The Waste of A Life

Updated on December 11, 2012

New York Subway

Its hard to believe that some New Yorkers stood by and watched a 58 year old Kin Suk Han, lose his life without trying to help. Kin was trying down an calm down a man who was harrassing others when was pushed into the path of an train at a New York subway.. An I witness reported that it was a 90 second before the train hit him. This 58 year old man struggled to pull himself up on the platform before he was killed. When I read this story I was in shock; because I do feel that this man could have been saved by bystander who didn't wanted to get involved. In Massachusetts a few months ago a mother and her 4 year old child fell on the tracks in a subway station. Two bystanders a man and a woman risked lives to save the woman and her child, without thinking about themselves. My heart goes out to the family who is suffering a great loss because no one cared enough to help this man as he struggled to save his life. People need to get involve when it comes to humans livfe, what if this was your father or brother.

It makes me a little sick to know that he did not necessarily have to die. It would be on thing if people had tried to help him and couldn't but no one even bothered. 90 seconds is a long time when it comes to a situation like this. Someone had time to snap a picture but not enough time to reach out a hand and help him up? So sad....

The saying goes everything happens for a reason....unfortunately I do not know the reason why this man had to die knowing that no one wanted to help him but everyone that witnessed this and did nothing has to live with the fact of what they did. Through a chain of has its way of bringing things full circle.

It's hard to believe that people in New York. just stood there and watch kin , struggling to save his own life without reaching down pulling him to safety.
