Welcome To Obamaville

Updated on October 16, 2012

Coming To Your Area Soon

Shorts In A Wad?

The Santorum campaign released a video concerning Obamaville. It seems to have gotten the left's panties in a twist and wrapped up around their throats. But in reality Obamaville has existed for a while now. The original settlement was established in Colorado Springs back around December of 2009 and is a tent city inhabited by the homeless in the area. Nothing new really as they seem to have sprung up across the nation since Obama has proceeded to make a bad economic situation even worse than it was. Been to that gas pump lately? Prices here just rose 12 cents over night and there is still no end in sight.

Well, it does seem odd that the left would get up in arms about someone making a video to point out the obvious. Four more years of Obama and this nation will have Obamavilles all over it and they won't be tent cities, they will be towns and small communities laid to waste. Remember that Obama just told his buddy, the Russian President, that once he is reelected that he will have "flexibility." He didn't think that open mic was open but there it was for all the world to hear. Since Obama has been intent on trampling the US Constitution since he assumed office, I'm not sure how much more flexibility he wants. So lets watch the video that has the left all agitated.

Harsh Reality?

The truth of the matter to me is that Obama was "One Bad Ass Mistake America." While there are those who voted for him who have repented and seen the light, there are still those who daily kneel at the altar and light their votive candles and pray for the "hope and change" he promised them.

There was just an article released about the all powerful EPA effectivley outlawing new power plants fueled by coal. Now I hope you realize just how much electricity is supplied to this nation (that's us, the consumer) by coal fired plants. Here's the link so you can read it for yourselves. Welcome to Obamaville which just may be coming to your town or city soon.

I don't often listen to what Obama says but am usually more intent on what he does. That is good advice to follow as we approach November of 2012. Lets go back and take a look at what Obama said will happen if his energy policies are brought to fruition. He wanted his Cap & Tax bill passed so badly that he could taste the CO2 in his mouth. When Congress, his Democratically controlled Congress, wasn't having any of it he proceeded to do the end around run. This might be one case where what we heard is what we are getting or about to get. Welcome to Obamaville.

"Obama: My Plan Makes Electricity Rates Skyrocket"

Are you ready for your electricity rates to skyrocket just as the price of gasoline is skyrocketing? How much more can your budget afford? Or is your household like the federal government which hasn't operated with a budget for over three years now? Attribute that to the Democratic Party's control of the US Senate. Harry Reid isn't hearing any such nonsense. According to him they don't need a budget.

Remember Cap & Trade? We now know it affectionately as Cap & Tax. It didn't go anywhere which is what King Obama desired. So he effectively instituted the policy via the EPA. That's a fact which the left doesn't like to face. In case after case, Obama has circumvented the will of the United States Congress because he knows better. His stated goal has been to make fuel prices rise and make electricity rates skyrocket so that his whimsical "green initiative" can be rammed down our throats, just as his signature piece of legislation called Obamacare was forced upon this nation.

Coming To Your Location Soon

We don't need to give Obama any more "flexibility" than he already seized like no other President I have ever seen, and I've seen a few. This is what happens when you elect an inexperienced, unqualified community organizer to be the chief executive of the most powerful nation on earth. He does seem rather intent on insuring that our nation doesn't maintain its position in the world. Of course his money man and puppet master, George Soros, has also publicly stated that he wants to take The United States of America down a notch. Down to what? A nation of Obamavilles?

It's now time for those of you who haven't connected the dots to pick up the pencil. I often, at first anyway, contended that Obama doesn't know what he is doing. But I now realize that Obama knows exactly what he is doing and it isn't a pretty picture. He gives just enough lip service to sound convincing but his actions always speak much louder than his empty words. . We don't need high energy prices. We don't want skyrocketing electricity rates so that some whimsical windmill/solar energy agenda can be exercised. The technology isn't there and the federal government can't make that happen, nor can Barak Hussein Obama. He's like Don Quixote jousting with a windmill, only at the tax payer's expense. The whole premise has cost us billions upon billions of our dollars wasted on his version of crony capitalism.

How many Obamaville's will we end up with four more years of Obama? But just remember what he told our "friends" the Russians. My intreptation of what he told his counterpart was to relax and after his reelection he would be able to run amok even more than he has already been allowed to do so. Yep, he was caught on tape one more time. Before he was elected he had no record. Now there is plenty to gauge his failure by.

This article is just another vetting this President which the Lame Stream Media failed to do during the last presidential election cycle. All the glossing over the media wants to do can't relieve the misery that will follow if Obama is reelected. Welcome to Obamaville? I don't think so.

As Always,

The Frog Prince

Remember In November

Great Hub as usual Frog. Obama is so ideologically fixated, he can't see when policies are failing and make adjustments. Nobody is perfect, and the people expect leaders to make mistakes, admit them, and correct them. While rooting action in ideology is important so a leader has a moral compass, the ideology has to be sound, and the action has to be as pragmatic as the law permits. Maintaining an unbending committment to failed policies is psychotic. This is why we no longer have any strategic allies (except the UK, which is a weak ally due to economic crisis), soaring debt, soaring energy prices, and no respect for the law by the federal government. Nothing Obama does is rooted in law or common sense. He's just a selfish, arrogant, foolish dictator.

nicomp - I don't happen to listen to Rush Limbaugh myself. I read some of the things he writes and don't always agree with him on everything. I learned to think for myself long ago.

@The Frog Prince: Liberalism is based on feel-good concepts. It doesn't stand up to reason and discussion. There's nothing to talk about except class warfare and moral relativism. That's why Air America crashed and burned while Rush Limbaugh flourishes.

Now, the Left will tell us that Rush Limbaugh flourishes because we conservatives are delusional lemmings who can't think for ourselves. They probably said the same thing to George Washington and John Adams and Thomas Paine and John Hancock.

nicomp - Isn't it amazing how a liberal can spin something and actually believe the lie that emerges? I pretty much ignore some things because no matter how many FACTS we give them they remain blind.

... except when it doesn't. Cap and Trade creates an artificial market for pollution credits. A company can purchase 'permission' to pollute from another company that isn't polluting quite as much that day. That hardly protects this little blue marble we call home. Politically sanctioned polluting has the same impact as freelance polluting.

Parks - Join the 'ABO' movement. You can say coal is nasty stuff but the fact is that it is the main source of supply for the electricity needs of this nation. The "more" part is for sure and throwing tax payer money at the problem is not the answer.

Well you know me top Frog... I'm from the show me state, and to date... I have not been shown a viable candidate comr forward to un-seat Obama.

As to his intent? as well as your argument.. You and I have very little to argue. As far as Obamaville. Any small town Oregon, is most likely presently an Obamaville. But, I can't lay the cause and effect of a Timber, Agg based economy at the feet of a puppet that has held high office for a three years. The economic down-trend of the U.S. economy has much deeper roots than that. As to coal? Nasty stuff! I worked on the largest coal fired plant project in the Western United States.300 cars per day...Sustainable/ Hell no! but then again... It will take America a generation or more to convert to a viable replacement..

Peace. And thank you for the well writen presentation.

You know that sign, Jim, you display up above that reads: "Welcome to Obamaville. America's fastest growing communities."

I glanced at it and thought it said: "America's fastest growing communists." And I though, wow, it's already happned!

It was disconcerting to watch Obama whisper to the Russian president saying things will change once he is re-elected. Russia has not been a friend of the US and they are selling supplies to Iran to make nuclear weapons. Rated up.

Thank you for your unique insights in exposing our dangerously misguided commander and chief, or as you mentioned, he may not be misguided at all, maybe he's trying to run this economy over a cliff as an excuse to sieze control of what's left of our damaged private sector!

When a liberal uses the word "flexibility", usually it involves violating the rule of law and the Constitution! I see his green initiatives as a "Trojan Horse", designed to expand government and intrude ever farther into the private sector! Personally I don't really believe he cares that much about the envirnoment, to him and many liberals, its just a ticket to more power and control!

NotPC - One rather glaring error that you state as fact - GM has repaid the money. Here's a link.

The rest of what you said I'll ignore because you are watching too much MSNBC obviously. Please do some research before you jump into a discussion and have to wipe the egg off of your face. GM still owes the US tax payer. We still own 25% of the company.

I will continue to vet Obama because the media failed to do its job the last time around. As far as looking at all sides, or both sides, of an issue I can assure you that I do. I read a lot.

My stepson tried to tell me just the other night how great Obama is. Of course, he has been affected by the years of unemployment that he has suffered since Obama was elected. He got laid off two months after Obama was elected. He blamed Bush. The company he worked for said that they couldn't keep people on with no hope that things would change soon. It had just changed and not for the better. Good hub.

      Rock on, Frog Prince.

Yes, Obama has failed all the tests. Err...if he had been given any tests he would've failed them. He's never really had to take the tests; the silver spoon was handed to him on a silver platter. The silver bullet of common sense is still around, though; I wish enough people would've exercised it before he ever even stepped foot on the White House lawn.

Emissions trading has existed for some time, even during the time of President Bush. Cap and trade aims simply at protecting the planet that supports our existence. The resistance by many people to make changes, nation and global, that are environmentally friendly is disturbing. Without a healthy living planet with a healthy supply of drinking water and oxygen there are no humans. An environmental movement of some kind must be the ground work for any changes we as a country make either globally or nationally. Unless of course the lives of our decedents, which the right fights so hard for in anti-abortion debates, in the future are not as important as economic prosperity for the few in the present. Although I do not agree with your article, I did find it very interesting and well written. I do not necessarily think that Obama is the best president we've ever had. He's made his share of mistakes and made empty promises of hope and change that are attractive to the masses. I would however say that for the November election he's one of the better candidates. I'm sure many people heard his promise for change and expected that the economy would instantly turn around, that social conflicts between the right and the left would be resolved. That America would become the legendary utopia it is often imagined to be with streets of gold. However, that is not the way life works and that is not the way the world works. Turning around the economy takes time. President Obama was faced with some of the greatest challenges and opposition facing any American President in history. This recession is bad, there is no sugar coating that. Obama is the President we as a people chose to help fix it. Progress has occurred. GM is making money and has paid back their loans. They have opened factories. The unemployment rate is shrinking, at a snails pass but that's change none the less. When making a choice for the President of our country we as a people must make an informed well researched decision. In 2008, people were charmed by Obama winning him the vote when he may or may not have deserved it based on his performance as President and your position on the left right spectrum. The most charming candidate does not always mean the best candidate. As election time draws nearer we may see that the republican nominee is equally charming as President Obama, that does not in anyway mean that he will be a good or bad president. It means, simply, that he is charming and is capable of inspiring audiences with bold and vague promises. The only way to know that you are selecting the best candidate possible is to research and do just as you said look at his body of work not his words.

I think you should dig a little deeper into Obama, as well as the other candidates, and look at both sides of the issues and of his actions not some invisible party bias that poorly defines a human being and their political and social ideas.
