Being blessed with a full and rich live I will be doing something else. I may read about the conventions. i may catch some high lights - willingly and unwillingly. I am certain I will not plant myself in front of the TV and gobble up great globs. If something interesting is said I will beable to read about it and read teh text of it free from the shouting and the absurdity of television coverage.
It isn't the politicians that bother me most, though Democrats and their phony populism and partisan hatred and vitriol do make me queezy. It is the obvious partisanship of the ostensibly objective media when they should all be wearing big red, white and blue "O" armbands. It is the shameless propaganda of the media that I find most troubling.
The demeanor and professionalism of Chinese government news presenters is rivaled by the complete lack of analytical thought among Americna media personalities. The only way American news presenters could eclipse their Chinese colleagues is to actually be on the payroll of the Democrat party.
No, I will not watch but I will examine the outcomes.
