Is Mitt Romney an example of corrupt capitalism? Limbaugh attacked Newt's lambaste of Mitt.
01-10-12: Rush Limbaugh attacked Gingrich's derogation of Mitt Romney's business model: buy a company, make money, then close it and sell everything for maximum profit. Limbaugh said Newt is "left" in this approach. Left, right, whatever: making money is okay. Doing so at the expense of others' livelihood is outright crooked. Jesus said, "There is no greater love than this: that a man should lay down his life for his friends."
What is it when a man reduces the quality of life for thousands of others so that he can make tens of millions?
Limbaugh is associated with M.R.'s firm, Bain capital.
I don't know that Mitt Romney is particularly corrupt, but he is an example neoliberal corporatism. The status quo is premised on a handful of very wealthy people profiting from the labor of the majority as though the money were theirs in the first place. Fortunately, it seems that people are waking up to the fake that they are tools of the system and want to change to a more humane system.

I wonder if anyone personally knows what and how Romney acquired these businesses, operated these businesses or closed these businesses other than what we see in the media. Did people get healthy severance packages, retraining. Did Romney and company get hood winked into buying a bad company and had to cut the losses. Did the companies sell to another company that carried on the work force. Would they have closed had he not stepped in and did he save more jobs by doing what he did than would have been lost if no one came to the table with hundreds of millions of dollars
I don't know any of this so I would be hesitant to comment on the nature or validity of the Limbaugh comment or anyone else.
We are so caught up in propaganda and a willingness to believe what we are fed.

Here we go again. It's "I'm uber patriotic and he's not!" time in campaign land again. In 2008 the accusation was that Obama failed to wear the "de rigeur" flag lapel pin, thus proving he is less patriotic than any/all of the other candidates. Now, Mitt Romney is showing off how...

When Trump was deciding to run for President in 2015, he interviewed with Romney. He decided Romney was too weak to run for president and he was right. He also decided the rest of the 16 declared candidates cannot win either. That was why he decided to jump in. The rest is history.Romney just...

The man is truly embarrassing,he is incapable of answering a single question on any topic because of the fear of the extreme right which makes him give nonsensical answers and look like a mumbling fool when asked even the simplest of questions.

I thought Mrs. Romney was very artificial and stiff. The things she said about all the roles we women play were true, but more for our Mother's generation. She was discussing things like helping the kids write the book report while waiting for hubby to get home, when most Mom's work, something she...

He is clearly a pathological and habitual liar. He has poor control over his explosive temper. He giggles when confronted about disturbing behavior he has done in the past. Who is stupid enough to vote for a man who has poor self control, an explosive temper, and is unable to tell the truth....

"I'm going to champion small business. We've got to make it easier for small businesses. Big business is doing fine in many places -– they get the loans they need, they can deal with all the regulation. They know how to find ways to get through the tax code, save money by putting various...
