Do you think the death of bin laden will strengthen the U.S?
in the eyes of the world, will killing bin laden save face and restore faith in the U.S.?
I think it will make President Obama look good, as though he personally took part in the killing. It shouldn't effect Obama's ratings at all, but I have a feeling it will be the thing he is remembered for, doing what Bush couldn't, getting rid of the man that caused 9-11.
I believe the opportunity is there for this to strengthen this country. I do not think that Obama has previously shown the leadership ability to take such an opportunity, and utilize it to strengthen this land, that so badly needs it.
I think it does send a clear message to the world, if harm is brought to us, that we WILL seek justice, despite how ever long it may take.
Hooray for Team 6! USN SEALS!
Seems to appear that it would make US stronger - now the leader is Mr. Bump on the Head - I mean really - how well can a person plan and lead when they are constantly banging their forehead on the ground?
It will restore our morale, but I'm not sure about strengthening the US. If anything, it will anger al qaeda even more...
At this time it may serve to weaken our position, think of the stress between us and Pakistan. Of course retaliation is a real threat to consider as well. This won't make us wholly weak, however, just that moving forward is going to continue to be very difficult. How we do will ultimately prove how strong we are.
Cannot deny, finding and executing Osama bin Laden was a strong move by the USA!

With all of the talk about GITMO regarding "Illegal Detention" and "Enhanced Interigation" techniques, I was wondering what were the thoughts of those who believed that all of the Detainees should have a trial in the US. Specifically, should Bin Laden have been brought back to...

a little something sent to me...do you believe it? do you really care? "Every indication clearly points to last Sunday’s raid being a manufactured ploy to return Americans to a state of post-9/11 intellectual castration" Paul Joseph WatsonInfowars.comMay 9, 2011Merely a week after...

This fascinates me. The bungler in chief has changes his story a few times about Bin Laden's well deserved death. One might think they could just watch the videos from the assault team along with the helicopter-mounted cameras, develop a timeline, create some PowerPoint slides and tell the people...

Okay, I know this probably isn't that big of a deal to some folks, but i thought i'd bring it up anyway. On the radio the other day, I was listening to two political analysts, and one of them still insists on labeling O'Bama a moron for how he's handled things from day one of his...

Was the killing of Bin Laden right even if illegal under international law ?The killing of Bin Laden is now being described as illegal & extra-judicial under international & military law. It's widely agreed Bin Laden had become a shambling, lonely, powerless shadow of his...

Remember, an accomplishment is something that actually results in something good happening for the US. Something that is being used and taken advantage by the people. It is not just passing bills, or starting plans that won't take effect for several years. Something that is beneficial and solves a...
