Osama pics unavailable.......WHY???
What is the problem with showing pics of Osama Bin Ladin's death? Why is there such controversy?
My personal reason for not publishing them is that I have no doubt in my mind it will drive at least one person to an act in murdurous revenge that would not otherwise have done so if the picture had not been published. The death of one innocent person resulting from publishing of this picture is one too many and trumps any rational to publish the pictures that has been put forward so far.
I believe it is because there are no pictures to show. The story that surrounds the raid changes on a daily basis and they are doing whatever they can to avoid the topic of the burial at sea. The government is in the process of sticking their foot in their mouths. I think that we are about to see the government for who they truly are...
Just throwing the pictures out there would likely cause some unwanted things that could have been easily prevented.
The country is not trying to give the appearance of reveling in his death and gory images, nor are we trying to aggravate enemies further. We're trying to remain on a high road, not instigate retaliation, while still confirming his death to the world.
We also need to stop falling into a childish and distracted era of conspiracy theories in which we need to see everything, and immediately. Publishing death photos was never appropriate for our Nation and we may end up doing so just to dispel suspicion.
Regardless, the pictures aren't revealed yet because it's always better to wait, think things through, and do the smartest, dignified thing for the Nation and the world.
A picture would no more incite Blowback anymore then an attempt at subterfuge of truth. The spread of imperialism or the continued march of the military industrial complex is the predominant reason for radical Islam. Read "Imperial Hubris" by CIA veteran Michael Scheuer.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
No truer words concerning government and it's relationship to the people were ever spoken.
I mean REALLY...
why do you think they are unavailable?
why do you think he was buried at sea?
It never happened!!!
He was killed in 2001
What difference does it make,he's dead and gone. showing his pics will result to magnifying him.
Any pics could cause issues with some group or other so we can't blame the Government for taking their time and thinking things over and not any rash decission.
The US government was democratically voted into power, shouldn't they be shown some trust?
I think you all bring out some very thoughtworthy ideas. I do not know what to believe. Even if they do decide to air pics, we would never really know if they were true photographs, or if they were fakes. I would just think tho, that our government would have had sense enough to get the story straight before hand, if this is indeed all fabricated.

Do you think the death of Osama is nothing but a distraction?I believe he was caught and killed years ago. That's why they have no pictures. I also believe they are using this to distract us from Obama's birth certificate. It's fake. This is no conspiracy theory, its what I find to be the truth. So...
