Do you welcome change or do you prefer routine? Would you welcome a forced change of job?
I am a creature of habit... however I think about change as an opportunity and as such explore the change until I decide if I like it or not.
I thrive on changes. I hates routine. I definitely would be the first one to grab an airline ticket for abroad for a work. I never felt limited.
I am a fairly adaptable and flexible person. I do like some routine, but also welcome change. A forced job change, though, would probably be met with some hostility. The amount of hostility would depend on how different that job is. Like, if it required relocation or furthering my education, or if it were a demotion.
I like the structure of a routine. . . yet it's true that too little change leaves you feeling that your life really is the 'same old same old.'
As to the job part, I'm underemployed and so am in a sense already experiencing "a forced change"--and I'd welcome the end of that experience.
For now, at least.
The paradox that is me: I'm easily bored, so if I'm in the same job for a number of years, it would have to be one that is far from routine. At the same time, I'm a control-freak, so a forced change of job would probably cause some serious anxiety for me, unless it was the job of my dreams (read non-routine) and would not negatively impact my family.
We've been through this in the past couple of years. I thought I loved change but it can be very daunting when the change isn't your idea. However we've now turned things around and turned a very negative situation into a very positive one, which I think would help me deal with things better if there's ever a next time.

If you could change anything about where you're living now, what would you change? For me, I would change how far away, I am from my town. I live on a secluded dirt road and it takes 15 to 20 minutes to get into town and it wastes a lot of gas to go back and forth. How about you? What would you...

One of the problems I have with evolution is that it does not always seem compatible with the desire to stay alive. If a fish is perfectly healthy and content living in water then why would it bother trying to drag itself onto dry land? Wouldn't this be like a human trying to survive in a dry hot...
