As a neutral person, and a pacifist wishing to encourage peace among nations, I recommend that we see both sides of any conflict as legitimate. Both Pakistan and India have legitimate claims to Kashmir. Both have been involved in violence. Letting go of "you started it" arguments and seeking present-day peaceful solutions is best. This took over 100 years in Northern Ireland, but it worked. One good book about this are Getting to Yes, from the Harvard Negotiation Project. (They coordinated the first Camp David accords, which brought peace between the Egypt and Israel, a peace that has lasted now longer than the 30 years of war.) Another is a novel, The Light in the Forest, which shows how white settlers and Native Americans each came to see the other as evil, when each was only defending his own people.
Wishes of peace to you.
