Yes, but that's not saying much.  Bush didn't set the bar very high.

Most administrations begin to look quite similar after a couple of years when reality set in. The expectations of the voters can never be met by politicians. When those expectations are very high the disappointment is also very high. Obama has learned many things since becoming President as did George Bush before him. One of the things they both had to accept is the revelation that the President is not the "most powerful man" in the world. They also learned that the Presidency has enormous limitations placed on it by the constitution and by the complexity of leading the United States of America. It's a very tough job, quite possibility , the most difficult job in the world. Maybe our leaders, regardless of their party affiliation, deserve our respect for their service. Whether we choose to give it, or not, is a reflection on us...... not them!

Yes I do.  Bush really had us on the wrong course with the invasion of a country that never attacked us:  Iraq.  That is not what we should be about.

But the differences between the Ds and the Rs are becoming less and less apparent in recent years.  On foreign and economic policy, they are hard to distinguish.  Now with Obama offering to cut Social Security and Medicare, their social spending policies are looking quite similiar.  The main difference these days is really where they stand on social issues.

I think we give most Presidents too much credit and too much blame.  Obama hasn't lied to us just to start a war and he kept us from a going into a depression.  Bush did really well right after 9/11 then he blew it.  Obama is a vast improvement over Bush but they are not alone up there in DC.
