Got to just keep doing it. I am a very hard headed person that does not easily give  up. I always believe that tomorrow is another day and it might get better. So there is my reason to not give up.

The Bible says my days were all written in His book before there was one of them, so I figure I need to keep turning pages until I reach "The End."  Makes for some fascinating reading at times.

Hello L_E... the thing that keeps me going is knowing that if I give up I will have to live with that thought in my mind. It is one thing to be beaten, but instead failure and willfully giving up indicates a lack of character and intestinal fortitude to adapt, overcome and persevere. And that kind of failure, as opposed to being beaten legitimately by someone in a competition, requires me to look myself in the mirror every day. I can't handle that.

The other side of that coin is looking others in the eye. Failure is one thing, but giving up the fight because I lack character or determination is another.

Failure is something that simply is not an option from the point of view of willingly giving up the fight.

My husband here in Texas, and my family back home in England.  Sometimes life seems overwhelming for us all, and the baggage we carry, too heavy.  But that's when you have to take a step back, look at the good things you have, and fathom out the best path to take in order to achieve even more.
    Good question, @Lady_E!

All things are possible with Christ.  When I am weak, I know that He is strong.  When life is hard and troubles come my way, I lift up my burdens to God in faith knowing that He is more than capable of handling anything that is too big for me to tackle on my own.  Sometimes it is difficult and at times I fall on my face and must humbly ask for His help.  He always comes through just at the right moment.  I am not alone and I have a great friend and helper that gives His angels charge over me.  He is an excellent motivator and staying in continual communication with Him inspires me to keep on going and to strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him and that ultimately glorifies Him.  When you think of how awesome He is, giving up on your Creator just isn't an option!

There's a little motor in the back of my head that tells me to get up, get cracking, keep trying and push aside any of my failures. Certainly, they get me down at the time and I curse myself. It doesn't last, though. I'm always on the lookout for 'chances', building on successes. There's only me who can live my life, I'm part of a 'team' and come what may you don't let your team-mates down if you can help it. If others have to carry you, they soon tire of you. Your friends would have to be special to carry you indefinitely.
Life's great if you don't weaken!

Certainly my faith in God, my family and friends. I usually wake up happy and try not to let the little things bother me. Most little annoyances are temporary anyway.

I love the photo - that orange is sure having a bad day, and not quitting!

    What keeps me going?
Inside myself, the quiet energy of Love that makes the heart beat, sending blood and oxygen to all the other organs saying, "I love you. Live, just as you are. Live, that I may live. Our lives are one.

Outside myself, those moments when someone receives my gift or sees me as I am, and life and love are nourished.

    Thanks for asking!

The answer to this is borne out of a whole complex series of events. Without explaining what they are, I can just say that every day is a new opportunity to do and be and explore and learn.
So, yesterday will be a glimmer, it will be in my rear view mirror and if I made a mistake there hopefully I learned from it.
What is there not to rejoice about? We all have life issues that take us to depths of despair. But, the wondrous thing is we can 'pick ourselves up and carry on.' We do not need to be stuck in the sad and lonely place of despondency. We have a choice.
We do whatever it takes to make each day count.

Life is a mystery! One never knows what will come up around the corner. When things get tough, it's important to have some strategies to cope. I like to sing and dance! I also call my friends and tell them how grateful I am for having them in my life. Being grateful is the way forward, no matter how bleak the situation seems it could always be worse. I thank the universe for all the gifts that come my way every day. Sometimes the gifts may seem "bad" but through those experiences, we also learn and grow spiritually.

The Spirit keeps me going. That Energy which flows through me (and through every living thing, for that matter). The Spirit is beyond this three dimensional perspective and thus, the hardships which You speak of, have no or very little effect on It.

My ancestors, the Dacian people believed in immortality and I do too. The Spirit doesn't break down, unless we give It up.

    I wish everyone well. Cheers! : )

    P.S. Love your photo!

My soon-to-be husband and my whole family. The last 2 years were very tough, I have lost my beloved grandma (bone cancer) and we had to move to another country to make our living as back in our home life became way too hard in the past few years. But all these years my fiance was able to give hope to me and I believe I did the same to him. I miss my family a lot in here, but thanks to great technology like Skype we can keep in touch everyday and this makes it much more easier.
If u feel down you still have to think about the beauties in your life and I believe that is what keeps us all going.
    Best wishes!

By not looking too far ahead.  95% of the things we worry about, never happen. I plan for the future but I don't plan the results. I also keep telling myself that I only have to make it through today. Live in the now. Tomorrow, I'll worry about then.
If we wake up tomorrow, that's a good start. Good enough that I want to do it again the next day. That's motivation enough for me.

God for sure! When I am feeling low, I just stop and think about all the ways he has already blessed me. I also look to my Mother, friends, and family.  For example I can't complain about my feeble problems when my mom has suffered a stroke and a heart attack, but still finds the strength to get up everyday and smile. If she can do it, then by golly I can too!

This is an excellent question.  My motivation and inspiration comes from my faith in God and love of family.  Although its true that we are living in challenging times, we must not give up or lose hope.  Understanding that we motivate and inspire others can also be a way to strengthen our own resolve and prospects for the future.

I would suggest  limiting negative input in our daily lives as much as possible.  Instead seek  information and associations that represent positive solutions. This can mean cutting back on the talking heads and headlines that often attempt to sieze the day. Read a book, see a great inspirational movie, visit and cheer up an elderly person who has things far worst than you.  The point is get your heart and mind focused on something constructive.

Lastly, even in the midst of challenges take a moment and reflect on appreciate the blessings that you already possess. Be thankful for a right mind and a strong body.  If your car has some issues but still runs, be thankful that your not walking.  If you get tired of not eating out all the time, be thankful that you eat on a regular basis.  So on and so forth.  Find that silver lining and believe the best is yet to come.

Althought this is certainly not exhaustive I hope it’s food for thought.

Life is full of challenges, otherwise we will not be using our gift of "thinking". Only humans are capable of thinking constructively. The knowledge alone that I can think and that I am capable of instantly changing my thought processes, is a motivation by itself.

There are times when my anger, jealousy, and suspicion of infidelity in the case of my husband, are really "killing" me. Plus the frustrations that we cannot be together because of bureaucracy...and all the problems that come along in this connection, are really pushing me to the dead-end, that I am often tempted to call the whole lot quits and to change course. But then, my husband is the most kind and most patient and persistent person I had ever met. Acknowledging the quality of my husband is a motivation that cause me to replace my negative thoughts and feelings with loving thoughts and thanksgiving. I believe in "Problems resolve themselves" and "Life supports itself". Also, I remind myself that "There is a perfect time for everything in our life." There are good and bad times, I count the good times and really re-experience them; in this way, the bad ones just fade naturally.

Because there is beauty in the natural world and innocence.
We can't control what people do but we are here to live the best life we can.
Even if that means planting flowers and watching them grow.
I live for my family. We have fun in watching our kids grow up.
We never know what might change for the better.
Every day is a mystery and by living it we solve the mystery.
There is still good. And if not anything else giving up is depressing.
    I'd rather keep on going.
    Who knows.
Apples or oranges. It's all okay.
