   How Will ObamaCare Affect You?
   
   Yesterday, in a landmark split decision the Supreme Court voted to uphold the Affordable Care Act, popularly dubbed ObamaCare.  The thing about ObamaCare is there are many provisions that will affect everyone, sometimes very negatively, and there’s been lots of debate about what the prolonged effects will be.  What do you think of ObamaCare, and what impact will it most likely have on you and people you know?

   The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act affects everyone. Yes, there are some people who think it's terrible and some who think it's wonderful. Never is everyone happy. I wholeheartedly support the ACA because it stops insurance companies from denying coverage to people with pre-existing conditions. This is the only humane thing to do. Because of this, insurance companies need more money to cover these people, which is why the individual mandate exists. If the mandate wasn't there, then people would just wait until they got sick and then buy insurance. The system would fall apart. Another thing people complain about is that we're paying for the health insurance of low income people. That is true. However, we are already paying that money and more. Every time someone without coverage goes to the emergency room and receives treatment, the people pick up the tab through taxes. It's actually cheaper to do it this way. And for those who call Obama a socialist, think on this. He compromised to this plan instead of going forward with universal health care. Many European countries have universal health care, and it works really well for them. Even that isn't socialism. So Obama is nowhere near socialist. Obamacare is a step in the right direction, and I support it. But we're not even close to being done. Next step: Universal Health Care! *This isn't about being political. This is about giving everyone access to health care, including the poor, not just the rich. It's not class warfare. The government is right to step in, because the health insurance companies are robbing the people blind. The ACA helps somewhat, but the health insurance companies must go.

   I know of several positive results of the Affordable Health Care Act, such as young
   people being able to stay on their parents health insurance until
   they reach 26 and women receiving numerous services without charge no matte what their
   their insurance companies have mandated.
   Small businessmen complain about having to provide health care for their employees, but that I believe is their duty.
      Will there be long waiting lines for medical services as some forecast.
   I doubt that; however, one cannot know the answer until the law has been in effect for some
   time. What are other negative features?
