Trump Conspired With the Russians to Violate US Election Law

Updated on July 27, 2017

Trump will do anything to stop the investigation into his collusion with the Russians.

Trump’s team wrote the original version propaganda that was disseminated to his supporters regarding a meeting—we will never know how many other similar meetings there were, in which his campaign colluded with the Russians.

For the Russians to collude with Trump they would want to get something from Trump.

The Russians have been working on making Trump Jr. their agent for some time.

Trump Jr. swore he would testify under oath, which since he said it meant it was least likely thing to occur.

It isn’t only Trump Jr., Kushner and Manafort, but Sessions also, who have been exposed as colluding with Russians recently.

Trump knows that the investigations are getting closer and closer to him and is considering attacking all of those who are investigating him.

The firing of Spicer and the hiring of Scaramucci signals that Trump will more aggressively attack the truth—if that is imaginable.

Trump conspired with the Russians to violate US election law.

We will hear from GOP operatives that Trump Jr. wouldn’t apprise his father about his attempts to get derogatory information about Hillary Clinton from Russia, which is a foreign adversary. If you believe that then Don the con has some real estate he wants to sell you, probably to accomplish laundering Russian money. The article “Donald Trump Jr. and Russia: What the Law Says”states “A federal law, Section 30121 of Title 52, makes it a crime for any foreigner to contribute or donate money or some “other thing of value” in connection with an American election, or for anyone to solicit a foreigner to do so. Legal experts struggled to identify any precedent for prosecutions under that statute, but that phrase is common in other federal criminal statutes covering such crimes as bribery and threats, said Richard L. Hasen, an election-law professor at the University of California, Irvine. Courts have held, in other contexts, that a “thing of value” can be something intangible, like information.

Robert Bauer, an election-law specialist who served as White House counsel in the Obama administration, argued that this statute covers the Russian government’s paying its spies and hackers to collect and disseminate negative information about Mrs. Clinton to help Mr. Trump win the 2016 election.

“There are firms in the United States that do negative research and sell it to campaigns,” Mr. Bauer argued. “There is no way to take information someone has compiled using resources and say it’s just information and dirt. It’s valuable information and counts as a contribution when given to or distributed for the benefit of a campaign.”…

The unprecedented issues raised by the Trump-Russia affair have led criminal law specialists to delve into other, more creative theories. For example, the federal conspiracy statute also prohibits conspiracies to “defraud” the United States by impeding the federal government’s lawful functions. Randall D. Eliason, a former federal prosecutor who teaches at George Washington University, has argued that this could include a conspiracy to undermine a federal administration of a presidential election.”

Trump is lying about the meeting his son and son-in-law, Kushner and campaign manager, Manafort had with Russians.

We understand Trump and we immediately knew that Trump would disseminate as many different versions of the meeting as he thought he needed to. The July 17, 2017 article “The ever-changing story about Trump Jr.'s meeting -- what we know” states “New revelations about Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting last summer with a Russian lawyer are continuing to surface a week after the revelation rocketed the President's eldest son to the center of allegations of collusion with Russia….

On June 3, 2016, Trump Jr. received an email from Rob Goldstone, a publicist for Emin Agalarov -- a Russian-Azerbaijani pop star who has previously done business with the Trumps alongside his father Aras Agalarov, a Russian real estate mogul with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The emails were publicly released by Trump Jr. this week after The New York Times asked him for comment about the emails.

Goldstone's email informs Trump Jr. that the Russian government is eager to provide "official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary" to the Trump campaign.

"This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump -- helped along by Aras and Emin," Goldstone said in the email.

Less than 20 minutes later, Trump Jr. makes it clear he's interested: "(I)f it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer."”

Trump’s team wrote the original version propaganda that was disseminated to his supporters regarding the meeting. This misinformation mentioned only a Russian l

The article “Trump approved Don Jr.'s initial statement on Russian attorney meeting, which omitted promise of Clinton dirt: Report” states “President Trump approved the initial statement put out by his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., explaining why he met last summer with a lawyer linked to the Russian government, according to a report Tuesday night.

The New York Times said that Trump signed off on the statement, in which Trump Jr. said the meeting had been primarily related to a ban on adoptions by American families of Russian children.

The original statement was drafted aboard Air Force One by advisers and then approved by Trump himself.”

Why did Trump write the first statement of the meeting? What does that show about the degree of contact between Trump and Trump Jr.? If Trump was that quickly involved with the coverup of the meeting, he was also intimately involved in the crime, the meeting.

As of now we know that in addition to the Russian lawyer there was also a money launderer, and an agent in the Russian intelligence services at the meeting. The article “Eighth person in Trump Tower meeting is identified” states “A U.S.-based employee of a Russian real estate company took part in a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting between a Russian lawyer and Donald Trump Jr., bringing to eight the number of known participants at the session that has emerged as a key focus of the investigation of the Trump campaign’s interactions with Russians.

Ike Kaveladze attended the meeting as a representative of Aras and Emin Agalarov, the father-and-son Russian developers who hosted the Trump-owned Miss Universe pageant in Moscow in 2013, according to Scott Balber, an attorney for the Agalarovs who said he also represents Kaveladze…

Balber said Kaveladze recalls the meeting lasted about 30 minutes and mostly involved discussion of the 2012 sanctions law. In attending the meeting, Kaveladze brought a history of controversy.

In 2000, his actions as the head of a Delaware company called International Business Creations were the subject of a congressional investigation of how Russians and other foreigners were able to launder large amounts of money through U.S. banks.

The Government Accountability Office report, which had been requested by then-Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), concluded that it was “relatively easy” for these foreigners to use shell companies to open U.S. bank accounts and route hidden money through the American financial system.”

The article also states “The Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, was leading an effort to get Congress to lift sanctions imposed in 2012 to punish Russia for human rights abuses, a topic of deep importance to the Russian government. Angered over the law, called the Magnitsky Act, Russia had put a hold on adoptions of children by U.S. families.

Also present at the meeting was Rinat Akhmetshin, a Soviet army veteran whose military service in the 1980s came in a unit whose responsibilities included counterintelligence. Now a Russian American lobbyist, he has earned a reputation as a savvy political operator, at times boosting the reputation of his clients by sullying the reputations of their enemies. He has denied working for the Russian government or intelligence services.”

By the way, the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, might have had Russian intelligence connections.

We can see how Trump could have benefitted from the meeting. Dirt on Hillary Clinton and the financial motivations that can be accomplished by money laundering for the Russians would have been too significant for Trump to pass up.

What would the Russians have to gain? The Russians wanted the U.S. to stop arming anti-Assad rebels and wanted to have their U.S. compounds returned. They got

The article “Trump ends covert CIA program to arm anti-Assad rebels in Syria, a move sought by Moscow” states “President Trump has decided to end the CIA’s covert program to arm and train moderate Syrian rebels battling the government of Bashar al-Assad, a move long sought by Russia, according to U.S. officials.”

The article “Sebastian Gorka: Trump would return Russian compounds to give 'collaboration' a chance” states “Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Trump, said Thursday the Trump administration is weighing the return of two Russian diplomatic compounds because it wants to give "collaboration and cooperation a chance."”

If Trump issues a veto of the Russian sanctions, then this rationale will be trotted out again.

Putin also enjoys seeing Trump act like his puppet. Trump gets as a giggly as a teen-age girl whenever he sees Putin as the world saw at the G-20 meeting.

The Russians have been working on making Trump Jr their agent for some time.

The article “Donald Trump Jr. Was Likely Paid at Least $50,000 for Event Held by Hosts Allied With Russia on Syria” states “President Donald Trump’s eldest son was likely paid at least $50,000 for an appearance late last year before a French think tank whose founder and his wife are allies of the Russian government in efforts to end the war in Syria.”

Trump Jr. swore he would testify under oath, which since he said it meant it was least likely thing to occur.

The article “Trump Jr. and Manafort reach deal with Senate panel to avoid public hearing” states “The leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee have cut a deal with President Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort to avoid being subpoenaed for a high-profile public hearing next week, with the two men agreeing to provide records to the panel and to be privately interviewed ahead of any public session.

In a joint statement, panel Chairman Chuck Grassley and ranking member Dianne Feinstein said, "(W)e will not issue subpoenas for them tonight requiring their presence at Wednesday's hearing but reserve the right to do so in the future."

Feinstein tweeted later Friday evening, "The Judiciary Committee will talk to Trump Jr. & Manafort before they testify in public, but we will get answers."

Last week, Trump Jr. told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he would testify under oath about his recently revealed 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians, where he attempted to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.”

Trump Jr. knew he wouldn’t testify in an open session when he lied to Hannity. The Trumps lie as frequently as they can in order that they can keep in practice.

It isn’t only Trump Jr., Kushner and Manafort, but Sessions also, who have been exposed as colluding with Russians recently.

The article “Sessions discussed Trump campaign-related matters with Russian ambassador, U.S. intelligence intercepts show” states “Russia’s ambassador to Washington told his superiors in Moscow that he discussed campaign-related matters, including policy issues important to Moscow, with Jeff Sessions during the 2016 presidential race, contrary to public assertions by the embattled attorney general, according to current and former U.S. officials.

Ambassador Sergey Kislyak’s accounts of two conversations with Sessions — then a top foreign policy adviser to Republican candidate Donald Trump — were intercepted by U.S. spy agencies, which monitor the communications of senior Russian officials in the United States and in Russia. Sessions initially failed to disclose his contacts with Kislyak and then said that the meetings were not about the Trump campaign.“

Trump doesn’t know anything about the limits of the presidency, so he is openly pondering tactics that have no chance of succeeding.

The article “In tweet storm, Trump decries ‘illegal leaks’ and asserts ‘all agree’ he has complete power to pardon” portrays an unhinged Trump as it states “A defiant President Trump unleashed a flurry of nearly a dozen tweets Saturday morning, asserting that he has the “complete power to pardon” aides, family members and possibly even himself — an apparent response to the special counsel’s widening Russia probe — and decrying “illegal leaks” in the “FAKE NEWS.”

The president also lashed out at a new Washington Post report of previously undisclosed alleged contacts between Attorney General Jeff Sessions — at the time a U.S. senator and senior adviser to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign — and a Russian official. In a tweet, Trump called the disclosures an illegal new “intelligence leak,” part of his continuing effort to try to shift the public focus to what he claims is a partisan attempt to undermine his presidency.”

In addition to pardoning people, Trump also has been talking about firing Special Counsel Mueller. The article “Can Trump pardon anyone? Himself? Can he fire Mueller? Your questions, answered.” states “If Trump were to pardon Flynn, for example, Flynn might not then be able to assert his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination if questioned.”

So, Trump could pardon people, but that person then could not plead the Fifth, and that would be worse for Trump.

Regarding pardoning himself, the article states “Brian Kalt, professor of law at Michigan State University, makes a number of other arguments worth assessing. His point in short? A self-pardon would certainly have to be evaluated by the Supreme Court, and there’s not much reason to think that it would be upheld.”

There is nothing Trump can do about impeachment as the article states “Impeachment itself is specifically carved out of the presidential pardon power within the Constitution, so if Trump were impeached, he’d have no counter to that action.”

Regarding if Trump can have Mueller fired the article has a lengthy flowchart. If someone in the chain of command agrees to fire Mueller the article states “Either they’d have to throw out the regulations binding the firing of Mueller or they’d have to establish cause for firing him.

If either of those things is done, Mueller is fired. But the former would be exceptional and, given the bounds of the possible causes for firing special counsel — “misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause, including violation of Departmental policies” — it’s unlikely that a viable case for firing Mueller could be made in good faith at this point. If a cause can’t be found by Rosenstein, it’s hard to see how he could continue in that position.”

Trump thinks he can reshape America into following his idol, Putin’s Russia. Trump thinks he can fire anyone that disagrees with his desires, as Putin does.

Hiring Scaramucci signals that Trump will more aggressively attack the truth—if that is imaginable.

The article “Trump’s new team offers muddled messages on sanctions, pardons” states “Trump’s top communication aides set out to try to present a united front two days after the president added New York financier Anthony Scaramucci as communications director and promoted Sarah Huckabee Sanders to press secretary after Sean Spicer resigned unexpectedly. Trump has fumed for months over the FBI probe into his campaign’s contacts with Russia, angered that the nonstop media coverage has overshadowed his achievements and stalled his agenda.”

Like a real-estate swindler Trump thinks the deal is all about presentation. He thinks he can keep power if he can spin reality to suits his needs. The article states “Asked about the sanctions almost simultaneously on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Scaramucci noted he’d only been on the job for a few days.

“You’ve got to ask President Trump that. My guess is that he’s going to make that decision shortly,” he said, adding that as far as he knew Trump “hasn’t made the decision yet to sign that bill one way or the other.””

The sanctions bill passed the Senate by a 97-2 vote because our intelligence community has overwhelming evidence that Russia interfered with our 2016 presidential election to help Trump.

This is horrible. Trump wants to brainwash his followers and wants to consolidate his power, because that is what autocrats, such as Putin, would do.

I dont follow her, i agree with her.

And i back up everything i say. You just ignore it.

Hows this for a dim-witted blurb: "lock her up". Sounds like a raging bunch of 2 yr olds.

And how long you been here? You know nothig of how they target liberals here....especially if you speak out against Netanyahu.

Whether hubpages knows anything about it, i dont know.

But you can see it in the way they treat Jake. This is called targeting an individual.

And i know for a fact, they were emailing people, telling them not to engage with me.

And now you are telling me i wasnt shadow-banned?

Ok, what do you call it when no one can see your comments?

Ask your sister in snideness. The day i was suddenly visible, she made fun of my profile pic. Said i thought i was some sex kitten or something. It was a pic for my enjoyment only.

So i changed it to a picture of a nun.

For the prudesters who now suddenly dont care about sexual promiscuity.

      Go figure.

      Leslie,

"“I can tell you the government has no business in the decisions that women make with their families in accordance with their rights,” Clinton said. “And I will stand up for that right."

You may not realize it but Hillary Clinton pushes abortion most likely due to her view that most women are not smart enough to actually use their heads and use birth control. She caters to the ill-educated because they are very easy to lead around by the nose. Her favorite woman is dull-witted, and a woman that has a very little capability to prosses a thought. Thie kind of woman that buys into a by-line or a media blurb that is, as a rule, is not backed up with any form of facts.

Yes, she hopes the ill-educated will opt for abortion. Why would she wanted the government to be responsible for supporting them or for that matter more of the same even being born? She is a sociopath, she could care less about anyone but herself. Anyone that would support late-term abortion is sick.

And in regards to you "And I will stand up for that right."

Leslie, it's clear you are one of the women that will follow someone like Clinton. You make outrages statements that can't be backed by facts. You deflect from one subject to another when you can't defend your opinion. Leslie, time to stop listening to media that offer a word or two on any given subject or reading a sentence or two from an internet site. Before commenting do some research on a subject before commenting.

It is clear people stay away from conversing with you. No one is shadow banning you. NO one can wrap their heads around your opinions.

“Using that kind of scare rhetoric is just terribly unfortunate,” Clinton said of her opponent.

“This is one of the worst possible choices that any woman and her family has to make, and I do not believe the government should be making it.”

Drawing from her record as former secretary of state, Clinton noted she had traveled to countries where governments either forced women to undergo abortions or in other cases to bear children.

“I can tell you the government has no business in the decisions that women make with their families in accordance with their rights,” Clinton said. “And I will stand up for that right."

      ******

You might want Dump making decisions for you, ill pass.

SHAR ,,No one knows what HubPages does or doesn't do. It depends upon the day, hour and minute.......and who, in particular from HP you are dealing with. In my dealings with them, I've gotten as many as 3 different answers and most often.....no response at all or a "pre-written, auto-response note that didn't even come close to answering my query.

In any event, like I said, I'm sure each individual can figure out most attitudes of our fellow writers, by interaction or simply reading the contents of their minds. She's a Hillary fanatic, which says pretty much all anyone never wanted to know. She's especially fond of Hillary's support of LATE TERM ABORTION. You know, when "women control their own bodies by snuffing out the life of a perfectly formed BABY, that must be murdered before being removed from their loving mother". These would be the women who have ZERO control over their bodies or choices BEFORE getting pregnant. Yeah....Mr & Mrs Rodham should have believed in abortion.

Leslie is classic RIGHT-Hater.....sore losers, rioters, delusional, jealous, ruthless, vindictive. Noways, they're also losers and getting angrier by the minute.

Lol. The Queen of Mean. How many times do i have to explain it?

At least now i know the name for it: shadow banning.

It happened to me for over a year.

But i used my comment sections to record what was going on in the world, and yes it was only for my view.

One day suddenly i showed up on the feed. You remember? You insulted me for my profile pic.

Since then, i use it to communicate my views, which you all tried to silence.

Btw, do you have an opinion on a Trump connected ex cia officer calling on Trumpites to arm themselves and kill Trump detractors?

I mean, if a lefty said it about Trumpalumps, there would be OUTRAGE.

Sharon, Ken & other sane, fellow-writers.....I probably needn't mention this at this point, but save yourselves the brain power & energy that you are wasting, interacting with Leslie. She cannot help herself and is off the rails, permanently. It is clear to everyone, she is non-stop babble, repetitive nonsense, completely lost in the prison of Left Lunacy without a single clue of the facts, truth or common sense. Have you ever visited her site and read her articles? She is not only the author...she's also nearly the sole commenter and will leave dozens of comment, one after another, to HERSELF. If this seems a bit strange to you, believe it. Be kind to yourself and allow her to live in her very own private world of ranting & raving toward the wind. I finally realized that Leslie needs to lash out, scream and holler, jump up & down & have massive tantrums of "Blame the right...blame the right," in order to cover for her anger & outrage for the troublesome issues in her personal life. Be patient, but save your strength. EVERYONE eventually runs out of empty steam. I believe at one time, she could have been a very nice, stable & loving person. Perhaps one day, she'll return to normalcy. I suppose she means well.

Anyone used to the Vast Right Wing is not surprised.

My only question is how long has Russia been involved?

Funny, there are no gun rights in Russia...its very limited. Odd that they (Putin kgb mob) promote Americans owning guns, partner with the NRA, while at the same time spreading divisive rhetoric which spurs hatred....

They literally CAN bury us without firing any shots....

      Americans will do the shooting.

Flexibility is treasonous?? And Trump said “I don’t see why it would be Russia”

You can believe he meant to say wouldn’t, I say its like “depends on what the definition of is is.”

And if he thinks Russia hacked, he needs to say so and do something about it.

So far, he stands with Putin, and plenty of Trumpites don’t care that Putin hacked. They like Putin more than democratic Americans.

I don’t know what’s going on, but I see signs of something. The truth is coming out, and some people will go down with the ship rather than face it.

How in the world can they still support him when they find out he forced women to abort? After calling us baby killers all these years?

And the awful stories are coming out too. If Clinton was bad, at least it was with grown women, not teenage sex slaves.

It is beyond horrible, and he should never ever have run for prez.

Donald Trump is president. Donald Trump is locking up kids. Donald Trump paid for an abortion or two. He is playing you for a rube. The more you pivot to Clinton all the time, the more obvious it is.

I am not interested in reliving the Clinton Chronicles. I’m interested in Dirty Don the Con.

He doesn’t fool me, like he does you. A nice guy, he isn’t. And if you will sacrifice humanity for the sake of your religious right government, that’s your problem, not mine.

It will never ever work here. We are a free people. We do not bow to ideology, and Trump is going down. You think no one knows about him, but he has been on their radar for a very long time. I don’t think he can skirt the law this time.

The one saving grace is he’s not alone. Many will go down with him.

And this nightmare better be over then.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. Slip up, and you get owned.

Umm no. The investigation was started long before the dossiere. Trump had a Russian gambling ring living one floor beneath him, for gids sakes. Hes a gd mobster, open your eyes!

And no. Hillary did not pay for the dossiere, a lawyer did.

And you can also read the deposition of a woman and 2 witnesses who said Trump violently raped her when she was 13.

But let me guess.....they are lying. Fbi, uk, aussie, israeli intelligence are all lying. Manafort, Bannon, Flynn will all be lying. Everyone lies but Dump and Klannity and femi-nazi Rush.

Trump works everday for himself, and doesn't give 2 squats for America.

Otherwise, we wouldn't now be known as a nation that separates families, locks up children, and has toddlers represent themselves in court!

Leslie, You certainly are convinced of your own rhetoric? Although none of what you have said is based in any factual evidence.

"And the dems didnt use any of what they learned from that dossiere. That is a matter for the DOJ. "

Didn't use the info? The dossier that Hillary paid for was handed to the FBI, and used to obtain FISA warrants? Do you realize you skew facts to your own liking?

In regards to womanizing. Hillary's husband Bill stuck a cigar into Monica's vagina. Then sucked on it. You can read Monica's deposition online in full. It is the most disgusting thing I have ever read. No one could beat Hillary's husband at womanizing. He is the kind of depravity, and she stayed with him... Yeah, she would be the woman that I would want to be the first woman president.

So odd you feel he has broken so many laws throughout his life, yet he has never been charged?

You stated you could never respect anyone that would support Trump. I will go one further. I am not going to be corresponding any longer with you. It is clear you don't respect facts, you are consumed by hatred due to not being able to the processes facts that are very easy to come by. It's clear you don't do any real research on any subject you comment on. It's difficult to communicate with someone that just clearly buys into innuendo due to nothing other than hating president Trump. I respect the president and the job he is doing. Plus I follow facts, we just have nothing in common... I am filled with gratitude for what the president is accomplishing. I am happy with the direction the country is headed. I am pleased I chose the right person to vote for. I feel president Trump is working every day for America and considering the needs of all of us. He actually is the best president I have seen in my lifetime.

I could go the route with an argument that there was far more evidence tying Podesta and Clinton to collusion with Russia (and Ukriane, and Saudi Arabia, and China) than anything possible they can find on Trump (and his staff).

I could go the route with an argument that since he wasn't a politician representing America in any official status prior to his becoming President it really doesn't matter what his relations were with any Russians (who we are not at war with).

But what I would like to focus on is this... Democrats, the hardcore and the politicians, are confused. They’ve got CNN, MSNBC, Newspapers and NPR all over their “Trump colluded with Russia” story, for two years running.

      Why don’t people care?

Even most Democratic voters don’t care!

      Well, lets consider this.

These same outlets (CNN, NPR, NYT) told us Trump was worse than that guy who led Germany into WWII. They said Trump would plunge us into WWIII. They said he would set civil rights and women's rights and everyone's rights back 100 years. They said the economy would fail and the stock market crash. It was going to be the end of America.

... I don't watch much TV or listen to NPR often but I didn't notice any of those things happening.

I noticed the stock market shot up to unimaginable heights. I noticed unemployment went down and wages are starting to creep up. Gas prices are still low. No new wars have broken out.

Things seem pretty good, and getting better.

But this is about how Trump is a agent for Putin right?

How does Russia benefit from America's economy getting stronger, and a President that is putting more money into the military than his predecessor?

How does Putin and Russia benefit from Trump making a new agreement with the EU so that they buy more LG from America and less from Russia?

      Very confusing.

I think if the Democratic Party had anything they would have used it by now.

Lo Russian nationalists. You mean patriots who care about their country. Not Vladimir? Im all for them. More power to them.

And the dems didnt use any of what they learned from that dossiere. That is a matter for the DOJ. They deal with international crime. But Hillary did tell the truth about Trump. On her own. And she knows. As do plenty of journos, who covered for him all during the campaign. Now they jump on the bandwagon and pretend they never knew about comrade Trump.

Well guess what? Day late, dollar short. Every journo who bashed Hillary can kiss it. And that is all of them.

Oh and i cant wait for this one:

Your Bible come to life savior had many more than 2 affairs on Melania. And paid for at least one abortion....which he wanted.

Wonder how they wil spin "Trump kills babies in the womb."

      My guess?

They will ignore, like they do Netanyahu. Or they will scream Yeah, well Hillary.

Only dems are baby killers. Trump gets another Mulligan.

And Trump Tower is not public. Its private property and we all heard how Dump was bringing people up through the back door.

Junior took the meeting with the Russian gvt (mob boss Putin)

Trump made up the phony cover story, and proceeed to tweet out the info they got from Putin.

That is a crime. Lets see if he pays his way out of this one.

Do you find it as distasteful that Hillary Clinton bought and paid for a dossier that was provided by Russian nationalists? As I stated Trump Jr Had his meeting with the Russian attorney in Trump Tower, a very public place. he did not sneak around or try to hide the meeting as Hillary did. The only one that was searching for damaging information was candidate Hillary Clinton. And she did it in a very underhanded way.

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon called a June 2016 meeting with a group of Russians attended by Donald Trump Jr. and his father’s top campaign officials “treasonous” and “unpatriotic,” according to excerpts of a new book seen by Reuters on Wednesday.

In the book, Bannon expressed derision and astonishment over the meeting at Trump Tower in New York in which a Russian lawyer was said to be offering damaging information about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Trump Jr. arranged the meeting and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and then-campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, also attended.

“The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor - with no lawyers. They didn’t have any lawyers,” Bannon was quoted as saying in excerpts of the book seen by Reuters.

“Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad sh*t, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Bannon also was quoted as saying, “The chance that Don Jr. did not walk these jumos up to this father’s office on the twenty-sixth floor is zero.”

      And i didnt insult you...

I said i have no respect for Trump supporters. You, however, personally called me bitter and ill-informed.

Trump is a loser, and has committed treason on the USA.

If this was Obama or Hillary, the repubs in charge would have long ago impeached.

What is sad and deplorable is that you believe all you have listed, and none of it is based in any truth. And yes you can assume I support the president and all his wonderful accomplishments.

Do you realize that Hillary bought and paid for dirt on Trump from Russian? Trump's son had a meeting in the middle of Manhattan in Trump tower where cameras are all over the building for security. Does logic not tell you he was not trying to hide the meeting?

In regards to jobs. we now have the lowest unemployment in our history of keeping records? Not sure why you would believe otherwise? Just this morning they reported a DPD of 4.1.

I don't want to insult you but it is clear you don't keep up with the current news. And I as you have insulted me for who I support, I must say I have no respect for someone that promotes untruths.

You seem bitter, and ill-informed on facts? I guess we can agree to disagree. I find your comments redundant and nonsensical.

Lol. Do i know what a dog whistle is? Yeah: "There is a second amendment solution should Hillary win"......hows that for one? Or how bout this: "Fire the sob's!" Trump's great at whistling.

And since you have not condemned what Trumps says, i have every right to assume that you support it.

And no, you did not answer my questions. But no need, turns out Trump did know about the Trump Tower meeting, the Russian hacking, and Wikileaks plan to release the stolen emails. He lied cause he was involved. There is a word for that.

      As far as Hillary, here is exactly what she said;

"We are living in a volatile political environment. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic -- you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people -- now 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks -- they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America."

"But the other basket -- and I know this because I see friends from all over America here -- I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas -- as well as, you know, New York and California -- but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they're just desperate for change. It doesn't really even matter where it comes from. They don't buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroin, feel like they're in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well."

      ******

Personally, i have no desire to understand and empathize with anyone who thinks it's ok to steal kids and lock them in cages, but thats just me.

The first part, i agree 100%. As well as Trump being Putins Puppet.

And you see she said she was "grossly generalistic".....in other words, she is talking about the fringe.

But of course, Trumpites jump on it as "oooh ooooooh, she called us deplorable"

Well, if youre racist, misogynist, xenophobic, islamophobic, homophobic....guess what? You are!

But if you are not, grow up and look around you. Deplorables exist.

Leslie, I have expressed my feelings on all of your points in previous comments here. Not willing to dribble on and repeat myself. Not sure where you even get your information from? But I can see by your statement -"I can say i agree 100% that some Trumpers are absolutely deplorable.

I don’t separate my support from her words."

Could I say the same about you, no? But I don't believe anyone should call a group of people deplorable? Not sure if you know what a "dog whistle" is? But the comment Hillary made in regards to Trump supporters being deplorable was to reach out with a dog whistle to reach the unintelligent that were following her every word. To prop up these ill-educated to feel they belonged to a group of people that were very intelligent. The people she reached with that dog whistle statement are in general those that need others to cling onto due to not having the ability to think for themselves. Their called followers... You keep following her words? Not sure she actually said too much? She only had a few rallies?

"So, when Trump says Crooked Hillary and Crazy Bernie and democrats don’t love America, and the media is the enemy of the people....I assume you feel that way, too."

The problem you have is "you assume". You don't know me, my ideas, my morals, my thought process. But, your statement does let me see into your thought process. You are a follower. Otherwise, you would have never made such a statement. Do you read what you post?

      B:

That may be true, but those connections could lead back to Hillary Clinton, the DNC and the FBI?

Or are you thinking like those alleged Russian government connections alleged to have been attributed to Carter Page and the year long surveillance on him that results in nothing? No Russian Connection, and Carter Page hasn't even been indicted, and there hasn't been a grand jury convened.

Once again, what you describe has no familiarity to me. My paycheck has been reduced, the cost of living is ridiculous...$3.12 per gallon of gas last week. The trade deals? They are hurting Americans, and healthcare premiums are going UP due to the mangling of the ACA. And our vets are having benefits cut. Food stamps and medical.

And careful, when Michelle Obama said that, she was excoriated. Of course, a white woman gets a pass as always.

Many of these children, how many? 1%, 2%? The vast majority are innocent of anything but desperation. Guess who gave big donation to Trump? Private prison owners. How cool. Trump gives them poor helpless bodies for their for profit brutality. Have you read any first hand accounts? It’s Trump all over: mean, heartless, and cold as ice.

You are not helping them, they are being abused. Funny, they don’t lock up the illegal Irish in Boston. Wonder why? Cause they look like Norwegians, maybe?

Sorry, but I have no respect for anyone who supports Trump, and I know the feeling is mutual on your end for those of us who voted Hillary.

Our government is now left with children that have been abandon by the person that dragged them across the border. Oh, I am finally after 8 years proud of my country. I must deflect... Have you been following our booming economy and the new trade deals that will make trade fair? The decrease in drug prices, the soring jobs numbers, the repatriated cash that is pouring in. The WH program to promote STEM in America. The great healthcare our Vets are receiving. He is working hard to provide jobs for all... Jut today he met with the head of the EU and made sure our soybean farmers can sell their crops at a fair price. I choose to wait for the final outcome of the Mueller investigation before condemning Trump. I am aware of the Trump University scandal, and that Trump was a womanizer. I voted for his agenda, which he is more than delivering on. I don't discuss Hillary Clinton, due to living through all of her scandals. No ones had to dig up her horrible history, I lived through it. Leslie, you brought up the subject? I in no way was forcing my feelings on you or anyone. You gave your opinion, but find mind differs from yours, so you put up a barrier and become defensive in regards to mine. Abortion is a serious subject, and it is clear women are divided in their opinions. You presume my opinion is dictated by "church or State"? I came by my opinion due to my personal job experience with abortion. My opinion is my own as yours is your own. I did not try to force my opinion on you. I just offered my opinion after you gave yours?

It's very clear you dislike president Trump and have offered many reasons why you dislike him. I told you that was my belief. The investigation is ongoing. And I also said they are circling the Fox. It is possible to be dirty yet remain clean by having others do your dirty work for you. However, in Trump’s world, it’s all dirty.

It takes a lot to bring down an international crime ring. Give it time. We had 6 years for Hillary, didn’t we?

Here is Trump’s red-lining. Typical racist stuff of that era:

Here is his fine for money laundering.....and trust and believe, it’s an ongoing thing, he and all his 3 Ivana spawn. Real estate hides lots of money if you know how to work it:

      https://www.fincen.gov/news/news-releases/fincen-f...

I’m surprised you don’t know of the Trump University fraud, it was right before the election! But then the media gave Trump a pass on everything. “Locker room talk”....are you kidding me? How many months did we hear “g-d America”? Smh:

      https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/feder...

I know you heard the tape where Cohen was going to set up a company to pay someone off.......these rich people get away with murder in the USA!

Please provide a source of this statement? Never heard of the President being charged with money laundering or fraud?

"And i, too, am heartsick that woman are once again put in the position to have religious people running their lives.....in our lifetime, woman as free people has come and gone. With 3 daughters, it makes me sad and angry beyond words."

Women are free people. and should be smart enough to make decisions on having children. As I said birth control is the best and the most intelligent way to handle family planning. An intelligent woman does not leave it up to anyone else to make the decision in regards to getting pregnant. I do condone abortion in the case of rape, mothers health, and incest. Otherwise, I don't support abortion being a casual decision a woman has the right to make. As I mentioned being an RN made me very aware of what is the outcome of abortion. Most of the time a dead baby, some of the time a fetus taking some time gasping for air that its lungs are too immature to take in, laying on a dirty utility counter until it dies. You see sometimes the procedure is botched. The woman ends up in an ER where the baby is expelled and left to die.

Leslie for the rest of your complaints in regards to the president, none is based in fact? I can't really comment on your list of complaints. I guess all I can say is if all of what you have listed is 1/3 true Mueller's job should have been very easy. Yet he has as of yet charged the president with anything.

So, my question to you is simple. Why has Mueller or no other law enforcement agency charged the president with the crimes you have listed?

And i, too, am heartsick that woman are once again put in the position to have religious people running their lives.....in our lifetime, woman as free people has come and gone. With 3 daughters, it makes me sad and angry beyond words.

As far as Trump, this is what i believe: The fbi, law enforcement agencies, spy agencies from around the world know all about this global organized crime unit of which Trump is a part.

I think they sacrificed Hillary Clintons presidency to bring him down.

      And it p*sses me off.

Trump and assocites were in their cross-hairs long before 2016.

Thats why he was caught up in the phone tap; they were monitoring his friend and neighbor Manafort. Manaforts daughter can tell you all about how close Trump and her dad were.

Trump is on tape lying about knowing Felix Sater, who at one point ran his campaign!

This is how they catch a fox. Start at the outer edges, and move in to the core.

Trump long ago sold out to the Russian mob.

I know you will not believe it, but honestly, there have been many documentaries made on it.

And also honestly, he could easily have been put under impeachment proceedings already for lying about an affair, like they did with Bill Clinton.

      But Republicans protect their own.

Unfortunately for him, Republicans in the DOJ dont give a rats behind about political expediency....for the most part. The exception being Guiliani and the New York field office, who hate the Clintons, and use their office for revenge.

Guiliani is also bought by the mob, imo, and his loyalty lies not with the USA.

Its funny, i had a friend tell me that Guiliani, et al, brought down La Cosa Nostra so the Irish mob could take over. But it wasnt the Irish mob at all. It was the Red Mafiya.

Of course, this is all my opinion. But Trump and his family are big time mobbed up.

I just feel for Barron. The rest can rot in hell for all i care. They will meet their end on this road they chose to travel. Or i should say, that their dad chose for them. And even that is wrong. It goes back to his father.

"No one gets involved in New York real estate without encountering the mob". Trumps dad allegedly with the Genovese family.

And Sammy the Bull Gravano mentions Trump in a documentary called American Gangsters (i think thats the name)

This is like an open secret. And shame on them for letting him get to the presidency!

All the damage he is doing, will take years to correct.

And hes a man of god like im the tooth fairy.

Leslie, I am not of the same opinion of Pence or Trump when it comes to abortion. I am a retired RN, and I have seen spontaneous abortion as well as the complications from botched abortions. I have seen women heartsick due to losing a baby, and those that could care less, not even asking the sex of the baby. it's how I have come to my opinion on abortion.

In regards to Trump telling lies. I find his lies are as a rule due to him being ill-informed on a subject he should not have tackled talking about. It seems his ego gets the best of him.

What is he hiding? My common sense tells me nothing... There are some of the top attornies are working with Mueller, the FBI, the CIA, and the DOJ not to mention the Internal Revenue that are or have investigated Trump. So far he has not been charged with any form of crime. Not sure why you feel he has committed a crime? IF he is charged with a crime, and found guilty, I will be the first to say I was wrong. Until then I will stick with the facts. I don't buy into innuendos.

Trump legally is not required to show his tax results. Tax results are private. H did say he would show them when the audit was done. However, he is again being audited. He claimed that he has been audited every year for many years. I imagine he said this because he knew he would not have to show them this year because he would once again be audited.

LOL I am pro-life. 325,000 babies were aborted last year. Tells me women can't even make the decision to use birth control? Yeah, they need the right to make decisions about their own bodies... I am a strong woman, a woman that would not have gotten pregnant unless I wanted too... The only way I would approve of an abortion is due to mothers health, rape or incest. Birth Control works well, no murder involved.

      Whe did i insult him?

But i will insult his pov.

And you are the queen of deflection!

Trump lied about the trump tower meeting, lied about knowing Putin, and lied about releasing his taxes. I think these all tie into his working with Russia to committ voter fraud and steal our election.

You have not answered why you believe his lies, and switch to "he's doing a good job." Well, i dont think he is, and stealing kids to make money off them is vile.

We have laws that protect people coming here to escape violence and abuse. My family came here for that!

Trump is locking them up, asking questions later.

And maybe you should read some first hand accounts of these profit detention centers....its horrific and cruel.

There is no excuse for treating human beings this way. I dont care what the rationale.

And no one is deflecting. You are refusing to answer my questions.

      Bob

      "You say

There is nothing Trump can do about impeachment as the article states “Impeachment itself is specifically carved out of the presidential pardon power within the Constitution, so if Trump were impeached, he’d have no counter to that action.”

      B:

Why would president Trump be impeached, he has not committed any crimes. Do you think he has committed a crime at all, and especially one that meets the high crimes mentioned in the impeachment?

You realize that Mueller isn't even trying for the Russian Trump Collusion now.

What is the basis of even mentioning impeaching president Trump?

      --------------------------------

Regarding if Trump can have Mueller fired the article has a lengthy flowchart. If someone in the chain of command agrees to fire Mueller the article states “Either they’d have to throw out the regulations binding the firing of Mueller or they’d have to establish cause for firing him.

      B:

You are wrong, president Trump can fire anyone in the executive branch, and he doesn't need cause. He is letting Mueller continue because Mueller hasn't found anything to hurt president Trump.

Bob, I think you are taking this whole democrat sore losing because he trounced Hillary Clinton to personal. A real American would have permitted the president to serve out his four years and then use the constitutional method of taking out a president, by voting.

In the meantime, the democrats and their resistance to the president are taking the country down trying to divide it like they did in 1860, and again in 1964. What have the democrats done for the American people or America, Nothing good. The democrats are not even focused on America or Americans they are worried about illegal aliens, and even give sanctuary to illegal aliens after they have been convicted of committing felonies in the US.

      -------------------------------

If either of those things is done, Mueller is fired. But the former would be exceptional and, given the bounds of the possible causes for firing special counsel — “misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause, including violation of Departmental policies” — it’s unlikely that a viable case for firing Mueller could be made in good faith at this point. If a cause can’t be found by Rosenstein, it’s hard to see how he could continue in that position.”

      B:

      What does that even mean?

      ----------------------------------

Trump thinks he can reshape America into following his idol, Putin’s Russia.

      B:

Bob, what is the basis for this statement? President Trump has not relaxed any of the sanctions against Russia. He has kept Russia from helping Iran get more entrenched in Syria. And he has helped Israel by not letting them attack Iran because of their presence in Syria, which is too close for the comfort of Israel.

      ---------------------------------------------

      B:

In my several comments I have gone over your entire article. Now, you can remain silent which won't change my comments. You can deleted my comments, but that won't change my comments. Or you can respond to my comments and tell me where I went wrong in your article.

I have done here, what I hope that people would do when reading my articles.

      :)

Trump thinks he can fire anyone that disagrees with his desires, as Putin does.

Leslie, "It’s already too late for 2,500 kids who are damaged for life from the abuse they suffered here in the land of the free."

Once again yo deflect. Do you realize when you can't defend at any given point, you blindly move on to another subject? This is a symptom of being completely brainwashed. You should stop and realize that if you can't defend something you believe to be true, it may not be true. Not based on fact.

It is clear you can be sold a "bill of goods". These children you speak of were dragged across a very rural stifling terrain, and then their parents instead of presenting themselves at a border broke our laws by entering illegally.

I spend my winters in Mexico, and I can personally tell you many children live without electricity or running water. The shelters they are housed in here, are to some heaven. You seem to be able to forgive a parent for endangering their children exposing them to the trip, yet you condemn your own government for separating these children at the border? It has been discovered some of these children were props to get an adult across the border, perhaps even headed for the sex trade. They are having to perform DNA test to make sure these kids are not handed over to traffickers.

This situation is much more serious than you are realizing. You are jumping onto a bandwagon that actually is promoting some children falling through the cracks, and headed for a life of abuse. Th problem is complicated and much worse than a child being separated from a parent.

In regards to Kavanaugh? Yet another deflect. Not willing to discuss his appointment. He has an exemplary reputation, as well as education. I am in no position to insult this man, just because I can... I respect his experience as well as his education. Plus, I am a conservative that hopes to see the Constitution kept to the letter.

Heres what his new pick says:

"I believe it vital that the President be able to focus on his never-ending tasks with as few distractions as possible," Kavanaugh wrote.

To that end he wrote that "it would be appropriate for Congress" to pass a law that would defer any personal civil suits against presidents, along with also deferring "criminal investigations and prosecutions of Presidents," while they are in office.

Kavanaugh also suggested that Congress exempt a sitting president from being questioned by either criminal prosecutors or defense attorneys while in office."

      Pretty clear, no?

Funny, he came to this conclusion after his participation in going after Bill Clinton.

But Clinton was hounded for lying about an affair.....Trump's already done that.

We are talking treason, here. And the Right Wing is willing to let him get away with it.

      You say

"In addition to pardoning people, Trump also has been talking about firing Special Counsel Mueller.

      B:

Bob, this is not an issue.

      ---------------------------------------

Regarding pardoning himself, the article states “Brian Kalt, professor of law at Michigan State University, makes a number of other arguments worth assessing. His point in short? A self-pardon would certainly have to be evaluated by the Supreme Court, and there’s not much reason to think that it would be upheld.”"

      B:

No one knows what the Supreme Court will decide as they have no precedents to base their decision.

Sorry Bob, I am afraid I am with Brad on this one. It is too biased and not supported. If you want to write an opinion book, that is fine, but in articles, you need to build some credibility with credible sources...but I would think that even your title could be considered slanderous. Yes, admittedly I am on the opposite end of the political spectrum from you, but am not here to attack you...I just think you may have taken a wrong turn somewhere. No, I think we would see how Putin owns him. Trump needed money. Vlad and his mob friends delivered.

And are you saying that Putin helped a trump win and Obama did nothing about it? Or are you saying Obama knew and he wanted Trump to win? Or are you one who thinks Hillary colluded with Vlad to help Trump win, so she could frame him later?

Again, Obama was in a precarious position. if McConnell had agreed to let us know, it would have been done. Why don’t you blame him?

Do you remember McCarthy? “There are 2 people I think Putin pays....Trump and Rorbacher”

      And Paul Ryan said shhhhhhhhhhhhhh

You will have to come to terms with it. 70% of us have. And, Trump cheated on his wives, and paid hush money to 2 mistresses....so far.

This alone got a man impeached not so long ago.

And they said Clinton would win, because she did. That is something else you will have to come to terms with.

When Obama took office, there was protest. The 30% who now support Dump.

If you cannot see the rest of the country is horrified by this man, you are WILLFULLY blind.

We do not want fascism here. End of story, PERIOD.

And that trump tower meeting? Are you saying it was about discussing Russian adoption, as trump claimed, or getting dirt on Hillary from the Russian gvt, as the spy claimed?

      Can’t both be true.

Leslie, "And c’mon....No way his taxes are under audit this long. He’s lying. As is Sanders. Jane still doing them? Lol!"

So you feel that If the IRS found Trump broke any tax laws, they would not charge him? And you feel Mueller would not indite him if he had any proof that Trump broke any form of tax laws? Not sure how you can buy into that? Could you elaborate as to why he would not be charged? Actually, he has never been charged with breaking tax laws?

There is proof Obama Knew of the Russian interference all the way back to 2014, as well as the fact it increased in our last election. he did nothing about it. I have added a link I hope you will check it out. Obama clearly lies about the Russians activity during the last election. This should set you on the path to facts about what Obama knew in2016...

In regards to the meeting, Trup Jr had with the Russian woman. he had it in his office at Trump Tower. Trump tower has cameras everywhere... He certainly was not making any attempt to hide the meeting. He has not been indited, he has completely cooperated with Mueller. I have trust that Mueller is doing his job, he would indite Trump Jr. If he broke any form of law. That's a fact.

In regards to Putin, do I need to pull up all the old youtubes of Obama kissing Putin's ring? Youtube is a wonderful research tool. You should use it before making claims. Trump campaigned on the fact that e thought it a better idea to have an open relationship with Putin. Not sure I even care about his first meeting. I will give it some time before opening my mouth on if Trump will be able to work with Putin to improve some real-world problems. Problems Obama dumped on him. You seem to believe anything that the news reports? Not a good idea. Remember they said Clinton would win... Look for common sense facts. There is plenty of them out there. If comes can be very disappointing.

      You say

"Trump doesn’t know anything about the limits of the presidency, so he is openly pondering tactics that have no chance of succeeding."

      B:

Where are the facts Bob? What is your point here? What tactics?

      ---------------

The article “In tweet storm, Trump decries ‘illegal leaks’ and asserts ‘all agree’ he has complete power to pardon” portrays an unhinged Trump as it states “A defiant President Trump unleashed a flurry of nearly a dozen tweets Saturday morning, asserting that he has the “complete power to pardon” aides, family members and possibly even himself — an apparent response to the special counsel’s widening Russia probe — and decrying “illegal leaks” in the “FAKE NEWS.”

      B:

Where are your facts that proves Trump's statements are not accurate? The powers of the president have not been tested, and when they are tested they go back to Marbury vs Madison in the 1800s to research the powers.

You deny that there were illegal leaks to the media, seriously!

      ----------------------------

The president also lashed out at a new Washington Post report of previously undisclosed alleged contacts between Attorney General Jeff Sessions — at the time a U.S. senator and senior adviser to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign — and a Russian official. In a tweet, Trump called the disclosures an illegal new “intelligence leak,” part of his continuing effort to try to shift the public focus to what he claims is a partisan attempt to undermine his presidency.”"

      B:

It is time for the democrats, Mueller and the Media to indict through a grand jury instead of trying people in the press. The difference is that a criminal indictment requires facts and evidence, while trial by press doesn't require anything.

What is the crime that Mueller is trying to investigate here, do you know? I don't know what Crime?

PHILIP EWING: No, that's not quite correct. The Obama administration had a great deal of internal debate in real time in 2016 about how to respond - whether they should do so publicly or privately. Ultimately, President Obama did so privately with the Russian president Vladimir Putin. He took him aside at an international summit and said, please stop interfering in our election - to no effect.

And the Obama administration also tried to ask leaders in Congress of both parties to sign a statement condemning these foreign efforts. The Democratic leaders agreed to do so. The Republican speaker, Paul Ryan, apparently thought that he could get there, but the majority leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, did not agree to do that. And so, ultimately, there was no public statement until October of 2016, by which time, with the view of history, it may have been too late to do anything about it.

MARTIN: Did the Obama administration take any steps other than jawboning?

EWING: Ultimately, President Obama's administration did take some action against the Russians. So in December of 2016 and January of 2017, there were some punitive measures the United States imposed. The Russian "diplomats," quote-unquote, were ejected from the United States. Their facilities in the United States were closed that they used to spy from New York and Maryland. And there were economic measures that the United States has taken, both under Obama and Trump, in retaliation for this election interference.

The view from critics on the outside was that it might have done more. There might have been cyberattacks - for example, the United States could have launched against the Russians to give back the Russians a taste of their own medicine. Ultimately, the Obama administration decided not to do that because the United States itself is so vulnerable to cyberattacks. And if you get into a cycle of escalation with the Russians, in this view, the United States is going to be the loser there because of how many more vulnerabilities we have as compared with how many they have.

      *********

Leslie, Not sure you are understanding the new evidence. The evidence that Nunes warned the Obama administration in May of 2014 there was of a notable increase in Russian election interference. With the stated goal of “spreading distrust towards candidates and the political system, and in general. election meddling. It was special counsel Robert Mueller that announced this fact in his indictment against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities for interfering in the 2016 presidential contest.

Mueller's indictment, Feb 16, 2018. Stated; "The attempt to interfere with the 2016 election began in May 2014 with the stated goal of “spreading distrust towards candidates and the political system in general.” Nunes was beneficial by offering his evidence directly to Mueller, which aided in bringing indictments against the 13 Russians involved.

After the inditement, Nunes released a statement - " Although the Obama Administration failed to act on the Committee’s warnings, it’s gratifying to see that Russian agents involved in these operations have now been identified and indicted,"

You need to do a bit more research before calling this man a liar. Apparently, Mueller respected Nunes knowledge on the Russian interference. Is it just too bad Obumer did not listen and do something to stop the problem? O, forgot, he was just a do nothing kind of guy...

"Trump Jr. swore he would testify under oath, which since he said it meant it was least likely thing to occur.

      B:

Who did Trump Jr swear he would testify under oath?

There is no significance of the word "swear" as mentioned here.

      ----------------------------------

      B:

Manafort still hasn't been connected with Trump Russia. Manafort's legal problems started and ended before he joined the Trump campaign. Manafort was dealing with the Ukraine, not Russia.

      -----------------------------

Last week, Trump Jr. told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he would testify under oath about his recently revealed 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians, where he attempted to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.”

      B:

Things change, and it isn't lying to change your plans after committing to something. This is not the same as lying, is it? No it isn't, because people that don't or can't change their minds a rigid, and don't adapt.

      --------------------------------

Trump Jr. knew he wouldn’t testify in an open session when he lied to Hannity. The Trumps lie as frequently as they can in order that they can keep in practice.

      B:

Now you are going from the specific to the general with zero facts. This was an emotional non factual statement on your part. How do you know for a fact what someone is thinking

Why do you want him to stop now? Hillary was under investigation for 6 years, Bill for 8.

Do you think Trump is somehow special? Like a god or a king?

      1. The Russian lady spy who used sex to gain access has just been arrested. You can’t say NRA didn’t funnel money for Russia. You don’t know.

"And I do believe taking money from a foreign gvt violates our election laws." Once again there is no evidence that connects president Trump to taking any money from anyone illegally.

"Remember, Trump got 30 mil from the NRA, who were up to their honeypots in Russia-land." This is downright "silly"...

The NRA did spend money campaigning for Trump. Nothing illegal there... It is well known the NRA supports Republican candidates, and have for many tears. All legal.

"The sanctions bill passed the Senate by a 97-2 vote because our intelligence community has overwhelming evidence that Russia interfered with our 2016 presidential election to help Trump."

      B:

I don't see any FACTS, and you said some things about facts.

      What intelligence agency?

What evidence, and what makes it overwhelming?

      Russia?

      Are we talking Russians?

      Are we talking Russian Government?

If Russian Government then who are these people? and what did they do?

And how did it interfere with our election?

Did they actually interfere which implies they were successful?

or did they try which implies that they weren't successful?

      And how was Trump involved?

I am asking these questions because of your previous comment,

      -------------------------------

"It is useless debating someone who doesn't deal with facts. There aren't "alternative facts". There are only facts."

      B:

You said there are only facts, yet there are no facts here at all.

      Could you clarify this difference?

      ----------------------------

"This is horrible. Trump wants to brainwash his followers and wants to consolidate his power, because that is what autocrats, such as Putin, would do."

      B:

      What fact is horrible?

Where is the fact that justifies the "brainwash"?

What power is Trump wanting to consolidate?

What is the autocrat connection with Putin?

      Would Do? For what purpose?

Again, I think my comments are justified to address your statement on FACTS!

      Thanks:)

      This Devin Nunes?

      https://goo.gl/images/hZQVz4

      He always looks paranoid.

And he lied about Page being the subject of a FISA warrant, to denigrate the Mueller probe.

And I do believe taking money from a foreign gvt violates our election laws.

      Stay tuned.

The Russian Mata Hari is caught. Let’s see how much she talks.

Remember, Trump got 30 mil from the NRA, who were up to their honeypots in Russia-land.

If they funneled 30 mil of Russian money to Dump, that’s one.

Two is the meeting at Dump Tower, with his kid and a Russian spy. Dump came up with the cover story lie for that meeting.

      Three, Wikileaks

      Four, “Russia, if you’re listening”

I’d say he’s swimming in collusion facts. Swimming with sharks, too.

Unless you think Putin is a sweet guy? In which case, watch the documentary The Rise of Vladimir Putin.

Trump is giving him aide and comfort. There’s a word for that.

If I am so wrong why can't you point out where I went wrong in my comments. Your universal blow away response is pathetic.

Where are your fact, and even evidence is not a fact until it has been adjudicated. But you don't even have any facts.

      -------------

Is this supposed to be an example of your facts?

"Trump is lying about the meeting his son and son-in-law, Kushner and campaign manager, Manafort had with Russians.

We understand Trump and we immediately knew that Trump would disseminate as many different versions of the meeting as he thought he needed to. The July 17, 2017 article “The ever-changing story about Trump Jr.'s meeting -- what we know” states “New revelations about Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting last summer with a Russian lawyer are continuing to surface a week after the revelation rocketed the President's eldest son to the center of allegations of collusion with Russia…."

That was a year ago, where is the indictment? Where is the evidence? And that is why there is no indictment!

      ----------------

And you are correct about -

"It is useless debating someone who doesn't deal with facts. There aren't "alternative facts". There are only facts."

With the one difference, you are talking about yourself! :)

Bob, can you present any facts that support "Trump Conspired With the Russians to Violate US Election Law"? If so perhaps you should tell Mueller what facts you have come up with... Do you really think Mueller would not indite Trump if he found he broke "any laws"?All you deal with is "alternative facts". And that's a fact... I will wait for your evidence. I more suspect you will deflect to some other flaky subject that you have no way of backing up with facts. I deal in facts and don't appreciate your glib statement. I don't have to insult you, your words speak loudly, and anyone that reads them can see you have not included any form of facts, only innuendo. Oh, and if you want to quote a fact in regards to Russian interference - Quote Nunes, he reported Russian meddling to the Obama administration way back in 2014...

No, the investigation is not over. So why the title? No one has interfered with the Mueller investigation. Yes, there are several other investigations, but these pertain to once again Hillary's emails, and the possibility of the Obama administration interfering in the election. And it would be just as ridiculous to presume we know what the outcome of those investigations will be. Just an opinion, but if I were Trump I would not be involved in any respect with any of the investigations unless charged with a crime.

The very title of this article is based on a false conception."Trump Conspired With the Russians to Violate US Election Law". As of yet, President Trump has been charged with nothing. Is it fair to continue down this path condemning the president without any form of evidence that he has committed a crime? Some are buying into pure hysteria. Mueller is investigating Russias interference in our election. He has found several Russian culprits and quickly indited them. He found Paul Manafort committed financial crimes and Flynn committed perjury and he quickly indited them. One can be assured if Mueller finds our president committed any form of a crime he will quickly indite him. So far, no cigar... So, maybe one should not hold their breath.

Bob, Perhaps you misunderstood my statement - My statement is very clear. "As of July 20, 2018, President Trump has not been charged with any form of crime. He has accomplished more than most presidents in a very short time. Accomplishments that are factual"

I in no way denied that Russia interfered in our election using hacking as their preferred method. It has been well established that they did. Your article implies president Trump conspired with Russia to interfere with the election by colluding with Russia. Which there is as of yet any proof of.

Your comment reflects you did not comprehend my statement. "I can't believe people who say there is no proof that Russia conspired with trump to violate US election law."

Can you produce any proof of your claim that president Trump conspired with Russia? Please don't bother with any of the examples you used in your article, because it's all innuendo. Your entire article is built on In your own words --- "This is obviously; He may have; He thinks he can; will never know; There is no way; My guess is; This is obviously".

Your opinion has been developed by excepting pure innuendo as proof. Sorry, but it shows in your very choice of words. It is also apparent if you're unhappy with someone else's reply you simply take it out of context.

It is hard to comprehend how anyone could put together such a large block of innuendos. Even harder to realize some have so little common sense to buy into this kind of unsourced information? Much of what you have offered in this article is based on actual facts? You might want to consider your sources have no sources that one can put a face or name. Should you not consider facts before condemning our president?

Like Sanxuary, you provide the same dearth of evidence, facts, and evidence.

After two years there is barely a connection to the Russians, and zero connection to Trump.

You are suggesting that the US go back to the end of WWII and recreate the cold war, and tensions between Russia and the US. Why would anyone want to do that today?

President Trump has done nothing to interfere with the investigation much less try to stop it. He should because it is just a democrat created story to make it look less like Hillary lost a fixed for her election. She has called on more than 50 excuses why it wasn't her fault.

She and the DNC paid for the creation of a Russian information dossier, that all the intelligence agencies used to say that Trump Russia tried to influence the election. Yet, even the dossier says it doesn't think that its content are true. And most of it has been shown to be false.

It was a $9million opposition paper that tried to influence the election in her favor by using the Russian Supplied fake information.

Is it possible that you were wrong, and that the only Russian influence on the election was the Hillary Clinton Conspiracy Theory she created with the alleged DNC email hacking, and her paying the Russians to get dirt on Donald Trump. That $9 million Russian Dossier yielded zero evidence.

You wrote this in July, and now it is almost March, and way more than a year after the election.

No fruit found, and not even a scent of fruit coming from this investigation.

Trump was spied on for a year, and all the way into his presidency, if there was anything, the FBI would have had it. But they have nothing. And how credible is the FBI and the other US intelligence agencies? They failed us on 911, and they failed us about the WMD in Iraq, and they failed us with the several domestic terrorists attacks.

      There latest failure was Parkland.

Hillary and the Democrats colluded with the Russians on the Steele Report. These continuing now fruit investigations on Trump are trying to influence not only the results of the 2016 election, but the 2018 election as well.

The democrats won't win because they are not the party of the American People or the Legal immigrants, they are the party of the Illegal Aliens. They have done nothing beneficial for the country or the people. They are obsessed with getting new voters through DACA, and Terrorist infested ME refugees.

      Why should anyone vote Democrat?

I am catching on to some new stuff that might make this story even more interesting. Nothing positive yet but consider this. Russia hacks e-mails, contacts Trump election team and uses the Info to attempt to rig the election in his favor. Trump claims it did not effect the outcome of the election. Next possible investigation and where it might go. The information was passed on again to the Republican election committee. The information was weaponized and used in several state elections based on those hacks and it did matter a great deal. The Russians would have never had any idea how to use it this way. Now do the research and find out what members were in charge of that committee. You just might discover they are the same people attempting to discredit Muller, attempting to restart Hillary investigations, crying about a dossier that Muller cares little about and even ran to the White House to tell them what the House investigation discovered. This whole thing might get a lot bigger then anyone can imagine. Its all speculation at this point but this is where the news seems to be heading.
