Why Liberals and Progressives Hate America

I'm on the right side of politics and enjoy a good debate on government, the economy, and the rights of the people.

Introduction

The next Presidential election is just about a year from now, but the race for the nominations for both the Republican and Democratic Parties are in full swing. The Republican voters are evaluating a deep field of candidates that is currently being led by Donald Trump followed by Dr. Ben Carson, both of whom are political outsiders. GOP voters so far have rallied behind Mr. Trump and his no-nonsense approach to running the nation – he has pledged to do what is right for all Americans to the best of his abilities, and make real changes to Washington, based on sound business principles and not partisan politics. The “establishment” candidates have launched salvo after salvo in an attempt to knock him down, but instead he just keeps rising. The Democrats on the other hand have a very narrow field and really seem to be circling the wagons around Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders, an outspoken socialist has captured the minds of many, but his overall longevity seems to be limited.

Hillary Clinton, like current President Obama has an ultra-progressive platform with LGBT rights, Global Warming, Economic equality, and a healthy dose of government regulation as key talking points. She is pro-immigration and has openly stated that she is for a pathway to citizenship for those here illegally. She claims to hold the moral high ground on trustworthiness, yet her career has been riddled with scandals. She is an advocate of gun control and thinks that the current government should be able to put multiple limits on gun ownership. She is a big supporter of abortion. She has served as Secretary of State, but during her tenure had fiasco after fiasco and most people cannot state any major positive accomplishment she made while in office. The list goes on and on, yet she is considered the anointed one by the Democrats, the Liberal Media, and the beltway insider clan.

"Change" is "Control" in disguise

After looking at the track record and comparing her actions and words to many other like-minded Liberals and Progressives one can only describe the Democratic Party as those who hate America. Let me say that again, just so it’s clear – they HATE America. The reasons are many and the explanations they give are strange and foreign, especially when coming from people who are part of the leading nation on the planet. We live in an amazing place, one that is more than just a piece of ground in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s a vision of hope, a beacon, and a land like no other land. No other country provides the level of opportunity to advance yourself like America; yes hard work and often a few lucky breaks are necessary, but the fact remains that it can and has been done by hundreds of thousands of people. American citizens enjoy freedoms at levels no other country can compare to, including religious rights, property rights, and many others. Yet, a large percentage of the Democratic Party would disagree and counter the statement with laundry lists of why America isn’t great and what about it needs changed.

Change, the word is probably used in more speeches and commercials than any other when it comes to Liberal communications. People don’t typically want to change or call for changes unless they are unhappy with something. Calls from current President Barack Obama were for “Hope and Change,” Hillary Clinton calling for “change” in how our political system works, former President Bill Clinton in 1992, “For people, for a Change,” and their backers, The Progressive Change Campaign Committee and the Democratic Nation Committee statement, “Change that Matters” are all about making America into something different than it is now. I’m certain after reviewing some of the messages and charters of the different Democratic groups, that they are truly unhappy people who are disappointed that the nation isn’t falling lockstep in line with their beliefs, no matter how wild or outlandish. Yet, history tells us that this wasn’t always the case.

Then and Now

America was born out of rebellion, one where people who recognized they were being oppressed took up arms and fought their way to freedom. Great sacrifices were endured and many lives were lost in the battles and skirmishes that ultimately paved the way for the future citizens of this nation to draft and implement several documents that would be the cornerstones for the United States of America. The Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and later the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights were ahead of their time, each a testament to freedom on their own but together a pledge by the founders that America would be different and in doing so, its citizens would also be different, not physically or emotionally, but by being empowered and free. Change was for the positive in those early days and was agreed upon by the collective.

Today it is totally different. Common ground is very limited and the two major political parties seem to be in a state of open war all of the time. The days when educated statesmen debated issues until a common thread was reached are no longer evident. Party platforms take precedent over the good of America and the voice of “we the people” has been shouted down for the sake of agenda items. The Liberal platform with a boost from the media actively lobby to remake America based on the daily news cycle. A shooting rallies them to cry for gun control. An accident demands changes to how things are regulated. Combat deaths are blown out of proportion and tiny minorities of the population are given special treatment at the expense of the majority. Democratic leaders such as former Senate Majority leader Harry Reid made changes to the rules of the Senate to insure the Liberal agenda couldn’t be derailed and President Obama regularly overrides Congress with Executive Orders to further push their reckless and damaging agenda. The current GOP leadership in Congress plays shadow politics and makes promises to their electorate but supports the big government platform of the opposition, leaving voters questioning the process.

To fully understand these America haters we must first try to understand them, and to understand them, we must reveal who influenced them and to what means. Sometime in our history a turning point occurred when the ironclad hull of freedom was pierced and the flow of corruption started seeping in. We’ll examine the current leadership of the party, those who are stalwarts, those who support their efforts, the tactic employed and those who do the dirty work. We often hear the term “political machine” being used to describe the Democratic Party, and once we see all the different moving parts functioning seamlessly to forward their positions, it will be easy to understand.

Barack Obama

Barack Obama, the current President was raised in an anti-American environment, subject to the daily teachings of hard core communists and socialists. Bill Ayres, Weather Underground Terrorist, Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist Party leader, and even his own grandparents, both socialists were his mentors as a youth and all were strong America haters. Dr. John Drew, a well-known communist at Occidental College praised the young Obama as a Marxist and Obama further admits in his own autobiography that he had an attraction to Marxist professors. After college Obama worked for many “community organizer” groups founded by Saul Alinsky, a socialist. The current administration has multiple appointees who are communist and socialist sympathizers and work tirelessly to implement their doctrine on mainstream America. His policies have been mostly anti-American. He has gutted the military leadership and replaced the top positions with yes men. He is ignoring the immigration laws and openly allowing non-citizens refuge in our nation, thus diluting the American culture. He overspends and his regulations have damaged our economy. Unemployment has been high for too long and those on government assistance at record levels. Foreign policy amounts to bowing down to the enemy and the world opinion of America as a leader is at its lowest in many years. All of these are directly tied to his mentoring – a systematic “levelling the field” – bringing America down and other countries up – socialism veiled as leadership. Obama hates the fact that regular Americans have been and continue to be successful without government help, and he tries to make mainstream America suffer for it.

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton, the so-called next in line, has been in the spotlight since her husband was President. Her life has been plagued by scandals on a monumental level. She has been her own worst enemy from early on in life, starting with her being dismissed from the Watergate trial legal team for lies and unethical behavior. Her numerous shady financial deals, the questions surrounding the Clinton Foundation, and a large sum of taxpayer money unaccounted for once she left the State Department are still looming over her head. Currently she continues to try to dodge the Benghazi death toll, her use of a private e-mail server and the classified messages found on it, and the numerous staged campaign events she has participated in. Her husband was impeached for having an affair while serving as President and over 46, yes forty six people directly involved with the Clinton’s have died mysteriously over the last thirty years. Let’s face it, Hillary is as unhappy as a person can get. She regularly gets caught in her own webs of deceit, she is angry at her cheating husband, she doesn’t like to play by the rules, instead trying to establish her own set but getting ensnared in the fallout later, she feels Obama stole her “rightful” spot at becoming President in the 2008 election, and the list goes on and on. She is an angry, unhappy, spiteful person and America is her punching bag.

Feminists, Race Baiting, and Anti-Religion

Feminists, those women who self-relate to being champions for women’s rights, are some of the most angry and unhappy people in the world, and mostly Liberal Democrats. Feminism as an ideology doesn’t seem to have a place for happiness. It completely goes against how human women were designed to prosper, assuming that wealth, power, or status will make women happy. Feminists assume that they can do anything a man can do just as good or better. They feel they should be 100% in control of their bodies, even if they carry a baby, a product of two people and if they become pregnant and don’t want the child can have it put to a gruesome death in an abortion clinic. They self-aggrandize and tell one another that they don’t need men to make them happy, never realizing that human women were not meant to be alone or in the company of other women only. Men and women are designed to form partnerships for many reasons other than reproduction, but these women try to change reality. What we get are angry, unhappy, sometimes violent empowered women who remain unhappy and vent their frustrations on America and everyone who won’t support their jaded doctrine.

Liberals hate religion almost as much as they hate Republicans. Liberals envy the loyalty and devotion that religion inspires. They hunger greedily to have it for themselves but never are rewarded. They hate the fact that religion encourages people to be self-sufficient and care for their fellow man and women – it goes against their beliefs that government should be the provider. But most importantly they detest the fact that religion and the subsequent gods who are worshipped have the nerve to decide what is right and what is wrong. Liberals love to dive deeply into the pools of earthly pleasure, whether those practices are ethical, legal, or moral doesn’t matter to them as long as they get their moments of pleasure. Yet, these lewd behaviors only lead to worse ones, as the Liberal is like an addict that can’t be high enough or stimulated enough. The fact that America was founded by a group who valued religious freedom so much that it was written into the very fabric of our nation is unacceptable to Liberals. They hate the fact that our currency proudly says “In God We Trust,” and that churches stand tall across every city, and that to many people, the teachings of their God’s come before the nonsensical laws passed by Progressives no matter what the perceived punishment or outcome. This is one more reason for Liberals to hate America.

Liberals not only support, but encourage racial, sexual, and any other type of hate that advances their agenda. They generally have lower morals and are quite comfortable lying, cheating, stealing, and slandering to get their way. They claim to be the Party of tolerance, but in reality are only using that as a front. Just disagree with a Liberal’s opinion on something and you’ll see a level of verbal and possibly physical assault that will frighten most. The openly celebrate the failures of anyone they disagree with and brag about their victories, even the minor ones. Recall the steady stream of vitriol and boasting when Barack Obama won the presidency. Liberalism is equal to grandstanding in front of your high school friends, maybe giving a weaker kid a swirly, and putting food in an unpopular girl’s hair – it’s about attention, trying to look the part of someone hip or cool, and being surrounded by worshippers. Since Liberals hate themselves so much, it’s a constant battle to get this “love” from their peers, so nothing is taboo or off limits. The conservative group of Americans is made up of so many people with high moral fiber and good values, both men and women, rich and poor, and of all races and all are the enemy of Liberals. That is one reason why they embrace immigrants and illegal aliens so much as most of them have no moral fiber and are easily radicalized to be pawns.

Hate Groups

They take this hate and further expand it by publically pitting different groups against one another, creating class divisions, whether blacks against whites, poor against rich, women against men, or any other opposing groups. The then talk about how they are the group that will bring “equality” to America – but what they really do is cause further diversity. Nothing else makes it easier for Liberals to pass legislation in the dark hours of the night to “fix” some of these so-called problems. Many of these battles require foot soldiers on the ground, talking heads in the media, and those prone to violence to support the narrative. The race baiters like Al Sharpton and Melissa Harris-Perry are on TV every day spewing out their pathetic brand of hatred, creating imaginary racial issues daily. Hardened activists travel the nation stirring up violence at ever perceived hint of a racial incident, such as those in Ferguson and Baltimore.

It’s not by accident that these people do what they do. Promoting racial strife at every opportunity is an actual Democratic campaign strategy and there are plenty of liberals whose job is to incessantly shout "racism" to help the Democratic Party. Organized groups such as The New Black Panthers, CAIR, and La Raza are just a few groups that work incessantly to stir up race hatred. The incident in Ferguson was like a fire and the Democratic Party stoked it and added fuel almost daily. They then fundraise off of these man made events and make pledges to “fix” or “change” things but in reality just use it as a source of cash. The media gives the hate groups attention and gives them a reason to justify their existence. These radical groups are made up of losers, misfits, and degenerates who aren’t smart enough to see that they are merely pawns of the great hate machine called the Democratic Party. Middle class white America is the collective target of them all.

Control Expanded

Liberalism is deeply rooted in control as you can see by the many examples discussed. They control their own party like a drug dealer controls a junkie, by giving them a new and exciting “hate high” as often as they can. They control their attack dog groups by lending credibility to them, allowing them to self-actualize as if they really matter, and they try to control mainstream America with their policies when in political power. America is all about freedom, not control, which is the coup de gras on their hatred of this country. They root against us on the world stage, weakening our military efforts to defeat our enemies, and executing foreign policy disasters. Our strength as a nation makes them weak and they do everything they can to undermine it.

Obamacare was one of the largest government control moves in history and it wasn’t designed to help anyone. The results after one year will clearly show that people are still uninsured, state exchanges which cost ten or twenty times as much as they should of are now failing and the perceived savings have turned into triple the original costs. It wasn’t designed to help, instead designed to make sure the government had control over your records, your life expectancy, and a large part of the economy. It was a way of funneling taxpayer dollars into the hands of loyal soldiers who carried the party water for many years. Another disaster which is called Common Core is terrible, but it gives the Federal Government control over what is being taught, how it’s being taught, and the standards people will be graded upon. It allows for the selective removal of what Democrats do not like in the historical roles such as how the Confederate Flag is perceived to the abolishment of slavery and the KKK. Together these two things represent more than most can see. The government wants to own the youth, they’ll teach them in the Liberal way, take care of their health needs which includes medicating them creating the perfect morally defective soldiers for the future of the cause. College campuses are hotbeds of radicalism and fed by government funds where the indoctrination can continue under the guise of higher education.

Jobs mean financial freedom for most Americans but that freedom is truncated with high unemployment and government assistance programs. They give people just enough to live but not enough to work their way out of poverty. Government regulations which limit new investment and job creation keeps unemployment high, thus keeping government dependency high. The fear of Social Security being abolished keeps the elder generation in line and the high level of debt insures we are always going to be in a “crisis mode” from the viewpoint of regular people.

Regulations are one of the most powerful tools in the Liberal toolkit and it gets used often and with zeal. From limiting the size of a soda pop, to banning what they deem as “offensive” clothing, the type of lightbulb you can use, how much you can water your yard, or how many eggs you should eat weekly are all control tools. Mandatory vaccinations, fluoridated water, and fuel standards on automobiles are also control tools meant to divert spending into agencies run by the government, thus feeding the machine. The Obama Administration has taken it to a new level and it almost amounts to our daily lives being micromanaged to an unhealthy level.

Any group which rubs mainstream American wrong is supported to an unhealthy level by the Liberal Machine. Homosexuals are praised for coming out of the closet, transvestites are called courageous for wearing the wrong clothes, and radical kids get invited to The White House for making a mock suitcase bomb. This is all done to anger America, plain and simple. Under the false veil of universalism they left is polluting the American landscape with deviants. They are diluting the population with immigrants both legal and illegal to water down the American brand of culture. They turn a blind eye to crime and engage with foreign leaders who hate America just like they do.

The Destructive Path

Overall these Progressives hate America because of what America stands for and how they failed to live up to those ideals. They lack the willpower to stand on their own two feet. They fear freedom as they are unable to handle it, like a nineteen year old getting an NBA contract, they squander it away in no time. They cannot make peace with themselves and accept others for who they are, instead trying to put the round peg in the square hole.

Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, and many of today’s youth are embracing socialism and the principles it claims to have. They’ve been led to believe that once everyone is reduced down to “equals” and the government is taking care of all their needs that their lives will suddenly be amazing. The inadequacies and shortcomings they so loath about themselves will be masked in the mired pool of the masses. And they can do the one thing that makes them most happy – they can share their hatred and anger with everyone. The so-called ruling class is embracing the Socialist Movement so they can feel free to indulge in all of their most perverted fantasies, adultery, pedophilia, incest, bestiality, and every other immoral act they secretly desire. They claim we’ll all be equal but in reality, they’ll be rich and everyone else will be worker pawns to feed the machine. The violence will continue, the racial incidents, rapes, protests, and more if we allow the Liberal agenda to continue.

There is Still Time to Save the Country

America can be healed, but not by any of the Orwellian changes suggested by the Democrats. Real healing takes time and has to come from within. Building a border wall, stopping immigration until we get our own people in order, taking care of veterans who served this nation and insuring we have a strong military to defend our borders are some of the steps to get things back on track. Breaking the beltway insiders club away from running our government and adding term limits and lobbying restrictions would take it further. Rebuilding our economy by investing in America instead of support foreign governments who hate America and maybe just letting the rest of the world fend for themselves while we retool might be part of the grand scheme of things. The business of America must be managed by people with America’s best interests on their mind.

Well, this will certainly make half of the people who read it angry and the other half happy. It's all based on observances from the real world and the supporting facts. If you want to debate, then please share your points. No, I don't want to hear "well the Republicans....." - write your own hub with your own opinions - the topic of MY hub about why Liberals hate America. Prove me wrong if you can - show me how much Liberals love America and how their policies are good fro America if you can.....

Ralph keep in mind that Trump is talking about increasing jobs in this country, and so far that is beginning to work.

But we must also realize that jobs are not at the top of the wishlist for all citizens of this country. A planned effort to make as many as possible dependent of governments was put into action, and it worked.

Not all, but many have found they can actually live better on entitlements than they lived by working because they have no skills to sell to an employer. Thus they demand higher wages for unskilled labor.

They will fight Trump all the way when it comes to job creation.

Hopefully Trump will be able to work with big companies to provide skills training where many can move up into higher paying jobs that will take care of them for many years to come.

Trump is clearly showing successes by keeping American jobs before being sworn in, yet the Liberal crowd continues to protest, cry hacking, and beg their Democratic congress members to obstruct Trump in any way they can. Trump isn't playing politics, he's playing for America. The Democrats on the other hand are playing for themselves and their policies - spewing hatred on anyone who doesn't agree with them. It becomes easier to see over time that they could care less about America.

More proof...liberals destroying property and rioting over election results....ironclad results showing Hillary Clinton being soundly defeated by Donald Trump....the laws of succession are already in motion. Yet, liberals refuse to accept it; its as if they think the laws should be changed because they didn't get what they wanted.

Mike....This is basically the point I hoped I made. It's not just college-age. I have calmly asked several people I know, "So tell me, why are you voting for Hillary?" Whatever else they say, the primary reason is "She's a Democrat....I always vote Democrat....I've been registered Democrat for 40 yrs." If & when I take it further, it's only gets worse from there. Very few know much about her history of lies & other criminal-like activities...then if we get to the "e-mail controversy or Benghazi"..I can feel the top of my head begin to blow. I do not know what your experiences have been in conversations with Dems (who do not & will not allow anyone to call them "liberals.") but mine has been that they absolutely flat out refuse to believe she's guilty of a thing. She's an Angel and a victim of "conspiracies." There's really not much more I could say at that point...and I wouldn't anyway.

All I know is that I hear this a lot, over and over. I think this is why I feel so hopeless and believe she is going to be our next President. Who can beat her Mike? Not Cruz, that's for sure & I'm not so sure about Trump. The voters haven't had decades of being exposed to and loyal to an individual like Trump. I hope I'm wrong and my fears are unfounded. Paula

We can only hope that people in other countries are not seeing our man-in-the-street intervies where college kids are asked tough questions, such as "Who is the Vice President" and they can't answer.

When I watch these on TV I am actually embarrassed for the college student who is this "low information". If I were a parent seeing my child on TV who can't answer simple questions like this I would be jerking them out of school so they could work in the fast food industry. Paying college tuition for them would be a huge waste of money.

    You got something to say

If you're livin', if you're breathin'

    You got something to say

And you know if your heart is beatin'

    You got something to say

And no one can say it like you do

God is love and love speaks through

You got it, you got it

    You got something to say

I appreciate your thoughts Paula and I really am thinking about what you've just said. It could be an interesting research project to follow up on. I think that the media has been very influential in polarizing our citizens into camps despite those citizens themselves being only partially in agreement with the overall party message.

RJ.....I missed this hub completely. But I'm here now and as expected, I have a little something to say. Please don't think it "off-topic." It really can't be off-topic because reading your interesting hub brought my thoughts to the forefront.

I don't believe I'm unique in realizing we have a huge problem with "low-information" voters. Far too many Americans are ignorant of facts, know nothing about politics, much less are they informed on our politicians or which direction we're being TAKEN in. Am I wrong here, Ralph?

What became so clear to me over the past 8 years in talking with people (from all walks of life) and more importantly listening to them & keeping up with as much as possible, (considering our faulty/biased media) is this: So many self-proclaimed Democrats, in fact, are Conservatives BUT DON'T EVEN KNOW IT. Let me explain. These people are so convinced they must refer to themselves as D's and need to be loyal to this party no matter what, that they don't stand back long enough nor INFORMED enough to accept the fact that whatever they call themselves, they think, speak & believe as Conservatives! Do you know this type of individual & what I'm referring to?

I've mentioned before that the vast majority of my family & circle of close friends hold firmly to being DEMOCRATS. That they believe in everything I believe in baffles the hell out of me. Bottom line.....this tells me clearly, LOUDLY, they know absolutely nothing about what EITHER party actually stands for and represents. They merely accept that what is ...is what IS. That we have no power, no control and thus...no need to KNOW what's really happening.

I don't argue much with people I love. It's just not worth it to me for the rifts it causes. I want to shake them. Instead I send LOTS of articles via email....LOL.

I have a point Ralph..honestly. These particular individuals are far from unusual or of the minority. Voters go to the polls without a good handle on "what is going on in Gov't REAL LIFE." Again, I use the term low-information voters.

I can almost understand the attitude. So often I want to be "ignorant" because the truth, the facts & the hard core facts of reality simply frighten the hell out of sane, mature adult Americans.

The truth of your hub is that lack of education, awareness & backward thinking has so much to do with "blind-following." and they take it all to the polls.

Tony always pounds on me & insults me that I'm OFF TOPIC....but I have something to say & I don't feel I'm off topic at all. If I wasn't so independent & confident, he could really hurt me. Paula

Kathleen, I'm sorry that my opinion isn't to your liking and I do appreciate your concern for my health by suggesting I get out more -it's so refreshing to be subtly reminded that I must be spending too much time trapped inside writing hubs. I've heard of many great people on both sides, however the current situation lends to most being on the R side. When Socialism, limitations on freedom of speech, and multiple attempts to circumnavigate the Constitution are part of the D platform, I'm left with no other conclusion other than they don't like America. I'll debate it all day with you provided you can bring evidence to support your counterclaim to mine. Looking forward to hearing your response. Thanks for reading and commenting.

This is an awesome hub and I completely agree with your argument of why liberals and progressives hate America. Just looking at and hearing the liberal and progressive protestors at Donald Trump's political rallies, really angers me and bears out everything you have said. I'll never forget how they shut down Trump's rally in Chicago in March which the liberal media supported one hundred percent. I am sharing this with HP followers and on Facebook,

What I've experienced in the forums over the last few days has been clear evidence that Liberals are not interested in getting America to a better place, instead demanding more government control, more "services" and more division. I've seen many open minded Republicans get attacked and name called at epic levels by these haters. It's sad and shameful.

Progressivism, socialism, fascism and communism, all draw from the same poisoned collectivist well. Interesting James. There will always be those with more ability, beauty, speed, brains, etc., than others. Even in a litter of puppies or flock of chickens some are just better than others.

But as you point even though this is just nature at work and someday that will be against the law.

I read once where if we were able to gather all the money in the world and distribute it equally, in six months or less some would be rich, some would be poor, and some would fall in the middle. I believe that to be true.

I must have missed you hub but will find it and read it.

To quote my own Hub "Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut": "Vonnegut writes of a future world in which anyone that has better than average intelligence, physical beauty, or athletic ability is handicapped to create an artificial equality. This satisfies the populace and their Crab Mentality—best described as "If I can't have it then neither should you." Vonnegut begins Harrison Bergeron this way: "The year was 2081, and everybody was finally equal. They weren't only equal before God and the law. They were equal in every which way. Nobody was smarter than anybody else. Nobody was better looking than anybody else. Nobody was quicker or stronger than anybody else. All this equality was due to the 211th, 212th, and 213th Amendments to the Constitution, and to the unceasing vigilance of agents of the United States Handicapper General." In order to achieve social equality—long the goal of progressive idealists—people who are above average looking must wear masks; the more beautiful they are, the more hideous the mask. People who can run faster, jump higher, have quicker reflexes, or have stronger muscles are encumbered by weights—different weights for different people adjusted to make them all equal in physical capabilities. People who are more intelligent than others must wear headphones that generate distracting noises to prevent them from keeping their thoughts together.

With our current trend of giving trophies to even the losing teams, we are creating another generation of progressives. The main thrust of the progressives seems to be based on everyone being exactly equal with no thought of the effort required to be better. They hate anyone who has more "stuff" than they do, or a better job because of their lack of skills or education. The progressive movement is strictly based on taking with little or no ambition to improve their own position in life.

Awesome, great information, an accurate description of progressiveness in America! Obama and Hillary are just like modern day mobsters who prey not just on individuals but on America itself.

Those who follow progressivism are either deluded or corrupted themselves. The whole idea is opposite to what America stands for.

It takes this long for people to act because some will refuse to believe it is happening until tragedy strikes.

If you watched any TV this morning you saw where we are not going to change a thing in the way we deal with terrorists. We are also going to open our doors to refugees which in itself is somewhat of a threat to our security.

As much as we wish this problem would just go away it won't until we do something to stop it, and most of us know that.

James Watkins is correct of course.

Most of America's immigrants, legal or otherwise, are coming here to escape the 'culture' of their backward and corrupt third world countries. But to fully enjoy the unique opportunities and benefits America has to offer, an immigrate has to abandon old loyalties and ways in order to assimilate and become an American first. If they don't want to be Americans first, then they should not come here.

The notion that we can operate smoothly and efficiently as a nation with people jabbering in several different languages is nonsense! If immigrants refuse to learn to communicate in English (the international language of business), then they will fail to prosper and they will also drag the rest of us down with their permanent state of dependency.

We, as a nation, have the right and yes, the duty, to protect our borders and determine who we want as immigrants and who we do not want. What we are currently getting is the uneducated, unskilled, ever-dependent class who are far more burden than asset.

wrench bisquit~ As far as your comment directed at me goes, I did not say the things you accuse me of, as you know, which makes you a liar. In your original comment you wrote that multiculturalism---an evil product of Cultural Marxism only meant to destroy the greatest civilization in world history---"teaches their people to be proud of who they are, and to embrace their true history, culture, and heritage. They also teach the hypocrisy of Americans celebrating "heroes", and "founding fathers" who raped, murdered, and dispossessed their ancestors." That is entirely a lie. It does not teach 'minorities' to embrace their true history. If it did it would tell them the truth: your ancestors lived in the Stone Age until the 19th century. Instead, it makes up a fanciful history, such as in Afrocentrism, to make them "feel better about themselves." And the American Founding Fathers never 'raped, murdered, or dispossessed' anybody. You know that and therefore you are liar---just as your spiritual master if the Father of Lies. What the author wrote in this Hub is the truth. But it is a truth you cannot bear because everyone, like you, who loves evil hates the Light of Truth, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

    James A Watkins:

Your comment only exemplifies the racism and evil that I have already identified. You are in error to imply that anyone who loses a conflict , or who is victimized is somehow inferior, deserving, etc.. If we are to subscribe to such pedestrian logic, then it follows that the illegal immigrants who came here from Europe were also losers, since they couldn't succeed in their own homeland.

What do you think the oft repeated phrase: "They came to America for a better life" means? If the majority had already been "winners", there would have been no need to make the hazardous journey to America. Many, like the Pilgrims, were fleeing religious persecution. The very act of "fleeing" means that there is necessarily another power, force, or entity that is stronger; a force that cannot be compromised or defeated. Your logic indicates that such people are losers, since the winners don't have to run away.

Furthermore, according to you, every Jew who died in a Konzentrationslager is a loser; every man, woman, and child who has ever been raped, molested, or murdered are all losers. But the biggest loser, following your logic, would be Jesus himself. Anyone claiming to be the son of God, who lets a bunch of talking monkeys torture and crucify him, has got to be a loser. Right Jimmy? In fact, Jesus dedicated his short life here on Earth to helping the so-called "losers" that you speak of. I am interested to see if you can bring your next comment up to a 9th grade level.

You did an excellent job describing the state of the union using facts. Imagine that, facts that speak for themselves. Sadly, there are many people in this nation who, as you point out, hate America for what it stands for. We now have college students protesting free speech, which is beyond unbelievable. I can't tell the difference between a democrat and a socialist, and I am sure the dems would have trouble explaining the difference as well.

If I was thin skinned krillco, I'd take offense to the suggestion of this work being of the "trollish nature" and my facts "fabricated" as you so warmly imply. Unfortunately for you, we have differing political views and although I respect yours, I do not and will never agree with them. I firmly believe that President Obama detests America and is doing everything he can to knock this great country down a couple of pegs. I haven't seen much "forward" movement of the country under the leadership of the progressive Democrats. Yes, they passed what they refer to as landmark legislation such as Obamacare, but its an abhorrent failure and the next President will have to fix it or replace it. He ignores our laws, our sovereignty, and drives unproven ideals such as Global Warming/Cooling/Cliamte Change/Whatever much to the destruction of much of the job base this country so desperately needs to remain great. Where is this binding of the nation that you refer to? Obama has done more to divide America than any previous President, through class, race, and more. So, forgive me if I feel that this wanton destruction comes across as hate. You can say its name calling or what you wish, but I stand by my convictions.

But on a separate note, thanks for reading and sharing your comments with the other followers. Hope to see you again in some other forums and I'll be sure to check out what you've written.

Crap in the sense that as a liberal progressive (if you MUST give labels), I do not hate my country. Throwing insults, fabricating 'facts', and generally acting like a fifth grader on the playground is why many people hate POLITICS as it exists in America, but do not hate America. And, the article is almost entirely hyperbole and has a very strong 'troll' feel about it. Both of those approaches do not bind the nation together in a common cause, but are only divisive; just because there is a difference of opinion in HOW to move the county forward, and HOW to govern, it does not mean your opponent 'HATES America'. For example, if I similarly stated that: "Republican Conservatives twist Christianity into an ugly, falsified shield for their selfish, corporate greed, and this is proof that they have no human compassion for the unfortunate, are evil, and truly disregard and hate the freedoms of the Constitution", it would not advance either of our causes or positions, nor would it be (very) true....

    As Obama famously said:

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America'.

Now why would you want to 'fundamentally transform' a country you loved? You would only want to do that if you despised that country.

The archenemy of progressive liberalism is the successful, self-sufficient, heterosexual, Christian white male and his capitalism. Everyone else is his victim, and so progressives have granted women, minorities, the poor, the ever-dependent, homosexuals, and now Islam, 'victim' status. And once they grant their politically correct protection, they will never again criticize them for anything.

We must now decide whether or not we will allow them to silence us with their political correctness dictates in which the decide not only what can be said, but who can say it. They have no law to back them. It's purely societal pressure...so far. But if they can ever establish hate speech laws, then out country and its freedoms are gone unless we are willing to take up arms and save our Constitution.

Superb article. RJ, and I will be following you!

Wow, this is an excellent hub and it explains many of the questions I have had regarding the difference in thinking between liberals and conservatives.

The level of corruption within the ranks of our elected officials is at an all time high. Anyone who thinks those huge campaign contributions don't come with strings attached is fooling themselves. Far too many of our politicians are owned by wealthy individuals, corporations, or both to effectively do the jobs they were hired to do. And that is on both sides of the aisle.

Until such time as we do a really good house cleaning, and or start prosecuting those we know are robbing us blind, not much will change. We have some really good people in the race for next years Presidential election. Most of them could do a far better job than the current President has done.

But then you wrote this hub so you know all of this.

Excellent job of writing by the way.

When you speak of assimilation you are essentially suggesting cultural extermination and genocide. You are suggesting a nation of African, and First Nations people who are "white on the inside"; all things European: language , culture, philosophy, and religion. That is what the term "assimilation" really means in practice.

The so-called "hate groups" that you point out encourage and teach their people to be proud of who they are, and to embrace their true history, culture, and heritage. They also teach the hypocrisy of Americans celebrating "heroes", and "founding fathers" who raped, murdered, and dispossessed their ancestors. No one would expect the Jews to observe the beginning of the Holocaust with parades and celebrations honoring Hitler and the Nazi party. Yet, the Indigenous people of this continent are expected to look the other way and to ignore the celebration of evil.

The fact that you speak of "healing" America speaks volumes. In order for something to be healed, it must first begin from a position of health and wholeness. It must subsequently suffer a wound, sickness, or a disease. America did not begin in wholeness and goodness. America cannot be "healed" simply because you cannot heal a disease, but only the host. The groups that you refer to as hate groups can be likened to antibodies that exist in the human body. The antibody does not seek to destroy the host, but only to preserve the host by destroying the invader, or the disease.

Bigotry is oft misunderstood. It is defined as: intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself. The term is not necessarily associated by definition to racism. Consequently, it can be understood that the antibody is intolerant of the opinions of a disease; that opinion being, that it is right and proper that I, the Black, the Indigenous, and all other races, be devoured, and assimilated by a malignant cancer. Love, hate, and bigotry are neutral terms. These words can be seen as a negative, or a positive, depending on the context in which they are used. Over one hundred million people suffered and died as a result of Colonialism. Indigenous language and culture have been exterminated by Mom, Apple Pie, and the American Way. But in spite of this, you would have all of us stand up and sing along with Lee Greenwood.

I've put the defense of my subject in the body of my work and I'll let it validate itself. I enjoy discussions, but not a big fan of "gotcha" reasoning. WrenchBiscuit - I'm not Christian but America was founded by Christians with Christian values, Christian philosophies, and Christian Morals (at least in public,) so by default the heritage of this nation is influenced heavily by it.

I'm not against any group of people trying to pull themselves up - but you are wrong about the intentions of the hate groups - please show me the "good things" being done by the hate groups identified in this article. Show me how the vitriol makes things better? Identify how America has been healed by the racial induced violence? What are the New Black Panthers and CAIR doing that brings people together? Nothing - all divisiveness and fracturing of the nation. "Black Power" is not a coming together phrase, nor is Sharia Law - both are examples of how these groups want to be separate and under their own ethnic guidance - not part of an assimilated nation.

Implying I've written with "white supremacy" overtones simply shows your bigotry. I write about the facts. I am an American and could care less about the Socialist mess called Europe.

But hey, regardless of our differences, thanks for reading and adding to the discussion. I appreciate all viewpoints.

It is a common tactic for white racists to call any other race, or group that seeks equality and fairness a "hate group". Nice try, but we've heard it all before. Yet, we see that when white America is attacked, such as on 911, there is no shortage of hate coming from the good white Christian folk.

Concerning the Revolutionary War, it didn't go down as you have suggested. The poor and the working class had nothing to gain by going to war against the crown. Just like all other wars since, it was the wealthy landowners like George Washington who had everything to gain.

But for the sake of argument, let's pretend that your fictional account is true. In that case, we clearly see a double standard here. When the European seeks equality, freedom, and justice, he is called a patriot and a freedom fighter. But when a black man, or an Indigenous person seeks the same, you then say they are filled with hate, and that their organizations are "hate groups".

Archie Bunker was funny, and easy to laugh at; mainly because he was a fictional character. After reading this article, with all of it's Eurocentric and white supremacist overtones, I am reminded that fact can still, sometimes be stranger than fiction.

You are correct. The liberals and Progressives are wrong. However, they are not the enemy. Our political system has been corrupted by the elites. They donate to both parties and they create this false conflict between the left and the right. Yes we are opposition but only on methods but not the outcome. This election process is a charade. You think it makes a difference but it doesn't really change anything. To really change Washington, we need a conservative revival like the 1980's Reagan Administration. Don't fall into this trap of blaming the other side. The real problem are the World Order supporters of Soros and his anti-religion, anti-Capitalism philosophy. Unfortunately, most people are clueless.
