Well, sort of. I'd say it is more like an international board of directors who run all of the governments, everywhere. However, if you are talking just about America, then it's more like certain special interest groups running both of the political parties. Here's how it works: A certain group guarantees campaign funding for all candidates of a political party as long as their (the group's) best interest's are always pushed. If you look at the agendas each party is pushing, it's pretty obvious that the Democrats liberal agenda originates in Hollywood (in my opinion, Oprah Winfrey was one of the main causes of Obama's presidency). Many groups run the Republicans. Their decisions are all made by evil genius CEO's, as you can tell by their superior strategy (like throwing the 2008 election so they could blame the Democrats for the Recession). The Republicans are run by the food, drug (pharma), and oil industries. Of course, this is all theoretical. If you become a billionaire someday, perhaps you could answer this question for the rest of us, as being a billionaire gives you automatic entry to "the club." There are obvious answers to the country's problems, but it would hurt these special interest's pocket books. What I do is, I write all the obvious solutions that we have all thought of, but the government has not yet implemented. If you want to see how government should be run if it were not so overrun by corruption, check out my hubs.
