How does President Obama propose to give everyone '' a fair shot and a fair share'' in the country.

On Dec. 06, 2011 President Obama in  Osawatomie, Kansas declared the American middle class in jeopardy. The US is at a'' make or break moment '' for the middle class worker.Obama took aim at the Republicans saying '' their philosophy is simple.we are better off when everyone is left to fend for themselves and play by their own rules'',Obama said '' I'm here to say they are wrong. ''  Obama continued to say ''in the end, rebuilding this economy based on fair play, a fair shot and a fair share will require all of us to see the stake we have in each other's success.'' Three years and counting.

I am so sick of Obama.  Wish the GOP field was stronger, but I will take just about anyone at this point.  We are not a socialist country, nor should we be.

Perhaps that doesn't really answer the question, and I realize the internet and most media is extremely left, but...

There's a lot of political spectrum between "a socialist country" and the current state of affairs. Trying to ensure people have "a fair shot and a fair share" can easily fall somewhere between.
It's a fact that the middle class has been shrinking in recent years. It's a fact that the disparity between the richest Americans and the poorest has been increasing. Economists and historians agree that both these things do not typically bode well for a sustainable society and economy, so why not try to improve things?
I'm not terribly familiar with the specifics of what Obama has proposed, but the provisions of his jobs bill would be a good place to look to answer your questions.

Except that no one does it by themselves!
Business needs workers and they need consumers. Or they would have NOTHING.
Their problem is they see themselves as some sort of godly beings.
    They are not.
They live and die just like everybody else. No better, no less.
    And Obama is right.
As a great philosopher said: your success as a nation depends on how you treat the least among you.
Or, put another way; Injustice for one is injustice for all.
Our problem is we have glorified injustice.
The robber barons have skewered perception in their favor. But that illusion is over.
Success at the cost of others misery is failure!

American politics is about money and votes.  Good ideas and good debate are not part of the equation.  For me trying to figure out what a politician means to do is like shaking hands with an Octopus.  You may have a hold of one hand but what are the other seven doing.  Also their grip sucks and it is a bit slimy.

We need a independent thinker who can take the good ideas and put them to work.  I don't see him or her anywhere in the mix.

    Obama is an idiot.

My sense of fair play is this - if a person wants to be treated fairly, they should get off their lazy butt and find a job. Can't find one because their precious Obama and a Dem Congress under Bush screwed it up? Then they should get off their lazy butt and create their own job. Either way, they should stop bitching and fix it themselves and stop waiting for the government to help. They should stop acting like society owes them something. Society doesn't owe them JACK!

The government can't do but one of two things.

    1. Get in the way and grow bigger, thus screwing things up like they are now under the idiot, Obama.

    or

    2. Get the hell out of the way and let the American people fix the problem!!!

    If they'll do 2, we'll fix it.

4 more years of that moron, Obama, and we're screwed with a capital F.

That idiot can't find his own butt with both hands and a flashlight.

(Deep Breath) Thanks. I feel better now.

That the middle class is weakening is not an exclusive US phenomenon. It's happening almost everywhere in the developed world, and it goes hand in hand with rising authoritarianism. Obama represents increased centralization of power and wealth, which is the opposite of the solution to the problem. His policies are making it worse. He doesn't care, his only vision now is getting himself reelected, and he says whatever his advisors think will contribute to that goal. He's blowing smoke.
