I don't think it should be completely ended. What should happen is that there are limits set.
The only reason this is now an issue was due to Lawrence Russell Brewer's huge meal request....
"For his final meal, Brewer asked for two chicken fried steaks, a triple-meat bacon cheeseburger, fried okra, a pound of barbecue, three fajitas, a meat lover’s pizza, a pint of ice cream and a slab of peanut butter fudge with crushed peanuts. Prison officials said Brewer didn’t eat any of it." - Washington Post
Give death row inmates a last request within reason. Maybe have a menu with items, or grant only a few food selections. I think it is important that justice is served, but to keep ourselves from becoming total animals, allow a little mercy. Just not as much as Brewer got!
