The Super Pac Shuffle and Two Step

As Fleetwood Mac says “ You can go your own way, You could call it another lonely day.”. I sit here listening to music and contemplating the up coming election. How can I trust either candidate when both the Democrats and Republican are accepting and using Pac Money in the hundreds of millions of dollars? The genie is out of the box now and will not go back in. Are we going to be a nation that is run by these groups to compensate for their large contributions? I am not so naive that I think this is not done every day and has been for many years, but it seems to be shoved in our face now. Even the wealthy whom I am not a part of must wonder if the day will come when they must bow down to the super rich. I know this is just rhetoric from a poor middle class citizen who's only Weapon of Mass Destruction is my right to cast a ballot but really people why does it cost hundreds of millions of dollars to get a job that pays $400.000 a year with a $150.000 expense account. The President can't write a bill and his only weapon is a single line veto. Sure with his presence and backing he can influence and perhaps help guide a bill but that is what we have a Congress and Senate for. That is the scary part they take Pac money also. The employment of lobbyist are used as a form of free enterprise and have more influence than we think. In many cases they are the ones that write a bill and it is then given to a Senator or Congressman to read and present. They are funded by the Super Pac groups also. As more and more money fall into the hands of the Super Pac groups in reality aren't the Super Pac's running the country? Please get out and vote. There may come a day when even that is banned or restricted. As much as you may think my vote won't count, it does. Please use your weapon on election day. Just look over to Iraq and countries like it. People give up their lives just to vote. It wasn't that many years ago Americans did the same just so they could vote. Be an active part in running the country. Bug the shit out of your local representative. Write your local government and get things done . We are citizens of the United States. A nation FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. Please don't give up and become complacent. It really is worth fighting for. Many people from my family came to the United States for the right to vote and become free. I won't let their blood sweat and tears be for nothing.

I couldn't agree with you more. Something must be done, like a limit as to how much can be given to a political party. There used to be a limit of 2000.00 dollars, that was changed when Bush took office, hopefully if Obama is reelected that will change.. Voted up..Cheers.

We desperately need campaign finance reform in this country, and we should also get rid of lobbyists. Voted up!
