The race for the American top seat is tightening. The question in everyone’s mind is who will occupy the oval office. USA being the world’s only superpower needs a competent man who can offer right decisions on global issues especially when it comes to policies on war, Middle East and Russia. USA cannot afford to wait and see terrorist groups such as Al-Qaida and ISIS grow. It knows the threats and dangers they expose the whole world to. Being a super power means offering the right direction and taking the right action. It means applying the power and influence to protect the rights of the minorities in all corners of the globe.

The president of the United States in the Commander in Chief of the most powerful army on earth. That is in waters, land and sea. This means that the president has a very crucial role to play on world peace. The suitable candidate should express a deep understanding of global issues especially in the areas of global climate, safety and security. Let us have a look at a number of presidential aspirants.

Hillary Clinton

She is the wife of 42nd president of the United States of America, Bill Clinton. She is a democrat. She served as the 67th secretary of state under the Obama administration. She has also been a senator for 8 years.

Some of her greatest moments as the secretary of state

She played a role in the fall of Colonel Muammar Gadhafi in Libya when the Obama administration supported the rebels to overthrow Gadhafi. The global opinion on whether the decision was right or wrong vary from country to country. The fact remains that from the moment when Gadhafi was overthrown and killed in Libya, there has been no peace or stability especially in cities like Benghazi.

It is during her time as the secretary of state when the greatest threat to global peace and stability, Osama Bin Laden was killed. Osama Bin Laden was the leader of the Al-Qaida group which had planned the 9/11 attack on USA soil. This was a major victory for Americans as much resource had been used for his search.

She played a major role in the isolation of Syrian and Iran administration. In year 2011, Hilary Clinton she announced new American sanctions on Iran because of their alleged plan of manufacturing nuclear weapons which would threaten global peace and stability. She mobilized many global countries especially in Europe not to buy oil from Iran. For Syria, she supported the rebels move to overthrow the Assad’s administration.

He is the second son of the former president of United States of America, George H. W. Bush. He is also a brother to George W. Bush, the former president of America. He is a republican. He is the current governor of Florida State. He is a banker and a consultant professionally.

His planned tax plan would help American families save $2,000. On the issue of same sex, Jeb Bush has stated that he respects the decision of same sex couples making lifetime commitments to each other.

His greatest moments in political career include;

He initiated environmental improvement projects. These include conservation in Everglades

He also supported caps for non economic damages. This move ensured that patients were compensated depending on the level of impairment.

During his tenure as the governor in Florida, the credit rating agencies raised Florida bonds to Triple-A. He has also created numerous job opportunities which have spurred economic growth in Florida.

He is the current vice president of the United states of America. He is a democrat. He is the former senator for Delaware state. In 1972 he became the 6th youngest senator in the history of USA. He has also previously served as a chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The roles of this committee include addressing issues regarding crime and drugs control.

Some of the notable times in his political career include;

His effort led to creation of the violent Crime control Act in 1994. This bill has been on the records as the largest crime bill in USA. He also played a major role in the formation of Violence against Women Act also in year 1994. It is this act which established the office on Violence against Women in the Department of Justice.

During his time as the vice president, their administration has managed to managed to pass health economic reform. This plan covered the uninsured Americans and has cut health care cost growth.

They helped America recover from Economic depression. During their administration, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was passed in year 2009. At this time, the economies of many countries around the world were suffering. This act helped America recover and new job opportunities were created.

Other biggest moments of their administration include elimination of Osama Bin Laden and ending the Iraq war.

He is a Neurosurgeon from Detroit. He is a graduate of Yale University where he majored in Psychology. He then joined University of Michigan Medical School where he received his Medical degree. He joined the Republican political party on November 4th, 2014.

He supports progressive taxation. In progressive taxation, the amount of tax paid increases as the income increase meaning that the rich would pay more than the poor. He has also supported the introduction of luxury tax. This tax would be obtained from very expensive items.

On gun use control, Dr. Carson supports the second amendment on gun control so as to ensure that guns are with the right people. Dr. Carson has argued that it would be horrible if a defenseless population is attacked by tyrants who have arms

At the age of 33 years, he became the Director of Pediatric neurosurgery at John Hopkins hospital.

In 1987, He led at team of 70 members of surgical team who separated conjoined twins. Both twins survived. He received Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Bill Clinton.

He is a member of American Academy Of Achievement. This organization enable young people meet the notable members of the society. Dr. Ben Carson also has 38 honorary doctorate degrees.

Dr. Ben Carson is also an author. His articles and books have been among the best selling. His books include, America the Beautiful, Gifted hands among others.

His position on some of the most controversial issues in the society.

Dr Ben is pro life and does not support abortion. He is also against the legalization of recreational cannabis.
