Toxins: Lead- How Does It Damage Your Health?

Updated on September 19, 2018

Toxins From Industry

Lead Is One Of The Most Common Environmental Toxins

Why Are We Toxic?

We are toxic even before we are born. When scientists looked at the umbilical cords of new born babies, they discovered 200 different industrial chemicals, pollutants and pesticides in the blood. Of these, over 70 were carcinogens that are toxic to the brain and nervous system and abnormal development therefore ensues.

The average person, according to tests that were done has 300-500 industrial chemicals in their blood stream. These chemicals interfere with our bodies’ ability to heal, regenerate, and in some cases, the toxins mimic the function of the hormones, for example, meaning that systems do not work well in the body as messages are not getting through.

While the pharmaceutical companies’ profits are soaring, our health is becoming deeply affected by the toxic overload our bodies are being subjected to on all fronts. Many of the diseases and illnesses that arise from toxic overload are not recognised by mainstream doctors as being caused by toxins and pesticides. This is why it is extremely important at this time to educate yourself about your health, and take responsibility for your well-being.

Toxins and pesticides interfere with the bodies’ abilities to heal itself, and eventually cause the healing systems to malfunction. With the body unable to regenerate or heal, this leads in turn to illness, premature ageing, and mental health problems. Since these issues in themselves are so common, people rarely look to toxins as the cause. Many of our illnesses and diseases seem to randomly occur. The question is- to what extent are toxins and pesticides responsible?

What Does Lead Do To The Body?

Lead is one of the most common environmental toxins, and it is extremely toxic to human beings.

It is found in food contaminants, glass, lead building materials, including plumbing, paint additives, lead crystal, auto- mobile exhaust, pottery with lead or ceramic glazes, and old painted toys. It is found in houses that were built before 1970, costume and antique jewellery, antique toys, metal alloys such as brass and pewter, and keys. It is often found in pest-control products. Lead residue is often found where water reserves are contaminated with industrial waste.

Lead is sequestered by the body into the bones, and it displaces calcium, which leads to an increased risk of osteoporosis. Lead, Mercury, Aluminium, and Arsenic go to the brain, and prefer the fat that surrounds the myelin sheaths around the nerves, and therefore can cause neurological damage and nervous system tissue damage. Diseases that this affects are Alzheimer’s, ADD, autism, and peripheral neuropathy.

Other Health Issues Associated With Lead Poisoning

Lead causes high blood pressure, headaches, and nervous system disorders. Other symptoms are abdominal pains, fatigue, and death. It is also linked to depression.

Lead poisoning has also been linked to anorexia, anti social behaviour, convulsions, Loss of IQ in children or thinking abilities in adults, mental confusion, nausea, paralysis, severe abdominal pain, anaemia, visual disturbances, and vomiting.

With so many illnesses that are affecting us and our children that were not so prevalent 50 or 100 years ago, we need to ask what has changed in this time? We have become inundated from all sides with man- made toxins about which we know very little. We are discovering that on their own, they can cause lasting damage to our health, but what is deeply concerning many scientists is that when they combine with other toxins, the resulting new chemical is much more dangerous.

We know so little about the effect that toxins and chemicals have on our systems, but it is clear that we have developed over thousands of years, and chemicals have been around for less than 100 years, and we have not had enough time to adapt to their effects.

We can withstand some of the chemicals and heavy metals that occur naturally because we had had time to adapt to them in our environment. One extremely clever way that the body has adapted to the presence of these toxins is by sequestering them away when they are introduced to the body.

What it does, is it takes the damaging chemical or heavy metal, and it lays it down in an inactive fat cell so that it cannot damage the body. For the ladies reading this, it is suggested that this is what cellulite is.

However, it is a really intelligent trick of the body as the chemical thus becomes inert, and out of harm’s way. The problem comes when there is so much sequestered away that the body cannot process the invading assault, and the toxins and chemicals find their way into systems where they can do huge amounts of damage.

The chemicals and toxins mimic the function of the system that they are invading, and this in turn means that the body does not perform that function. If the system targeted was the regeneration of cells, for example, this would mean that the body’s ability to regenerate would fail, and illness and aging would occur more rapidly.

What Can You Do To Rid Your Body Of The Toxic Burden?

Stewart A. Lonky M.D., said “Because chemical and toxin exposures are impossible to avoid, and because the accumulation of these toxins definitely have health consequences, I believe that the use of a chelating and detoxifying agent such as activated liquid zeolite should be a part of every person’s daily regimen. There is no better gift you can give yourself and your loved ones.”

How Does Activated Liquid Zeolite Help You?

Pure Body zeolite removes heavy metals and toxins from your body safely and effectively.

It can also balance PH levels, bind to viral sub-particles, improve metabolic function and nutrient absorption, alleviate digestive complaints, boost the body’s resistance to diseases, improve blood sugar regulation, and enhance immune functionality.

Hi Larry, Sorry for the delay in my response. I think that it is highly possible that you have lead poisoning, and you can easily get this tested using hair for example. Look on the internet for companies that test and I think it would be worth paying the fee. Lead does like to go into the bones, so it could well be the cause of your issues. I wish you well and please let me know how you get on! xxx

We all know about lead or so I thought, your article shocked me rigid and made me question the effectiveness of years of my alternatively treating my chronic illness. To realise that there is an effective way of detoxing and boosting the immune system gives me hope, especially as none of us fancies the symptom of death prematurely. Love that you call it a symptom, much healthier way of looking at it and made me chuckle.
