Will Shabazz be charged or penalized for hate speech?
NewBlackPantherParty leader Shabazz has been quoted saying hateful things: I love white-on white-crime, because that is the best crime; You should be thankful we’re not running around here hanging crackers by nooses and all that kind of stuff — yet, yet, yet; We don’t allow faggots and lesbians” in the New Black Panther Army;Envisions a world where every black person is “ready to bang on this cracker; We’re taught to send this cracker to the cemetery… so kiss ‘em goodbye. So, why isn't he being charged with hate speech?
He is apparently not considered news worthy enough, or maybe not controversial enough..
America tends to be extremely protective of Free Speech. Hatred isn't illegal unless it pushes into the realm of 'fighting words' or inciting violence, and that distinction seems to be poorly defined and difficult to charge someone with.
There is a lot of hatred being spewed all over the place these days. If Shabbaz really said those things, it doesn't, to me, stand out from other things that are commonly heard.

According to a new poll that was taken, it seems a lot of Americans want the first amendment to be changed, as some feel jail time and/or a possible fine should be given to anyone who does "hate speech", which isn't defined that easily. Here's a link to the site in question that shows...

We know that freedom of speech often allows hate speech and we know that more reasonable and rational speech combats hate speech. Should freedom of religion provide protection for religious hate speech in the same way?

Do you think freedom of expression is misusing under certain cases? Why people of both sides (arguments and defends) are claiming they each of them have their freedom of expression?
