Introduction

Life is full of threats and dangers and disasters large and small. When it comes to the greatest threat, there are a few possibilities facing our nation. Let me explore them and expose the underlying issues.

- July 2019

Two Types of Threats...

There are two types of threats facing us. One is natural occurring and we have little control over them. We can only try to be prepared when it does happen. These includes major earthquakes, Volcanos, Hurricanes, tsunami, and asteroid strikes.

The other threats are manmade or partly human induced. These are the problems that we can address to some degree. Once we identify them, it is good to prioritize them so we can address them in some logical and reasonable fashion.

Some Candidates...Top 10

  • National Debt
  • Climate Change *
  • Nuclear war
  • Civil war
  • Terrorism
  • Alien Invasion
  • Epidemic or Pandemic diseases
  • Over Population
  • AI or Singularity
  • One World Order

* This is the only one on the list that is perhaps controversial. It is unclear whether this is manmade, naturally occurring or a combination of both.

National Debt

Our National Debt is over $22 trillion.

Diseases that have no cure...

I could comment on each of the listed concerns, but my post would be too lengthy.

I voted for national debt because if we are not fiscally responsible as a nation, how can other countries even respect us? Lack of trust contributes to nearly every other problem on the list.

      Enough said.
