Living With Street Violents

Updated on August 19, 2014

The Streets ans Guns

Street Violence is a way of life in poor communities. In the mist of the day gun shot rings out on busy streets, endangering innocent by-standers.

A young man who had spend most of his young life on streets engaging in violent crimes talked about life on the street. What made you take to the streets I asked of him? He looked at me with a smile on his face, well I blamed my folks for being poor and on welfare.

There was never enough money get anything, most of the time I wore hand-me-downs.With no money in my pocket.

My old man tried but didn't have any book learning, the jobs he found didn't pay enough to support us so he left home, placing all the responsible on mommy.

After he left all she did was complain, when I ask her for new shoes she would flip out. I got sick of her crap, quite school and hung with the big guys on the street. I was given a gun and told to make a name for myself and I did.

I made a name for myself, I had money, clothes, jewelry, shoes and a car at 16. The gun I have gave me power and control others, I am the one they feared.. I never mean to hurt any one but when it came to me or them, I will to be the one walking out of a situation.

I turned my life around because I was tired of looking over my shoulders every minute of the day, thinking that it would be my last when I went out. I went back to school and is working on being in the military.

Violence has to exist in every nation for us to have a force of government as harsh as it might sound, there will never be a solution to gun violence's. People are the ones who need to be dealt with not the gun.

I only mentioned the grammar because this is a writing forum- dedicated to WRITING, and I thought that maybe you would want to look further into properly executing the use of your language. I was only trying to help, didn't mean to offend. I will have a nice day, that you for the well wishes, you have a nice day as well! :)

I really don't care what you think about my Grammar or English I didn't ask you to ready what I wrote. I do have an opinion and the problems deals with more than values and moral. Guns didn't come from moral or or values........have a nice day

I read your hub and I am sorry to say that your grammar and English skills are atrocious. Also, the problem with "gun violence" lies in the current lack of values and responsibility in society. No law will ever change that. We all need to start by changing ourselves. We need to stop medicating ourselves and our children, first and foremost.

Every one has a right to bear arms in their home but one of the major issues is,where are all these guns coming from? Could these guns be coming threw custom, without being checked.
