The Highest Voice Of Reason I Can Muster~

Turbulence ~~~ and Peace - - -
This last week has been like a roller coaster to me. I have been reading about some of the things that are being dangled in front of Congress' eyes to bribe them to do the right thing. You know, the thing they should be doing because we all elected them, not just the ones who give them more money than we do.
Why do the people we elect refuse to serve us? There are more people in this country who want taxes raised on the super wealthy than not and let's face it the U.S. could use the revenue. But what is being considered instead is cutting back on social security. Now, you tell me, who can best afford to give - the super wealthy or those on social security? Remember, we all paid into social security when Congress and Senate appointees excluded themselves from having to pay it.
It gets too convenient to do the wrong thing, when you live in a society who loves power. And money has become equal to power. We live in the United States of America. We have, in my opinion, the strongest constitution of any people in the world to protect us, even from our elected officials. Yet our money, our rights, our say are constantly being traded for more money. When will the amount of money our elected officials have received be enough to value integrity in their governing tasks? When will they vote for the electorate above the super wealthy minority that gets all their favors, now? When will we wake up and stop voting for those who are owned by the big banks on Wall Street?
To Our Elected Officials, I insist that you start doing the thing that the majority of people who elected you are expecting you to do.
This is the highest voice of reason I can muster in relationship to this issue . . . do the right thing.
Respectfully,
