Unemployment, now you see it now you don’t?

Updated on February 2, 2012

The following is an actual conversation secretly taped between Barrack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden regarding how to get the unemployment numbers down before the election!

Joe, we gotta do something about unemployment. Presently it’s still around 9% and with that many people out of work we’ll never get re-elected. Well actually Barrack, it’s worse than that, the real number of people out of work is closer to 16%.

16%, then why my Vice Presidential friend are we reporting 9%? Well Barrack there’s a difference in the unemployment rate and the actual number of people out of work percentage. I uuhhhhh don’t understand Joe; explain to me what you mean.

Well Barrack its simple the number of people out of work is much larger on a percentage basis than the percentage of people unemployed. But uuuuhhhhhh wait a minute Joe, aren’t unemployed and out of work the same thing; if so how can the percentages be so different? Damitt Joe, if you are out of work then you are unemployed!

Barrack, it’s actually quite simple, our people have figured out a way not to count all the people who are out of work as unemployed. Uuuuuuuuhhh Joe now you’ve really confused me if you are out of work then you’re unemployed; it’s plain and simple; how are we not counting them. Well Barrack we’ve reconfigured the statistics in a way that we only count those that are actually looking for work. Thus of all the millions out of work only 56% of them are looking for work.

Joe, how in the hell did you arrive at the figure of 56% when we were dealing with 9% and 16%? Barrack are you sure you are the supposed smart one here; after all you did say you visited all 57 states on the campaign trail and now you can’t follow the logic here. Careful Joe, I hired you I can very well fire you. Sorry Barrack; I momentarily forgot my place!

Again, Joe, how did you arrive at the56% figure? Well barrack the 16% figure represents all the people that are actually out of work and the 9% figure represents all the people actually looking for a job. So if you divide the 9% by the 16% then you arrive at the figure of 56%; 56% of all the people out of work are still looking for a job; 44% of those people have given up!

Brilliant Joe, so our people have revamped the statistics so they don’t count those millions of people so discouraged they have given up looking for work. Now you’ve got it Barrack! Someone not looking for work, we don’t count him! They are still just as unemployed as those we count but we’ve managed to hide 44% of the unemployed!

Barrack, can you imagine how angry and frightened people would be if they realized 16% of all Americans are unemployed. We couldn’t blame Bush enough to calm them down; even with all our media allies constantly repeating out talking points.

So you see Barrack, there’s two ways to reduce unemployment; actually create and environment in which business both large and small actually hire people so the number of people out of work naturally goes down or you figure out a way not to count them all. Well you know very well Barrack our policies actually hinder employment forcing all the companies that can overseas and those that can’t to simply hold off hiring hoping we’ll get voted out.

So why Joe are we continuing to enact policies that hinder employment; because Barrack you promised Mr. Soros if he paid to get you elected you would follow his lead. Also you told Reverend Wright you had to throw him under the bus for the sake of political expediency but you would make it up to him and make him proud of you as you went about following his Black Liberation Theology Principles. And finally Barrack you promised Bill Ayres way back when you began you political career in his living room you would take the Weathermen’s Agenda and accelerate it well beyond anything he and his wife Bernadette Doran ever imagined! That my friend is why we will continue to rig the numbers instead of actually fixing the problem and helping America.

Thanks Joe, sometimes without my teleprompter I just go blank. If they ever found out how inept I am whew weeee would they be mad. Also thanks Joe for playing the stooge and taking the heat off me!

Frog Prince - I have no doubt that both you and Partisan will continue to keep us all on our toes. It is the great benefit of the Internet now that one or two small voices can propel and be heard. I say keep up the good work.

Hi Partisan - I am glad to see in my absence that you have not let the ball drop. This hub reminds me of the scam of getting change from the cashier until she was so confused the recipient ends up with much more cash than he/she starts with. I hope you do get some r and r amongst all of your scenerios. I am truly concerned for you though - if Obama does not get re-elected, what are you going to write about? Just having some fun with you -down here in Siesta Key visiting my son and future daughter-in-law - hope all is well my friend.

I thought I might share some facts with the audience.

"The unemployment rate fell, but so did the number of people participating in the workforce. If those people were factored in, the unemployment rate would be 11 percent. In fact, people 55 years and older and people just entering the workforce are having a ridiculously hard time finding jobs."

      Well DUH!

Chris - Man you know smoke and mirrors when you see it. This is an election year and you know how much fraud Obama is capable of. It's the Chicago way.

Get this,Limbaugh was just talking and said that according the the Bureau of Labor in Dec of 2011 there was 132.9 million people employed in the USA, in Jan of 2012 there were 130.4 million people employed....a minus 2.5 million and somehow, the unemployement rate DROPPED to 8.3%.....

Now, someone explain to me HOW it can drop when we have 2.5 million fewer people working than the previous month.

      just wondering...

All that I know is that the recovery never happened. $1 trillion tax dollars gone, and unemployment is still way too high. Both parties need to get together and start announcing the number of people that are not working. Who cares if they are filing for unemployment or not. The government knows who is paying taxes (employed) and who is not (unemployed).

Actually the Congressional Budget Office in a report just issued the other day states that the "real unemployment rate" is 10%. I think that may even be a bit too low. The BLS is smoke and mirroring the stats and has been for years.

      Good to see you PP.

Wait until next month when they revise the bogus numbers back up when no one's looking; it's the same old shell game they play every month!

Didn't you hear the numbers are down and now Obama will be touting his great accomplishment. Tell that to all the people still without jobs. This administration as well as others just loves to twist the facts, distort the truth and spew stats that don't mean a thing. Up, Up,Up...

Unfortunately the latter of you comments is true; those that have been removed from the stats have voluntarily removed themselves because they have found a gravy train and this Regime is hell bent on moving more of the people onto the gravy train. He's not known as the Food Stamp President for nothing!

      Thanks Sheri

The smear campaign is indeed coming however our side has been doing a pretty good job of smearing each other these days. Barackie Boo may just have to sit back and wait for us to finish each other off; like his predicessor Nikida Krushchev said; "he will bury us without firing a shot!"

This was a great read my friend. I have long been puzzled by the statements about people who have just quit looking for work. Does that mean they have just decided to kick back and wait for starvation to end it for them? Or does that mean they have found a steady income that doesn't require working anymore? Not many I know would opt to just starve to death.

LOVE it. They are getting desperate in Barry land and the desperate will try anything with which they can get away! Can't wait til they ramp up the MSM smear machine to high gear to help their messiah win re-election!
