Outside of our President, there really isn't any. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton give me heartburn. President Obama should be the model for those who want to be African American leaders of the future. We need intelligence, thoughtfulness, and a willingness to stand up to the those who would try to trample on the right of all Americans. It's also time for the leadership in the black community to confront, realistically, the problems of absentee fathers, teen pregnancy, and violence. It's time that we heal our own. It's time that the leaders in our community are honest about the challenges we face and that they deal with them without fear.
