    I think that it would bring humanity together for sure yes, but then again..you always get the people who say "If you, can't beat em' join em! "

    It does seem to be the case that people band together when there is an Other present and I've always through the only thing that would really bring the entire human race together would have to be an outside threat. Adrian Veidt seemed hold this view, too.

    i wish i could say yes, but i doubt it would happen. i think a lot of countries would try to defend themselves without caring about others. i can picture nukes being shot at an alien ship while it is over some other country because said country wants to destroy it before it gets to them.

    Not a chance. Everyone would start launching nukes and eradicate our planet for them. We can't even get the two parties in ONE country to agree on a budget and you think they are going to save us when the aliens come knocking?
