Barak Obama’s healthcare summit
Will Barak Obama’s healthcare summit produce a political solution or a compromise in the debate for Healthcare Reform? President Barak Hussein Obama will meet with Democrats and Republicans on Thurs. 2/25/10 to discuss ways on how to solve the national health care problems.
The summit starts at 10:00 eastern time and is allotted 6 hours for presentation and discussion of the proposed healthcare legislation. Congress and the President are not listening to the majority of the people who have told Congress that the Healthcare bill in its present form is not acceptable. Polls taken report that 65% of the people are not in favor of the proposed legislation.
The plan that the President furnished to the public lacks details and the content is similar to the bill rejected by the American public. The first priority of Congress should be for jobs and improving the economy.
The President and Congress still don’t get it and are ignoring the will of the people. The arrogance and incompetence of our elected officials to provide jobs have angered many of the taxpayers who have contacted them and expressed their disapproval of their actions.
The televised summit is a must for those interested in knowing the positions of our elected officials and the President. Our elected officials need to be made accountable for their votes in these troubled times. Let’s hope that the summit will not be another political exercise in futility and a propaganda circus.
