Trump And The Republicans: The End Game

Updated on October 12, 2016
The backside of democracy
The backside of democracy | Source

Judgement day is coming...

For all of you Conservatives, Tea baggers, Republicans, and right wing Christians, the time has come for you to look in the mirror and ask yourselves some very serious questions; Is this really what we have become? After years, decades even, of claiming the moral high ground, have we really lowered the bar so low that we can possibly defend where we are now? Am I really ready to vote for a thrice married social degenerate with no viable religious beliefs and a very shaky business background to become President? And, most important of all; Have I been conned?

The answer to the last question is, yes, you HAVE been conned, and the best reaction you can have to that realization is to just walk away, and fight another day. Donald Trump is a charlatan, a money changer, a grifter, a man with a smile and a knife behind his back. He is the Caligula of the 21st century.

So, what do you do now? You can't vote for Hillary Clinton, because you have been told for 30 years now that she is the Devil Incarnate... You can't vote for Trump because he has violated every moral clause in the Good Republican Handbook, and God will judge you for doing so. You can't vote for that Libertarian guy because he smokes pot. The Republicans in Congress are jumping the Trump ship in droves, but offering no alternative in return. It is an implosion that has been a long time coming , and, as I have said before, Republicans are never careful about what they wish for.

So I say to you, my fellow disenchanted and confused Americans on the Right, vote for someone you believe in. Use the "write in" box on your ballot and vote for your best friend or your boss, vote for your mother or father, hell, vote for Jesus if you want. At least you will feel good about it. I was a Democrat in the 90's and wrote in Kurt Vonnegut for President in 96' because I didn't like Bill Clinton.

The bottom line is that if you claim to have "values", or if you even remotely believe in what Jesus was really preaching, you can't possibly rationalize a vote for Trump. That would put you in a straight line to Hell, where Mr. Trump will be waiting to meet you.

I don't believe faith has anything to do with anything. It either is, or is not. It either works or doesn't work. People are capable or not capable. Trump is the least capable person on the planet, and Hillary is the most capable for president.

How many guns do you need? Americans own more guns per capita than any other country. That makes us LESS safe, not more so. The best home safety gun is a shotgun, not an "assault rifle." Hunters don't need assault rifles either. The NRA is a cult that sells fear.

    • MVKilgore profile image

      M. Victor Kilgore 10 months ago

They would have made many types of weapons illegal, if not for good organizations like the NRA pushing back.

Obama (the great uniter) has heightened racial division and civil unrest in his eight years. My right to bear arms, is even more important now.

Talk about la-la land, putting your faith in liars and crooks like Hillary (and yes, Trump) always leads to disappointment.

And BTW, Hillary made it quite clear that she supports the 2nd Amendment last night. She's NOT coming for your guns. Why are you gun owners so adamant about the necessity of our country's NEED for reasonable gun legislation? Do you WANT terrorists to buy guns? Do you WANT people on the 'no fly' list to buy guns? Do you WANT guns that can spray bullets on innocent people?

It just boggles the mind that gun owners think they should have a need to one day overthrow the government and the constitution of the United States. You will never have that need, and you won't be able to overcome the government defenses. You live in la-la land.

You really want to talk facts? How about the fact that you, or a family member, or a family friend are FAR more likely to get wounded or killed by your household gun than you killing or wounding an intruder. You gun guys can't handle this most basic and horrible statistic that has caused so many tragic and unneccessary deaths in this country, and that is a real shame on you and our society. So I get back to my point, if you have to keep a gun, keep it safe and away from children.

Pilgrim is good at name calling, but apparently confuses his esteemed opinion with fact.

He also doesn't strike me as one qualified to coach others on the proper handling of firearms, as his gun "facts" are mere misguided propaganda.

Paula, If I heard my husband say what DT said on video about grabbing a woman's p^$$y, The locks would be changed on the door before he got home.

I've been sexually assaulted and surprisingly almost EVERY woman I know has had to fend off unwelcome advances.

You believe Hillary is bad. But you are listening to the lies spread by the Republicans. They lie so much it is impossible to tell when they aren't.

Hillary has never been convicted of a crime. DT has had to pay many fines and penalties and has bragged about his debt load because of not paying people fair pay. He is under RICO indictment for Trump U, is about to go through a civil trial for RA P ING a 13 year old girl.

There is a TON of lies that DT says daily.

You really need to examine your image of Hillary. Do you hate her for what she has been accused of? or what?

Wow Austin, for someone so rude to others, it doesn't take much for you to judge another persons actions a poorly.

      mybillypilgrim

Sweetcakes is not a bad thing to say. I also say aw shucks and darn it. Those aren't bad either. As a matter of fact, the worst thing I will call someone is knucklehead, but I save that for the baddest of the bad. Telling someone to "Grow up and learn something." is. That is just plain rude, but even then I wouldn't call that a "shitty move", so it surprises me that people would be so offended by sweetcakes, especially on the internet.

      Wow...

Seems like Berniefan is a budda wrapped in an inigma, wrapped in a crank addiction. You are telling us to chill out, and then you call someone "sweet cakes"? That's a prety shitty move. Shame on your mantra.

Now, to adress MVK again. I am a lot more worried about getting shot by some insane white dude with a trunk full of legally purchased assault rifles than I am by some inner city gangbanger. The odds of my visiting the South side of Chicago are very slim, while I have to look over my back when I go to a mall or to the movies. Your pro gun culture has nothing to do with making anyone safer, not that you would ever listen to or believe the overwhelming statistics that back that up. Facts and public opinion mean nothing to you guys. Just do the right thing and keep your guns locked up and away from children.

Gee, I almost thought you were sane for a minute there. But the "sweet cakes" remark put you squarely into the deplorable camp.

The truth is the truth whether you "believe" it or not. The truth doesn't take sides. It is neither left or right or liberal or conservative. The truth is just simply there.

      Water is wet = truth

      Water is hot = opinion

Hot water is hot = truth

There is a difference between truth and fairy tales. Grow up and learn something.

I do own a gun and I use it on rattlesnakes and tresspassers. I choose to try and obey the laws of the land and not act like an ignorant fool accusing the world of being like inner city slums because that is only a tiny portion of people in this country. Most people are good.

And you can keep your make believe gods out of my life. They suck and have never done anything to improve human misery.

Amazing how mentally ill folks can become billionaires...keep living in your fantasy world, Hillbilly Pilgrim :)...and no, I don't waste time on Sean Hannity or Rush.

Neither Hillary or Donald are fit to be President, but that is what liberal media (and a few voters) choose in today's GODLESS society. Obviously, that is the society you want.

Just curious how long it would take take you to scream for a gun if you found yourself living in a Democrat-run, Chicago hood, gun-free zone with some trigger happy gangsters out for some fun.

    • Austinstar profile image

Austinstar 10 months ago from Somewhere in the universe

Hillary is no more going to go after your guns than Obama did.

She is not For abortions so much as she respects the law and abortions are legal.

And if you don't approve of gay marriages, don't marry a gay person.

Religious laws are what the Middle East wars are all about.

The USA firmly separates the law of the land from religious dogma, or is that just too hard for some people to understand?

Hillary is the clear choice for President in today's world.

Ok, folks, we are getting away from the point here. We can argue about the stupidity of religion while MVK hides out in his bunker with his precious guns and his blow up Sean Hannity doll ALL DAY, BUT WE ARE TRYING TO ELECT A PRESIDENT.

So let's focus on making sure that Trump supporters understand that they have glommed onto the the most perverted and mentally ill person ever to run for President. What started out as a joke has become a constitutional crisis in the making.

Not a chance in hell I will ever agree with a religious holier than thou judgemental hateful person such as you appear to be.

A "good Christian" knows to look at others fruits...enough with the "judge not" mantra, its such a weak copout for those who give no time to scripture and probably can only quote (or misquote) that one verse. Try SERIOUSLY reading/studying the Bible for yourself and you will agree with me.

Mvk - judge not, lest you be judged. You are obviously not a good christian!

    • MVKilgore profile image

Saying Hillary is a good Christian woman is akin to blasphemy! She is a CINO...Christian in name only. By their fruits you shall know them. Her "values" are far from those of the Bible. Notice I said Bible, not her goofy brand of Methodist churchanity. Get to know your Bible and you will quickly see that Hillary is many things, but a true Christian she is certainly not.

I didn't say YOU were lazy, I said your "non-vote" is lazy. So, tell me again where I called you names.

Vote for Hillary. It's the only intelligent vote available.

    • profile image

      Berniefan 10 months ago

I'm not lazy, actually I am a very hard working person. I am just not a puppet for the Democratic Party like most of the sheep that follow party lines. My non vote is not a protest; I just don't have a candidate that I feel is president material. I didn't want Hillary 8 years ago just like I don't want her now. To say that a non-vote is a vote for the person you don't like is just stupid. Read Thomas Swan's article on the subject and get educated before you start calling people names.

    • Austinstar profile image

Austinstar 10 months ago from Somewhere in the universe

No, Berniefan - All that is required for bad things to happen, is to ignore the issues and do nothing.

Your non-vote is lazy and shows that you do not pay attention to the issues. You think your non-vote is some sort of protest against the issues that you cannot, will not face.

Please take the time to examine the ISSUES, not the candidates, and PARTICIPATE in our governmental system.

It's the greatest system on the planet today. If you wimp out of your civic duty, then YOU are the problem!

    • profile image

      Berniefan 10 months ago

I vote for the person I want in office, not for the political party, therefore I cannot with good conscience vote for any of the candidates available. If people think that is a vote for Trump then they must be stupid little sheep. We are the ones who choose to give strength to the prisoners dilemma, not the political parties.

    • Austinstar profile image

Austinstar 10 months ago from Somewhere in the universe

Firstly, RMN - you seem to be fixated on the lies being told about both candidates. We can feel the unbelievable anger coming off your prose in waves.

Basically, I think everyone wants "the bible" out of government except for regressives and religious fanatics.

We would all like to see big government out of our lives as well. And especially corrupt government.

But what we have is so much greater than anarchy. What we have is a system that is too large to control, and a population that is too large to manage perfectly.

We can only do our best to try to get along.

If you think Donald Trump is the answer, you have very poor judgement of the issues and problems we face today. You need to educate yourself on how and why government does what it does.

I like "my understanding of the Bible." You know nothing and really should not speak of the Bible. Your ignorance of it is too evident. There is a difference between the Bible and religion. Did you know that? People like you like to point to the Bible when it's a benefit to you thinking it gives you standing. It only reveals who you are and that is sad. Your command of the English language is also suspect. I didn't compare Trump to a saint, I compared him to Hillary Clinton and when that is done, he looks like a saint. Your disrespect for the Bible makes you seem like a very angry person. It's obvious you have some very deep anger issues that manifest themselves in the form of anger at Christians. Christianity is not the problem. We have two choices this election. Trump is the lesser of the two evils. As far as the Republicans abandoning him, do you really think anybody is surprised. Do you know the term RINO? Republican In Name Only. I say let them go.

Wow, Readmikenow, you are one warped individual. My understanding of the bible reaches as far as "Are you fucking kidding me? People really believe this?" You can clutch to your 2,000 year old fairy tales as long as you want too, but to equate Donald Trump to a saint is a real stretch.

For the record, I was brought up Irish Catholic and had my First Communion, but soon realized that Catholicism was just part of the whole Christianity scam, created to bring weak minded individuals like yourself into the fold and to get your money. It's really pathetic that you could take a pious position and defend a scumbag like Donald Trump, just because you hate Hillary Clinton. I do not defend Hillary. I think she is a liar and a total sellout to the big banks (as is Obama). She is a dinosaur of the modern American political system that is beholden to corporate interests and contributions. If you want real change (the promise of Mr Trump), you are not going to find it in the ideas of Trump or Hillary or any of the current members of congress.

That said, given a choice among two very flawed candidates, you have to be insane to choose Trump (just look at the dozens of REPUBLICANS abandoning him) over Clinton.

"Conservatives, Tea baggers, Republicans, and right wing Christians" Ah, the old saying "What you are speaks so loudly I can't hear what you're saying." I would like to know your understanding of the Bible as well as Biblical principles. If I wasn't going to vote for Trump...this made me turn toward him. It's time to look at the option. A pathological liar who protected her husband as he raped women. A woman who let American military members die at the hands of the enemy and lied about to our face. A person who is only remotely successful because she owns the mainstream media. A woman who runs a charity that puts millions of dollars into her personal bank account. A woman who destroyed thousands of Emails in a cover-up of epic proportions. Hillary is one of the single most corrupt public officials to ever seek the office. Trump is almost a saint compared to this woman.

I agree with Austinstar wholeheartedly, and would never encourage people to not vote for Hillary if I thought the race was still close. My goal here is to convince Trump voters who are on the fence to not vote for him. The one thing that unites them is their hatred for Hillary, so I really don't think I am pulling any votes away from her.

So yes, Pcunix, those of us on the left, no matter what we think of her, must vote for Hillary for the sake of the country.

I don't like Hillary. She's way too far right for me. But I recognize that she isn't going to do much that I won't be able to stomach. Trump, on the other hand, already has me gagging.

A write in, a vote for Johnson or Stein is still a vote for Trump. Remember Al Gore versus G.W. Bush? He won the popular vote, but lost the electoral college.

If you don't vote for Hillary, you are shooting yourself in the foot all over again. Pretty soon, you won't have any legs to stand on.

Hillary is not the "devil", surely any rational person knows that. Even Trump acknowledged that she doesn't quit. She is a dedicated public servant who will walk the middle path. She is neither right nor left. She is for equality of all. If anyone can work with the Republicans, it is her.

      Trump only works for himself.

Thanks for this hub. I appreciate it. As a 30 year GOPer, maybe the time has come for the party to finally figure out what direction we are going. Ryan is the future, not Trump. Trump and his followers are just neo-socialists with a hint of racial grievances. You can't be against free trade and NATO, but still be a Republican. Sorry. It's a non-starter.

Never seen a more incompetent campaign or candidate. No ads, no state offices and never tried to expand his base. Pathetic.
