China uses Geese instead of police dogs in many parts of China including parts of Xinjiang province. The idea is they have excellent hearing, can see well and they can be trained to attack and man, they will fight. Dogs are still employed by the law but mainly for sniffing out drugs and such. Geese can be trained easily and a gaggle of geese can swiftly take down home intruders or criminals trying to get away from authorities.

Some people, possibly homeless, eat felines as food only in the toughest of times when they have no other choice. From my understanding, cat meat is not served in the cities where visitors travel to but rather in small towns.
