Why Joe Biden's VP Pick Is Vital

Updated on June 30, 2020

Let's face it. For the 2020 presidential election, the American public have selected two old men to run America until 2024. One is 74 (Trump), the other is Biden (78). Is that the best America has to offer? For some, it is repeat of 2016, where so many disliked Hillary Clinton, they voted for the unknown, Trump.

Now, that we know how disgusting Trump really is, many of us will vote for Biden just to remove Trump. Even though, Biden provides us will valid concerns.

Joe Biden is basically a good guy with only a few bad spots. Two of these are the Tara Reade alleged sexual assault in the 90's, the other, is Biden's true mental state. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, some 38% Americans believe that Biden has some mental impairment not being disclosed for good reason. Some think its the early stage of Alzheimer's disease or dementia. The number of gaffs that he makes seem to come on a more frequent basis than before. The latest was during an MSNBC interview on the Morning Joe show, where Biden was drilled about the Tara Reade case. He was able to deflect and plead innocent of this event fairly well until a few questions were asked that would give any viewer pause for suspicion.

One question was, "Why were the records closed and sealed at the Delaware University where the Biden papers are stored, once he declared his run for presidency?". Joe was unable or unwilling to provide a valid reason. All he would insist on is that there is nothing in the files about Tara Reade. As if that was not bad enough, the next question was, "Why not just do a name search of Tara Reade in the records to see if any pertinent record pops up?" The video shows, for nearly 15 seconds, Biden verbally stumbling to find an answer. Sometimes, all that came out was gibberish. For those 15 seconds, the silence, mumbling, the look on Biden's face (one out of a fear not knowing how to answer) castes a huge cloud about Biden's veracity on the matter. The question was even repeated. Biden was dumbfounded.

Now, whether this was due to his declining mental state or just a "deer caught in the headlights" moment, where he knew if he had said that he had no problem with the search, the real truth might come out. Even the female questioner seemed disturbed by his inability to answer a simple question. All I can say is that it displayed a guilty look. If he truly was 100% innocent, that this event never happened, it would be an easy answer.

This brings us to why Biden's VP choice is so important and he knows it. Should something happen to this 78-year old man while in office, the VP would become president. Maybe Joe knows something that no one else does regarding his mental state. The VP will no doubt be a non-white woman and his best choices of who could take over, if the need arises, are:

  • Kamala Harris
  • Susan Rice
  • Condoleezza Rice

Look, as Trump said on the Fox Hannity show, Biden will be the next president (this shocked Hannity). The election may be a repeat of 1972, where, McGovern was crushed by Nixon in a landslide. People will vote for Biden, despite his failings or mental state, just to dump the Trump. But his VP pick is also as vital.
