Where are Russian flags burnt?

Updated on September 23, 2011

The anti-government demonstrators in Syria burned Russian flags. Why? Ostensibly to show that they do not like Russia's position on events in Syria:

"We want Russia not to cover cover the regime of Bashar Assad - politically, militarily and economically. We want Moscow to agree to the tough UN Security Council resolution on Syria. The Syrian regime should be isolated."

They burn not only Russian flags, but also flags of China and Iran. Does the Syrian opposition dislike their position either? It is noteworthy that all the countries, whose flags are burned, are old opponents of the United States. The public desecration of the symbols of these countries seems to be an appeal to Washington and its allies: "We are for you!" and an invitation to turns Syria to a second Libya.

Are you for military operation of US troops in Syria?
