"When they're runnin' down my Country, Hoss, they're walkin' on the fightin' side of me"

God Bless America, Land that I Love, Stand beside her and guide her, thru the night, with a Light from above...

A line from a 1969 song, written and recorded by Country Music Artist, Merle Haggard and.....oh so apropos today.

You've never heard it? Well go find it By Golly, I'll wait.....

  • I read about some squirrely guy who claims he don't believe in fightin' and wonder just how long the rest of us can count on being free, they love our milk and honey but they preach about some other way of living, when they're runnin' down my Country, Hoss, they're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.....hmm...hmm...hmm

Good, you're back, hope you found it.

However, there is one big difference!

Today, the tearin' down - runnin' down - taking down... is coming from the highest office, straight from the mouth and by the actions of... the President of the United States of America!

That in itself is disheartening, but the fact that so many *squirrely guys and gals, that are currently holding office, as our; Representatives, Senators, Governors, etc. defend his every insult, his every action, is just mind blowing to me!

Which is worse? The Offender or the Defenders?

You'd think that just one, would step up and say, Enough Mr. President, stop tearing down My Country! I don't care that we're in the same political Party, Love of this Country, takes Precedence!

I digress.....

From wealthy Ivy league college students that have fallen prey to the very people Mr. Haggard was writing songs about in the 60's, that went on to become College Professors and Politicians, and never stopped 'bashing' America, to those that have their hands out, making demands of this Country, because she never gives enough, she's always failing them and falling short of giving them all that they are so deserving of.....

.....they're runnin' down my Country!

I realize that Barack Obama will be out of office very soon, *Hallelujah and can golf to his heart's content, but waiting in the wings, a couple of Candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, some of the very people, Mr. Haggard was writing songs about in the 60's, ready to take the torch from the President and carry on the Legacy.

They may not be as blatantly tearin' down, as Barack Obama does, but any person that gets up in front of audience after audience, putting down half the Nation by telling them in *DemCode that they don't give enough, they aren't taxed enough, they're selfish and should feel ashamed of their hard work and accomplishments. Neither really giving a damn, one way or the other, but pandering nonetheless, for each other's votes, because that's how it's done

.....they're runnin' down my Country!

We must make the Right choices at the Ballot Box.

We Defend our Country, by Denying those, runnin' down Our Country, any Office which Represents the People.....Especially the White House!

Now is not the time to accept defeat, now is the time to take back this Country, because when they're runnin' down Our Country, they should be walkin' on the fightin' side of All of us!

  • Runnin' down our way of Life, our Fighting Men have Fought and Died to keep, if you don't Love it...Leave it, let this song that I'm singing be a warning. If you're runnin' down my Country, Man, you're walkin' on the fightin' side of me. hmm...hmm...hmm........

Rest in Peace, Mr. Haggard!

*Squirrely - Jumpy, Cowardly, Fidgety and Nervous

* Hallelujah - God be Praised

*DemCode - Democratic Party Lingo
