Rand Paul Abandons Liberty

Like many of you, I've followed Ron Paul the duration of this election as he fought to promote liberty and educate the masses about economics and free thinking. He certainly had me fooled as evidenced by one of my other articles - see it here. Unfortunately, that now appears to be all it was - education - and that is being generous. Rand Paul moving to support Romney can be seen as a means to save face for a Republican party, that we really should be no part of, only confirms that the notion of any real change occurring soon was but an illusion.

Some may argue that Ron Paul has awakened many and that Rand Paul is simply positioning himself for a 2016 presidential run. While this may be true, we simply cannot afford to wait another 4 years for Rand to return to his principles, besides, who would trust him then. Senator Rand revealed how out of touch he was when he spoke to Hannity. A piercing statement of betrayal came when he spoke of Paul supporters who "think they rule the internet." Yes we own the internet. The internet belongs to the entire world, even those without a computer. It is the last stronghold of freedom threatened to be diminished daily by governments that understand this. It is that very internet that gave Rand and Ron Paul their platform to the masses.

Some people just have too much to lose in this battle, but they do not realize that without freedom they have already lost it all, regardless of which side of the oppression they find themselves. Do you think the protagonist in Braveheart would have made the deal with R. Money Romney? No, he validated freedom until the very last breath. Yes, more people have awakened, and now it is time for the true patriots to rise up - Patriots Of Freedom. - No Compromise. Adam Kokesh of Adam vs. The Man said it best - "If you still need a leader then you might not be ready to be a part of the Freedom movement."

I am not abandoning peace, liberty, and economic freedom - those are the only things worth living for. I will hold out through the convention to see what I make of things concerning Ron Paul at that time. The fact is that the system cannot be changed peacefully.

If we had IRV, and if Ron ran for prezzie as an independent in November, I would vote for him as my first choice. However I've never viewed him as a hero. I agree with him about some things, and respectfully disagree about other things. Example: Like most big-name Republicans, he does not support full reproductive freedom for women. Voted up.

Ron Paul is a QUITTER!!!! That SOB NEVER should have been involved with the Republicans in the first place. He was merely a distraction with no intent on making it to an actual election. If he really were on our side, at 76 he'd say fuck it and go for it on whatever ticket he could get in on - it's not like he's ever going to get a second chance. Instead they used him to out the people who will be the biggest threat to the establishment, then pull him from the race. We've been had!!!! GO TO HELL PAUL!!!!

Ron Paul isn't Rand Paul. The same reason why my parents are Democrats and I'm an Anarchist is the same reason why Rand and Ron don't see eye to eye. In fact, I don't think Rand EVER said that he was a libertarian.

Abandoning RON Paul, and his obviously correct ideology, because of what RAND Paul said is a surefire way to prove that you don't truly believe in the message of liberty, peace, and economic freedom.

Good luck in life. I'm sorry to see your beliefs so easily dismissed after just one bad event.

When the going gets tough, you apparently burn your former self.
