Will Clinton Run for President in 2020?

Updated on November 20, 2018

Oh no. Rumors are starting to pop up that Hillary Clinton will try once again in 2020 to be the first woman president. What would happen this time around? While half of America cannot stand Trump for his personality and policies, the other half probably would vote for him again if the Democrats have no one better than Clinton 2.0.

Like many Americans in 2016, the choice for voters was like picking the best of the worst. Clinton is not a person I can trust. I think some of her policies are too far left for my centrist view. In 2016, Trump's appeal was the unknown aspect and coupled with his economic views, the appeal won over many usually Democratic voters. However, time has passed, and like many who voted for him because Clinton was the opponent, I regret it, but if the same two face off in 2020, maybe I will just not vote. Both are bad.

Surely, the Democratic and Republicans can give Americans a better choice! There must be some contenders willing to take on Trump. There are some Republicans that have more balance and intellect like John Kasich, Marco Rubio. The Democrats should not rely on Clinton, but as of now, few contenders are on the horizon. Of course, Bernie Sanders might run again as well, that would be another ridiculous choice.

Unless Trump does not make it to 2020, it really seems like the election in two years will be deja-vu for many Americans. Would the outcome be the same again? Probably. The campaign will be just as crude and nasty as it was in 2016 because Trump has made that way. There will be may lies and fake news spewing out of his mouth and his opponents will no doubt get in the dirt with him to take him on.

Please Hillary, spare us in 2020 and do not run for President. Your time is over. The Democratic Party can find someone with much less bad history. If you run, it will be 2016 all over again.
