that people are believing these lies that have been spread by people that have nothing better to do than build internet conspiracies.

It becomes a huge problem when hard earned food like cans of tuna are thrown in the trash because of lies that have been written on the internet.

I know they will read this hub and I must show them, and all the rest of you some strong information showing that the radiation that seeped from the Fukushima plant is not going to affect us. The fact is: you probably will receive more radiation in your life in the United States and here in Puerto Rico by using a cellphone and cooking in your microwave oven.

The saltwater of the Pacific Ocean will dissipate any radiation before it gets anywhere near the West coast of the United States.

I have always been a huge fan of They research any conspiracies that are put out via the world wide web and defeat them. Below is the Snopes link to this stupid conspiracy that has people fearing life:

If Radiation In The Ocean...

To defeat some of these misguided cyber liars, I want to point out 8 nuclear tests that were performed in Ocean waters.

Why are we all still alive?

What about all the fallout from these tests?

Here is a table listing those tests and where they happened and who performed them.

Truth and Lies

This text box is going to point out many websites on both sides of the fence.

First truths:

  1. Deep Sea

These have lies:

  1. Global
  3. Washingtons
  4. Live

Now the Snopes link is also on the first page of Google along with a video I am about to show you.

This shows that the truths and lies are running even in search results.

Gullible and Naive

Awaken people.

Stop believing the lies.

You are only destroying yourselves with fear and folly.

I must confess that I have written items too that have maybe misled, but I do not believe the stupid conspiracies. If I have written misleading items, I apologize.

The problem we have here is: the people writing this garbage actually believe it themselves.

Well, I did what you asked and searched the internet for what you wanted me to. This is what I came up are believing garbage that is moving you into a fear stage.

Now to quote the wise words of King Solomon from Proverbs 14:15:

"An unthinking person believes everything, but the prudent one thinks before acting."

As Spock would say, "Live Long and Prosper."
