Was the killing of Osama bin Laden a serious violation of international law ?


Are people generally of the opinion that the killing of Osama bin Laden was a serious violation of international law in terms of the rules of engagement for asymmetrical war, the theatre of operation of Operation Enduring Freedom and the sovereignty of Pakistan. ?

    Vegas Elias... this does not address the question, I am asking how people view this in the context of international law. FYI regarding war see the Geneva Convention 1949, the Hague Conventions 1899 & 1907 & the Geneva Protocol 1929.
