Thrown Under The Bus?

Updated on August 16, 2011

Actually It's Past Time...

Lets Just Make Sure We Save Room For Obama Himself

Obama is on the campaign trail once again. Did you expect more or maybe less? The man who campaigned in 2008 promising a "new way of doing business in Washington DC" and "bringing bipartisanship to the nation's Capitol" is doing just the opposite of what he said once again. I've learned to expect that from this former community organizer turned pretender politician. His latest ploy seems to be "they're placing party before country." Now I'm not sure how many people are buying that line but if it weren't so pathetic it would be hilarious.

An example may be in order. These words spilled from his lips to one gathering, “Some in Congress would rather see their opponents lose than America win … we can’t have patience with that kind of behavior anymore." Has he had a change of heart? I've lost patience with Obama and the majority of Americans seem to express the same sentiment. Isn't this the guy who told Republicans in 2009 that "elections have consequences?" Has he forgotten the message the American electorate sent to DC in 2010 or is he just ignoring it? Now he doesn't want to face the consequences of his lack of leadership and continue to point fingers at every one else but himself. Well, I'll be...

The Democrats are calling this tour his "counteroffensive" but come on. I know a defense when I see one being an old infantry type. Instead of having his buttocks in the Capitol taking care of the nation's business, he's out on the campaign trail casting aspersions on others patriotism? He's about as thin skinned and defensive as I've ever seen him. That's saying something. He wants to display himself as a long suffering, bipartisan President who has continually reached across the aisle only to be slapped back. The lack of bipartisanship during his first two years in office seems to have faded from his memory. Remember Obamacare?

Saturday, during his weekly radio address, he laid out his agenda for this tax payer funded bus tour. He of "the first thing when I wake up and the last thing I think about before I go to sleep is jobs" fame stuck to his lie once again. According to him, the priority now has to be putting people back to work. He's been laying that line on us now for over two solid years and doing everything but that. He's going to unveil his secret plan in September now, after his campaign tour, 10 days on Martha's Vineyard and numerous rounds of golf. How comforting that should be to people struggling to make ends meet.

He talked once more about putting construction workers back to work and is talking about it again out there in the heartland. If it were only that simple. The fix is for Obama to dance a little jig, twinkle his nose, wiggle his ears, borrow more money we don't have to spend and dream up a list of make-work projects and everything will be just fine and dandy. You know the "shovel ready" concept reincarnated. FDR is probably looking down saying, "It didn't work for me you idiot, what makes you think it will work for you?" He has a new stimulus card up his sleeve which probably won't fly too far since his last $800 billion "plan" was flushed down the special interest's toilet. The government doesn't create productive jobs, the private sector does in a capitalist economy. It's hard to get that through a socialist's head though.

Now granted the economy wasn't in the best of shape when he entered office. But according to him, "Give me the economy and I'll fix it." Is that what we are seeing? Anyone living out here in the real world knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that his lack of leadership and total misdirection of economic policy has made it markedly worse. The national debt had hit the ceiling. Then they raised it? He likes to say he "inherited" what we are seeing which is no more than his being the Blameshifter-in-Chief once again. His rhetoric is stale with the American people and the light hasn't come on yet. We don't need more fancy campaign speeches delivered by an all knowing teleprompter. We need a plan, have needed a plan and will continue to need a plan until 2012 when he departs unceremoniously from "The People's House." The person who has to follow this disastrous snake oil salesman will have their hands full. They will have an "inheritance" nobody in their right mind would want to be bequeathed.

I did find it comforting when he indignantly exhorted one crowd to pick up the telephone, use the fax machine, email, tweet, twit, squeak and squawk to their elected representatives on Capitol Hill. Little does he know that I, and many others, have been doing just that and actually seeing the results of our efforts. It's sad that he doesn't really appreciate the "change" we have caused. Obama would be proud of this American patriot! Just this very morning I fired off 6 emails and a dozen faxes to my elected officials regarding his nonsense.

You see my fellow Americans, if you don't agree with Obama's agenda then you are either a racist, a terrorist, an extremist or the numerous other epitaphs his sheeple like to serve up. That's defined as class warfare no matter which way you flip it over in the frying pan. That we surely don't need but a community organizer will always be a community organizer. It's now very apparent that they aren't cut from Presidential cloth or timber.

We just need to make sure there is room under the bus for the most deserving of individuals - OBAMA. So let me open the window one more time and let er rip...

Can You Hear Me Now Obama?
