This Is Not Good

Updated on February 15, 2012

Wrong Way Obama

Good Grief! 4th Straight Year?

Every time I hear Obama's teleprompter make any economic speech I can envision our National Debt Clock whirring along. He doesn't know any other way but to continue to spend money we don't have and compound it by raising taxes on the creators of jobs in this nation. The time for decreased spending, reform of entitlement programs and a general overall austerity program to be implemented throughout our federal money-munching monster is now. It is past time.

This is the man who said he was going to cut the federal deficit in half during his first term. For those of you who voted for him, "Has he done that?" That's also all his latest smoke and mirrors budget proposal is also designed not to do. I don't want excuses such as "we didn't know how bad the recession was." That's an excuse because I heard Obama say exactly what Obama said. Listen closely again to what he said in early February of 2009 and then look at his actions and the growth of the national debt during his tenure. The proof should always be in the pudding and in his case it always is. He has failed.

Cut Spending? When?

If "we cannot and will not sustain deficits like these without end..." why is he doing that? Then he goes on "we cannot simply spend as we please and defer the consequences to the next budget, the next administration or the next generation." Is that what he has been doing since he made that speech?

Ever year since then he has run up the national debt tab in excess of $1 trillion dollars a year and this latest proposal will add another $1.3 trillion to our tab. That tab is being passed onto the next generation. You know those people who you claim are so near and dear to you and that you love oodles and oodles. You can't pay it, I can't pay it and all those millionaire and billionaires he wants to raise taxes on can't pay it either, so take that rant somewhere else. If he wants to turn his budget proposal into a campaign speech then I'll use it as an "anti-campaign" speech. This whole thing is nothing more than his attempt to get reelected. I judge a person by his deeds, not his words. He said exactly what he said in that video, or at least what his teleprompter told him to say.

Contrary to the prevailing wisdom that is dancing around in liberal's heads we cannot afford another four years of Obama. We have been paying the price of electing an inexperienced, unqualified person to lead our nation now. The interest we are now paying on our national debt surpasses the "1 in every 10" of our tax dollars to pay the interest alone he cited which is now greater than when he opened his mouth. My question again, "Has he made things better or worse using his voodoo form of fixing problems?"

Next up is his use of federal departments in his form of reasoning. Use some logic here. Three times more than this and seven times more than that. Besides the fact that he has increased the size of the money muncher by 17%, what has he done about those useless departments in our government? Since he has increased the national debt by $5 trillion, and counting, in just over three years have those numbers increased or decreased? Has he done what he said he was going to do? If we were in a crisis back then has he elevated the crisis level even more? Has he saddled our children and grandchildren with our debt even more than before? You know those folks you just love oodles and oodles.

Sure it wouldn't be easy Obama. But you failed to deliver then and you're failing to deliver now. I call it the "empty suit syndrome." The man doesn't have the experience to run a lemonade stand much less the largest economy in the world. Other than to spend our tax dollars he doesn't know anything about economics, economies or how to run anything except his mouth. That wasn't kind to say was it? No it was not nor was it intended to be. I'm just speaking the truth as I did when he sucked people into electing him.

A Nation Running On An Empty Suit

The difficult decisions can wait until you leave office, right Obama? The challenges we face will be exacerbated by your lack of leadership in dealing with the underlying problem. Is that what I heard up there in that video Obama? The underlying problem is that we are spending ourselves into a hole in this nation and you just want to keep picking up the shovel. So as you point out so eloquently it will require that difficult decisions be made. You have proven that you are not up to the task of making those difficult calls. You're more interested in your own political skin than you are in the overall welfare of this nation and those children and grandchildren you don't want to continue to saddle with more and more excessive spending. You know those children and grandchildren you love and adore oodles and oodles?

I'm sure you heard him say at the end of his empty words that his administration was taking responsibility now (February of 2009) to get our spending under control. Is that what he has done? No, he played the blame game, will continue to play the blame game and wants to blame everyone but himself.

No He Does Not. He's Not Done. He's Toast!

I started this out originally with the thought of slicing and dicing his budget proposal to pieces but then started writing and when I reviewed that video one more time I saw very clearly where my words were going to take me.

He said all of that in February of 2009. He has failed to do any of that. In fact, he has done just the opposite of that. So that's okay for the person charged with running the greatest nation on earth to run it into the ground? I think not. I don't care if you are a Democrat or a Republican or a liberal or a conservative. It's not okay to keep running on a flat tire and Obama is just that.

He has not even attempted to get our spending under control. He lied.

As Always,

The Frog Prince

Coming To Our Nation Soon...

Your present a great argument for consideration. Your passion for justice is admirable and it will help guide us through the decisions ahead. It does seem that the present government has no idea how to stop the spending and decrease the budget. I would like to see who the advisors are and their contribution to the teleprompter speech. Very informative hub!

Fred - See you think logically like I do. He had access to all the "great" Ivy League brains in the world and still does and none of them have a clue about economics.

You know, Frog, it just hit me:

"...we didn't know how bad the recession was."

      Okay, now, Unavoidable Interpretation:

"This administration is so incompetent that we had no idea what was going on. Matter of fact, we still don't."

      Just saying.

Voted UP and Across, including Funny. Gallows humor, but hey.

Hey FrogPrince-Isn't it funny how a hub can start out with an idea in your head and then it kind of writes itself into something different. I must say that your passion on this topic comes across. I couldn't have said it better myself. I hit every button on this one. Loved the pics to go with it too.

Annette - Yes, I am passionate about saving this country from economic disaster and the loss of the freedoms that we enjoy here. It's been going all downhill for quite a while now so we need to skid to a screeching halt and start the uphill pull it will take to straighten out decades of insanity that was allowed to fester.

Stu - Obama has crony capitalism down to a fine art.

Carol - I could really care less about scores per se. What is being done and how it is being done needs to be addressed. As far as summaries go, my whole article is a summary.

Froggy - don't sweat the score. It's a mystery. I very well could be the liberals hammering the conservative Hubs without even bothering to read them. Just hitting the "Voted down" button - but I will tell you this. A number of my Hubs appear in the top of Google searches - yet my numbers have fluctuated dramatically at times too. Are you writing your summaries? When I just wrote a few of those (correcting that "A" you get next to your Hubs) it jetted right back up.

Anyway - it totally boggles my mind how in the WORLD anyone with HALF a brain could vote for this IDIOT. Fool me once, you're bad. Fool me twice MY BAD.

I can only pray that the vast majority will finally see the light and vote this worthless, lowlife slob and his equally lowlife wife out of office in 2012. And NO it has NOTHING to do with racism - although that's what the Kool-Aid drinkers would like to think it is - Allen West would make a GREAT President and for a time, I thought Cain would as well. I just can't stand liberals no less the radical ones no matter what ethnicity they are.

Great Hub - don't become discouraged. It could be that when you write every single day that hurts your score as well. Maybe go down to two or three times a weeks and see if that makes a difference. No one can figure out how to keep their score high - but there are Hubs written about it by Hubbers who have very high scores. I've tried their suggestions and they don't work for me!

      Keep fighting the good fight!

While I admit Obama inherited a mess, he's done nothing more than made it worse. Every policy move has added to the debt, destroyed liberty, eroded states' rights, and trashed the Constitution. He seems to "say" alot of the right things, but all he "does" is harm. Sadly, he cares nothing about the future of the nation, and has nothing but scathing contempt for our Constitution because it interferes with his desired elevation to kingship. Nobody can get ahead unless they play the socialist "corporatism" game (crony capitalism - buy favors with campaign donations and political support). Obama has taken plutocracy to a level never before seen in this nation. If he gets another four years, I fear we are doomed to complete loss of freedom, and probably a financial collapse too.

Simey - You have to make an omelet one egg at a time. This particular article is about Obama and his pledging one thing and then doing exactly the other. I can blame Obama for that and I do. He is supposed to be a leader and fooled a whole lot of people into believing he was. We are now having to live with the result of that error.

It sure doesn't need to continue. Yes, the whole system up the in Foggy Bottom is corrupt. All they think about is, "Well, if I do this, that or the other I won't get reelected." It's time to do some thorough house cleaning from Obama on down.

I Can See November From My House.

As an objective observer I feel we can't blame Obama, or Bush, or Clinton or Reagan etc - it's the whole flawed system that has a bunch of powerful egos running our country - they don't know what it's like to be a normal person, they just use nepetism, and self engrandment - they don't care that the country may go bankrupt.

I don't think the Democrats or Republicans would know a good economic policy if it hit them in the face! We need a true business man leading the country - Bill Gates, Bloomberg and my first choice who sadly died Steve Jobs would do a far better job at getting this country back on its feet than any self serving politician, be it Obama, Romney etc.

I do not trust any of the current so-called leaders on both sides of the debate to run our country well!
