When It Comes to Elections and Today's Democratic Party, Not One Race Should Be Close, Not for the Reasons They Are...

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez | Source

Accept Election Results, Move On....

Okay I accept it, I am moving on, but first a few thoughts about this past election.

For the record, though disappointed with the results, you’ll not find me out in the street, sobbing, crying out, cussing the system or throwing things through windows.

You will not find me in anyone’s face, simply because they think differently than I do, and you’ll not find me harassing those same people, as they go about their daily business; having dinner, taking in a show, relaxing in their home, whatever their daily routines may involve.

You will find me, questioning:

  • Questioning why someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez now has a seat, a vote....in the United States Congress, when all she has touted, since the beginning, throughout her campaign, has been socialistic dribble and ideology.
  • When it comes to America, our history, our formula...she comes off as clueless, as they come.
  • She has no interest in following our U.S. Constitution or the guidelines required of her, contained therein.

She and all like her, are agenda-driven, they are not lovers of the U.S. Constitution, how could they be, they do not even understand it or why it exists!

  • Questioning why a man like Keith Ellison, was voted to such a high post, Attorney General for the State of Minnesota, when there is evidence of his many shortcomings. There isn’t just hearsay of abuse, which has been debunked, {such as was the case with Justice Brett Kavanaugh} as we now learn lies were, unapologetically, used against him, more than once

All in an effort to destroy Kavanaugh, get rid of him, with no regard for him, his family, their future. We’ve only continued to hear that "if the Dems this" and "if the Dems that"....they will seek to impeach Kavanaugh, nonetheless, without cause, without reason!

But....someone like Keith Ellison is praised and promoted, elevated to a position of power, a place of prominence, with hard evidence of abuse looming all around him, that is not going away.

Oh, it wasn't so blatant?

Why was it close between Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke, in the State of Texas?

All that Ted Cruz has ever done, consistently done, since seeking and winning office, has been to Represent his Constituents, honor the U.S. Constitution and follow the guidelines, required of him, contained therein.

We, as a Nation, have watched him stand up to the establishment time and time again, in an effort to look out for the People and the People’s best interest, even when he had to stand alone, against his own Party.

And YET, it was a close race!

He was neck and neck throughout, with a man that apparently believes himself to be above the law. A man, Beto O’Rourke that sought to bribe the good people of Texas with goodies, in exchange for their vote. Some just thought he was the better looking of the two and he had their vote.

Oh it wasn't quite this blatant?

Regardless, he gave Senator Cruz a run for his money.

It should not have been so close in my State of Florida or in my neighboring State of Georgia.

Individuals, not the least bit shy about their progressive ways, their Socialist agendas, did very well here, in the South.

A man, Andrew Gillum in Florida, a woman, Stacey Abrams in Georgia, seeking to turn America into a Venezuela, one goody at a time, one State at a time, did very well in the election.

Oh, it wasn't quite this blatant?

Both of these races were neck and neck the entire time!

Knowing we would get Nancy Pelosi back as Speaker of the House and knowing we’d get ignorant, encourager-of-disruption in the streets Maxine Waters over the House Finance committee, the people spoke and gave it to them, by giving the Dems the majority in the House of Representatives.

These divisive women have been granted more power, which they've shown us, they'll use for all of the wrong reasons.

Can we Keep this Republic?

I cannot get excited about my State of Florida, keeping it Red, not when it was as close as it was, knowing the next time, we'll not be as lucky.

Not when there are multitudes of those uneducated about the U.S. Constitution; why we have it, why it exists, why they shouldn't want it any other way!

How do we get out the word that it exists to protect them from individuals seeking power, seeking to conquer and divide, seeking to Rule over them.

It exists for our benefit and for the benefit of our children and their children, as it has since its inception, with the birth of the United States of America.

I am one lone voice, I alone, cannot convince this Nation that we have strayed too far.

I cannot convince young voters that when they vote for gifts and things, they do themselves great harm. When they vote for Socialists, they are voting to become a Cuba, a Venezuela.

They may laugh at me now, but when they are crying later, it will be much too late for them!

How do we help them to see?

How do we reach them, when all they are being taught about the U.S. Constitution, is that it is antiquated and that our Founders were just old men and they are dead now, so why should they listen to what they had to say way back then?

  • Because their words were genius!
  • Because they studied History and knew what would become of us, if we did not restrict our Government!
  • Because they entered into it, seeking God's guidance, with intense study, deep thought, debate, dialogue and prayer!

How do we convince them that allowing unchecked, large masses of people to continually enter into this Country, will affect us, will change us, will end us!

It will make us far from being able to use the word, United anywhere, in our name.

It was not allowed initially when immigrants entered in through Ellis Island, why should it be allowed today?

I had to look to China for a picture of Young Kim
I had to look to China for a picture of Young Kim | Source

Our Future...Course

Have you heard the name Young Kim? She is the first Korean-American woman, voted to the House of Representatives.

She will be Representing California's District 39.

You haven't heard the name?

You aren't familiar with this story?

Because she is Republican.

You have heard about all of the WINS of openly-gay Dems, of Muslim Dems and of Socialists posing as Dems, by design, by the so-called Press.

We've acquired an agenda-driven media, while we've lost the Press!

Yes the Press is granted Rights via the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but an agenda-driven force, a wayward media, calling themselves the Press, is not!

The behavior of one, Jim Acosta, yesterday in the presence of the President of the United States of America, was despicable...let me instead go with "deplorable", that has such a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

He does not represent himself or his News Organization as a qualified, unbiased Journalist/Reporter.

He is as leftist and agenda-driven as they come!

He and so many others, just like him, products of Liberal Academia, are now calling themselves, The Press.

Do they deserve the Rights granted them, via the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, when they've strayed so far, losing their way?

Do we amend the First Amendment.....

or do we start concerning ourselves a little more with educating future politicians to be Constitution abiders, Journalists to be objective and....Voters to be informed, in an effort to salvage the future of this Country and getting it back on course?

We've now gone from close Races to Dems attempting to steal the Election...

Since the writing of this article, Broward County and Palm Beach County, FL have come back to haunt us.

You remember those Counties?

Recounts, hanging chads, dimples....um hum!

Although George W. Bush won the State in 2000, the Dems refused to accept it and that is when the non-ending recounts began and the nightmare went on and on and on....until George W. Bush was declared the winner.....again!

Now, do-nothing, ancient, pompous Bill Nelson (D) is refusing to accept defeat (I'm surprised he found some energy)

Voila.....that's where Broward County and the corrupt Supervisor of Elections, Brenda Snipes comes in!

Attorneys are now involved!

~~~
Gosh, I hope they nip this in the bud, long before we ever have to hear about dimples and chads again!
      I'd describe you as pragmatic and trusting, one who believes that common sense should be utilized, not tossed aside like a holey pair of socks.
      I also believe that I've just described the majority of Americans, including me, but there is not a doubt in my mind that there is a dangerous, undermining entity working against us, at every turn, especially in our elections.
      I know, right. Forget about being flaky, I'm just naive enough to trust someone to collect my vote. Or at least, I'm assuming that they "collected" the Republican votes, too. Because if they didn't collect them too, then I really honest to God don't understand how they didn't count.
      Whew! If you can't explain it, then maybe I'm not being as flaky as I felt! I was over here scratching my head wondering what the hell I missed. But I'll pass on asking the valley girl what's what. Maybe they should all just go the poll and vote. You know, with an ID and legal and fair and.....ugh.
      You'd be asking me to explain Jerry Brown, California, the left coast lefties...to somehow explain AB 1921 (No relation, I swear!)
      I'd have to refer you to Lulu...you know "like it's a new service for like people who are supporting the Democratic party", so you tell me, how a 'collected' Republican vote could be eliminated.
      Okay, so at the risk of sounding totally stupid here...Can you please explain this ballot harvesting thing to me? At first, I thought that they are voting in place of absentee voters but then as I read more, that's not what is going on. I get that they're speaking with people who are independent or undecided and collecting their votes somehow, but how is that eliminating the votes of that girl's Republican parents?
      I mentioned Young Kim in this article, a Republican, the first Korean-America woman to win a seat in the House of Representatives. I mentioned that she would represent California's District 39.
      She DID....but she didn't.... and the games that Democrats play, the way they cheat, should have ALL Americans appalled and outraged!
      .....and I would love for Leftist Sanx or for any other leftie, to feel free to tell me just how wrong I am!
      The Dems have just taken control of the House of Representatives and all we’ve heard since that day, is about the multiple investigations that will be occurring. The impeachment word is being thrown around, but no mention of us, those they are elected to Represent, only of their mission to get even.
      Most of us know that Dems have nothing to offer us, so why would they ever mention us. They don’t care about us or our best interest, this Nation’s best interest.
      They do not recognize the fact, that they work for us.
      Their agenda is all about taking this Nation the complete opposite direction of where Trump is taking us. You know, where Obama was taking us ....away from prosperity.
      But, first they must get Trump out of their way.
      Leftist Sanx, lefties?
      Any thoughts I had in the beginning of all of this ugliness just being sour grapes (over Hillary’s loss)...are long gone now, it is so much worse, there is so much more going on.
      Ronnie Wrench Biscuit Has not been active here for several months. He wasn't tossed out so it was obviously his decision to stop writing or just walk away from HP. Sanxuary has been around for quite a long time. I do not believe he's a second persona of a current hubber. He's a lone kook. Just a drive-by drifter with too much idle time on his hands and no brains to do something creative or productive. So he/she wanders around aimlessly, attempting to share his ignorance and unwelcome messages with random people who happen to be his/her intellectual superiors.
      Like I said, I will not address him. He chooses to be invisible and as far as I'm concerned, he IS.
      Don't you think Sanx is (or was) a member but under a different name.
      Why else would he/she/it care about commenting on HP articles?
      At first I thought it was Leslie, but even Sanx doesn't appear to be that psychotic...but maybe a close second?
      I swear I would never have believed how deranged liberals like Sanx and the vocal ones here on HP are had I not joined Hub Pages 8 years ago. I have seen through this time they have gotten worse as far as their connection to reality goes but they still use the same old, age old, transparent tactics like false premises, straw men, disqualify the messenger of facts by demeaning them, labeling them anything to judge them unworthy of attention, "troll," "racist," "homophobe," "sexist," "mean-spirited," "insensitive," intolerant," you name it. All labels which easily can be demonstrated to be characteristicsC's most often displayed by liberals, talk about down the rabbit hole, they live there!
      The problem with intruders like Sanxuary (& we have a few too many trolls like him/her) is that they are not HP members, they hide behind anonymity, they enjoy being masked terrorists, no name, no location. We don't know if they're male or female or even if they're in fact, Americans. They enjoy the privilege of commenting without the mature responsibility of being a member of a large group that shares ideas and opinions in productive ways. This clearly tells us what a pathetic individual he/she is. I never respond at all to him/her or like vermin. In maintaining my own site, I will immediately delete any comment from a destructive troll. I keep my threads clear of litter & debris.
      When you don't own your opinions, ideas and beliefs, you do not deserve any sort of acknowledgement nor publicity.Period.
      They obviously don't possess the intelligence or literacy to write articles, and fear being part of our diverse community, due to having zero social skills. It's apparent they have no friends or allies to interact with, so they must seek out online groups, on which to spew their garbage. This is pretty sad but not our problem. It's theirs and theirs alone.
      Haha. If I was worried about you laughing at my expense I wouldn't have shared. In fact, one time I fell while wearing a skirt like I was sliding into home base because I didn't want to drop and break something in my hand when I tripped on a raised part of the sidewalk. After I came to a stop I sat there with my shoulders hunched laughing so hard it looked like I was crying. Laughing so hard there was no sound. My friend was also laughing until she saw my shoulders shaking. She suddenly stopped and asked, "Are you okay? Because if you aren't, I need to stop laughing." It was her comment that makes me remember that incident to this day. It was nearly 18 years ago!
      The only clean semi-joke I have at the moment related to your hub is the meme that I posted on election day. Now that all the election commercials are over we can finally find out who burned down Cheryl's she shed. And that was merely chuckle-worthy. The funniest thing to happen to me today was when I went sliding on mud in the parking lot when I took the trash out. Felt like ice under the feet. The only thing that saved me from a fall on my ass was slamming my hand down flat on the hood of my car. That almost didn't work. Then I hear my husband say "there's mud there" just as casually as can be.
      Those are pretty funny....I especially like "Fun, politically correct people." Egads, what dull, boring tight-ass individuals.
      Women shouldn't date ANY penniless man, young or old. If you doubt me, just ask any woman who did that. They may have time to respond in between going to and from one of their 3 jobs. Hmmmm, that "life insurance" thing is a bit scary, T. Men beware: If she married you for your Insurance, that SHE purchased, I strongly suggest you hire a body guard!! Ahhhh, but this is another topic for another dumb article. We could have such fun with it!
      Angie honey....I think you could write one of those "Shortest Books in the World," Women Who Have Successfully Deducted 20 Years From Their Real Age. Good luck with that, girlfriend. I'm a realist and my body reminds me.....:)
      Paula, the only reason women date older men is -Money- or it's equivalent like security, life insurance, inheritance, etc.
      What I'd like to see is the article "Why Women Date Penniless Older Men" but I suspect it's filed with the other "Shortest Books In The World" like These prime examples:
      Italian War Heroes
      German Humor
      Polish Culture
      Mexican Sanitation
      Canadian Confidence
      English Cuisine
      Belgian Relevance
      Blacks I have met while yachting
      Ponzi Schemes Not by Jews
      French Heroes
      Swiss Menschen
      Fun Politically Correct People
      Practicing Responsible Sexuality for African Americans
      Rational Democrats
      Compassionate Republicans
      Catching Jumbo Shrimp
      A History of Military Intelligence
      Hope that made you smile.
      The only way the Democratic Party can go forward from here is by continuing to cheat their way there.
      We are seeing their shady operation on full display right now.
      Are Broward and Palm Beach Counties the only two Counties that take such liberties with their responsibilities?
      Very doubtful!
      How long has this been going on?
      How many other Supervisors of Elections are this careless with ballots in their possession?
      Is it carelessness or is it something else completely?
      You have the Party of Lincoln, the Party Of The People confused with your precious criminal Democratic Party.
      Yours is the Party attempting to steal elections throughout the land, yours is the Party thinking they are above the law, yours is the Party that believes illegals have Rights and pre-born American babies do not!
      Yours is the Party that has embraced Socialism, meaning they want to keep the people under their thumb, totally dependent on them!
      Your Party has forgotten that OUR Government, the Government Of the United States Of America exists to Serve the people, not the other way around!
      Your Party has abandoned the U.S. Constitution, only referring to it when it SUITS them, such as invoking the 25th Amendment, because President Trump stands in the way of their destructive, diabolical agendas.
      Your Party is lost!
      This is the begining of the end for the Republican Party and Donald Trump. Only a fool could believe that lies will triumph over the truth. That the law would be ignored when criminals break them. That God would bless those who close their eyes to evil. Its only getting started but the real patriots and true Americans who believe in what we stand for and are principals will stop at nothing to bring our nation back to human decency. The problem in our nation has always been those who hate and hide from the truth of who they really are and claim to be decent on the foundation of racismn and priviledge. There mistake was to believe that the majority of this country would embrace their hate and support an idea that does nothing to improve their lives.
      I am not familiar with what happened, just assumed people early voted and then he died. I guess if that’s not the case and the Supervisor of Elections screwed up, then a redo would be in order.
      There was another election where people early voted for a guy that dropped out at the last minute. Their vote was already cast, too bad for them.
      I am not a fan of early voting or of mail in ballots, too much room for error, but I understand the need for shut-ins and the military to have it.
      No doubt T, the left is predictable, if nothing else. While I am questioning and having a hard time accepting the close races from sea to shining sea, the Dems are up to their old tricks.....not accepting the results, calling for recounts, hiring attorneys....there is some fishy business going on here in the Sunshine State and it sure ain’t the Republicans involved in it.
      Maybe that's why I am still here AB! One hubber called me an enigma!
      While I am not sure that is good or bad it certainly is better than being called a troll which inevitably occurrs as soon as I challenge any liberal's opinion.
      The liberals here are so predictable it's pathetic. They use the same old tactics over and over. Take for example Peoplepower. He, as always, picks controversial topics and starts with stating a false premise as the basis of his discussion. He just posted a forum topic using the recent mass murder as a case for banning guns. But he starts with a false premise:
      "I have been on many forum websites and argued with the anti-gun control people. Their main argument is that statistics show more people are murdered by other means than guns every year. They ask, "Should we ban those items as well?" They go to ad absurdum to include, but are not limited to trains, planes, cars and even knifes, and forks."
      As always PP states a false premise, thus raising a straw man which he uses to argue against anti gun control positions.
      Anti-gun control people always use the 2nd amendment as their main argument and only the 2nd amendment as their main argument and the false premise PP presents is simply used to point out the insincerity of gun controlaholics who claim they’re only concerned about the death of innocent people and it proves that is not their passion. But this is never even an argument against gun control let alone the main argument.
      This kind of manipulation of a discussion is diabolical and sick and when it is repeated all the time there is something seriously wrong with the cognitive or mental state of such a person.
      Of course PP is top on the list of liberals who have reported me but HP must agree with me because I'm still here!
      Actually the fact they made "most likely to be banned" a category for awards is a great big in your face to people like PP with whom I'm sure they get very annoyed by their frivolous complaints.
      I don't know why they'd ever ban you T, you keep things interesting around here.
      Now there are some lefties that I believe have earned this award tenfold, but doubtful they are even eligible.
      Too this. Too that. I've recently decided to stop trying to figure out whether or not I am too this or too that. No such thing, except maybe for too much political correctness in this society. ;) But it sucks when the lashing out comes from someone you thought was a buddy.
      Hahaha.....OK, T.
      Well Shannon you are right, AB doesn’t cut it as most likely to get banned.....VOTE FOR ME!
      Based on how many people have threatened to report me I’ve probably won already! Those should count as votes, right?
      Au contraire mon ami....I was accused of being too nice and....of participating in "hateful rhetoric" all in one day. The one who accused me (of hate) came at me from out of nowhere and blindsided me. I thought he was one of my buddies here.
      I've also had complaints registered against me...for being too Conservative, I suppose.
      But thank you for your kind words Shannon.
      Hi Leland, I agree with you 100%, our founding documents are irreplaceable and invaluable and I too believe that Rush is a national treasure.
      As for this article... thank you for the compliment. I am glad that you like it, but I think I may be in the running for the aforementioned award.
      No Shannon I was not aware of the 'most likely to be banned' award, but I think I might have to fight T for it. LOL!
      Lol, that’s hillarious! So whoever wins that doesn’t get banned but wins a swanky limited edition water bottle with the HubPages logo, as well as an official HubPages ringer. These highly coveted items will be worth millions on eBay someday. If a Hubber wins more than one category, he or she will receive a water bottle for each category won!
      I’m all in, please vote me most likely to get banned! I don’t even care if they ban me as long as I get the prizes!
      Number 8 on the category list:
      https://blog.hubpages.com/2018/10/28/vote-for-your...
      What kind of an award is that? LOL It's like a most likely to fail award. But I figure someone who often talks about politics or religion, maybe both will win this one simply because those are two topics in which some people lose their heads.
      The link isn't working. Or more than likely, YouTube isn't connecting with my network properly because videos I've watched many times over aren't working right now either.
      I have listened to Rush for more than 20 years, before which I was totally a political and very cynical of any politics left or right, I didn’t even know the difference or for that matter that there was a difference!
      Now after having experienced Rush first hand for that long, almost daily, I can honestly say that there is no one on air anywhere more politically informed and intellectually correct about his assessments of all things concerned with politics and liberal or conservative ideologies. Anyone who ridicules him or speaks of him in any sort of derogatory sense is nothing but a dishonest uninformed imbecile who has no idea of what truth is or for that matter reality.
      I will listen to the link. I rarely listen to political commentary because people tend to get so bent out of shape about discussions. I hate to say ignorance is bliss because that doesn't really apply here. It's not the facts I shun, it's the division. I've never been one to actively discuss my political opinions or controversial issues and opinions with many people for that reason. And I've never considered myself either liberal or conservative. Independent rather than Republican or Democrat. But I do agree with you about losing too many conservatives. When did fighting for rights and liberty turn into accept EVERYTHING as the new norm and if you don't then be prepared for verbal and physical assault?
      Speaking of which, did you see that HP has an award for "Most LIkely to be Banned" this year?
      I heard a saying once, "People deserve those that govern them." I think there's some truth in it. The reason people elect reps that don't love the Constitution is because the people don't love the Constitution. It, The Declaration of Independence, and The Gettysburg Address are 3 of the most important single documents of the modern world, and I can tell you that from my personal study of those documents I have indeed come to love them. Professor Rufus Fears of the University of Oklahoma (deceased since 2012) gave a brilliant lecture on the meaning of the Gettysburg Address and why it is considered a second founding document of our republic. These documents are so rich in depth and meaning that it would take much of a lifetime to really grasp, not only what they say, but what they mean. For example, most people don't know that the word "slave" isn't even in the Constitution, or what the 3/5 clause really means. These are subjects that take time, consideration, dedication, and effort to learn and understand apart from left leaning college professors that are more interested in perpetuating their own anti-American ideas than teaching the truth. (Professor Fears was anything but one of them) It's funny how I hear people on talk radio, and on the news speak of the Constitution, but rarely if ever do I hear them quote it or explain its meaning. I think its because most of the time they don't know it themselves.
      Thanks for this article AB. It's another winner for you :)
      PS- I'm a huge Limbaugh fan. He is to modern Conservatism what Bill Buckley (a true genius) was from the 50's to the 2000's when he passed.
      Yes I knew what you meant. :)
      This is what is so concerning to me, Texas, Georgia, should have never been this close, (personally I question the closeness in every single State) but if we lose the most conservative among us, we are doomed.
      Education is key!
      We have work to do.
      Do you ever listen to Rush? If you have a chance, listen to the link shared by T.
      Thanks for sharing this T.
      Start at 22:20 on this Rush clip from today. AB, in line with your hubpage topic here he will explain how uneducated and plain stupid journalists of today are and how the education system is the cause of all the idiocy we see in election results and frankly the electorate - liberals should listen to the whole clip from the beginnig if they really want to learn something, but we know they don’t, or can’t or are so far gone down the rabbit hole of liberalism reality can not touch them.
      Thanks for commenting Shannon, I too am over it!
      We all need a break, but I had a few more things to get off my chest in order to completely move on.
      Georgia and Florida have been greatly affected by those that escape liberal States, as well. They'll settle in, take a deep breath and then for some unknown reason, bring that which has been ingrained in them, to the polls with them, voting a straight Democratic ticket, creating new liberal States. Go figure.
      I'm so over politics. Never have liked them. And I am glad the political commercials are over. But as a Texan (who admittedly doesn't know much about politics and policies in general, especially regarding specific canidates), I can say that Beto O'Rourke ran several compelling ads. I couldn't vote because I was registered to the wrong address, but I wouldn't have voted for him. That said, he talked a good game with the commercials. And he made a point to visit all of the state counties. May not sound like a big deal, but keep in mind how big Texas is and how many counties there are. He said that he's been to all the counties when Cruz has not and that's because O'Rourke said he was running to represent everyone. That is the ad I recall playing the most. Must've been effective on some level. They say this is a strong indication that Texas has turned to a purple state and will go red soon. If you want my opinion, I think it has to do with the number of people moving here from other states, such as California.
