The George Zimmerman Defense Evolves with Judge Robert Zimmerman
Former Judge and Father Speaks Out
Wow. There could be no opposite versions as to what happen between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. The killing has reignited the whole race thing and the blacks have already convicted a Hispanic\white man for it in the press and of course, all the fringe people and groups join in the chorus. Sounds like Rodney King, again.
Robert Zimmerman, George's father, ironically, is a former judge from Virginia. The title has a lot of weight. Obviously, his son has told him the whole story. Would a son tell his father an outright lie after such a horrifying event that has ruined his own life? It is hard to yes to this question, especially if your dad as a judge that George aspired to be,
Both men have now received death threats. Naturally, Robert retells the same story George has with some additional facts. Robert indicated that George was on his way to his car when he noticed Trayvon walking between the condos in an area that has many recent crime issues. George felt it was odd that he was not walking along the street on the sidewalk during the rainy night. As a watchman, he felt he should observe him further and followed him from a distance. During this time, George called the police on a non-emergency number-it was not 911. The police asked for his location, because George was in the condo complex, not on the main street, he indicated he did not know. George ignored police advice and kept following from a distance in order to get the address they were at to call the police. Once George reached the street where he knew where he was at, he started to veer off towards his car. This is when Trayvon turned, who knew he was being followed, and said, "Do you have a fucking problem?". George responded that he had no problem and pulled out his cell phone. Suddenly, Trayvon attacked George, hitting him, a scuffle happens, they hit the ground on pavement with Trayvon on top. During the scuffle, George's gun appears for the first time and Trayvon sees it and states some threat that George will die. The gun goes off, with Trayvon being killed.
Robert's father does not believe that the scream for help is Trayvon. In fact, he stated, that everyone in the Zimmerman family knows it is George. The former judge does not believe Trayvon's girlfriend was talking to Trayvon because it was weeks after the event that she amazingly, suddenly, recalled talking to him at that time.
George actually was a mentor to two black kids in the past. The story is plausible. We have seen this exact situation depicted in movies many times. Yet, the only plausible reason for Trayvon to attack George was that he knew George might call the police, and in seconds, attacked to prevent it. Still, Trayvon had done nothing wrong except cut through a condo complex that had crime problems and spotted by a volunteer watchman. The video of George at the police station seems to contradict what he claims as a broken nose and head injuries. You see no injuries. The video is 30 min. after the incident. Unless police cleaned him up at the scene, which they do routinely, it is odd. Maybe George overstated the "broken nose", in fact, was not broken, it just bled some. As to the head injury from concrete, the video shows none. Again, was it cleaned up at the scene and stopped bleeding? I mean, it is possible. A head injury can be minor, not profusely bleeding.
This case has brought out the worse in America. Now, the Martin family is trademarking their dead son's image-this is sickening. Trying to cash in.
