Why More People Are Becoming Vegetarian?

Updated on April 4, 2016

Veggie Trend

People all around the world are now becoming more and more vegetarian. Do you know guys The just-released “Vegetarianism in America” study, published by Vegetarian Times (vegetariantimes.com)? It shows that 3.2 percent of U.S. adults, or 7.3 million people, follow a vegetarian-based diet. Approximately 0.5 percent, or 1 million, of those are vegans, who consume no animal products at all. In addition, 10 percent of U.S., adults, or 22.8 million people, say they largely follow a vegetarian-inclined diet. This published study was being carried in USA but as we know that USA is very diverse country. People around the world are coming here. So we can generalized this to the whole population.

So reason is why more and more people give up eating meat ???

There could be number of reasons why more people adopting vegetarianism. But specifically I think these 4 reasons are dominant as follows:

  1. ANIMALS HAVE LIFE : Its wrong to breed animals and slaughter them for their meat. Animals have their life. They do care about what happen to them. That’s why they will resist you from cutting them. Actually, we all know that they have life but don’t know why they just come to know now? Now Many people says that its very hard to get meat of animals. You need to slaughter it first, then take its skin off , removing unnecessary parts, blah.. blah… blah…..By doing this, you are wasting your so much time & energy to get the meat. Just take a look on Earth, Its full of trees and plants. Don’t you think that we should give it try?
  2. FEAR OF ECOLOGY: We are living in Ecosystem and animals are also the part of it. People are now becoming more conscious about ecosystem. They are trying to be more natural by protecting nature and stop disturbing the cycles of ecosystem. If we keep hunting down animals, then it will be like that we are hammering on our own foot. Because we are living in the Ecosystem. Any imbalance in the population of animals will eventually negatively effect on us. That’s why a recent United Nations report entitled Livestock's Long Shadow concludes that eating meat is "one of the most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global."
  3. RELIGION BELIEFS: Followers of different religions like Hinduism, Jainism, Budhhism, …etc encourages the vegetarianism. These religions are very old and strongly believed that all animals have soul and they are also living being. If you kill any animal, it would be as same as killing a human. So the followers also believe that.
  4. TRENDS: I know you guys will tell me what the shit is this? But in fact, its true. If you don’t believe me just ask the crazy fans of Albert Einstein( Scientist), Bryan Adams ( Rock Singer), Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings actress) and many more. There people influenced their Huge number of fans that much that’s why they are now following their all habits and way of living. So This can also be a reason.

These are my opinion regarding to the topic. If you also know the reasons of why people are moving towards vegetarian? Please comment below and share the post.
