Do you have any questions that you think need to be answered about the 9/11 attacks?

With the recent anniversary of the tragic event, it's been in high debate whether or not a new investigation should be looked into and many people have lots on unanswered questions still. Do you have any? and do you support a new investigation?

Are all the bad guys behind the tragic are all behind bars? Are all the victims were all given the true justice? Yes. I will support.

I doubt if all the bad guys got what was coming to them. True justice for the victims would have required covert operations from the US government rather than what was done. Sledgehammer tactics  create more victims rather than run down bad guys.

There are more questions than answers about that day and there always will be.  I have my doubts that the story we were told is what actually happened and I'll just leave it at that.  A new investigation by the same corrupt people isn't going to turn up anything new so why bother?  I always thought it was a convenient excuse to get people to support war all over the Middle East to control oil.  I am still convinced that's what was behind it.  It was either orchestrated or allowed to happen.  I put nothing past any form of government.  This answer will probably not be popular, but oh well.  I have deep reservations and always have.

I don't think the US govt orchestrated it, but I do think they took full advantage of it in the aftermath to exploit their own, unrelated agenda in the middle east.

Good points. And because the criminal destruction of crime scene evidence, I suspect our government was behind it. Iron microspheres in the 9/11 dust prove it was an inside job. And people continue to die because of it

I think they orchestrated it and used it to their advantage.  Also, anyone remember the 2.3 trillion dollars missing the day before at the pentagon?

what happened on 9/11 is th result of power play. big boys with big toys moving their pieces across the board. us little people are nothing more than pawns in this game. we have no voice or say. if we get really riled up they make a show of investigating to shut us up so they can continue their power games. but there is something we DO have a say about. and that is how the responders have been treated since that day. that is something that makes me very mad. they lost so much and went through so much and have since suffered so much...and have been treated very badly. they must think we dont care about them. we are ungrateful for all they did and all they have suffered.

Bravo! The EPA had the gall to say that the air was safe right after 9/11. So many have suffered because of the poison gases from the burning plastics and more. But many more are dying and suffering because of 9/11. Like our Constitution!

    Adamowen,

I am happy to hear a question on this topic too, The incident happened and left many questions behind. 1st is that if it was the planning of Taliban then how was it possible to enter such a sensitive area? 2nd it is assumed that in this incident there was no Jew that was victim of this attack so it is said that it was not planned by the Taliban instead by the Jews. Americans have the technology to see a man under the earth then why the too much innocents were killed in the drone attacks in Wazirastan and in Afghanistan too. I condemn this opinion also that people often comment about the Taliban attack because where was the intelligence system of the  US to overcome this type of uncertainties?

Our intelligence system was not handled properly during the Clinton years. Remember the USS Cole was also captured. In the Carter years we had hostages in Iran and a long time ago, Gary Power, flying a U2 plane over Russia was shot down as a US spy.

I want to ask why so many are convinced it was a conspiracy--a lot of theories, a lot of alleged pieces of evidence but no one has put it together. If the target was the Towers why hit the Pentagon and try to hit the Capitol. Someone said the details about the nation's debt was in the Pentagon. I doubt that seriously. If it was a conspiracy, why was everyone so happy with Osama BIn Laden was killed. If you consider this attack to be a conspiracy, because our intelligence failed, do you think the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 was a conspiracy. Did we have a secret pact with Hitler to eliminate the Jews.

I was in my office, the TV was on, I saw the replay of the first plane hitting the first tower. Everyone then thought it was an accident. Then the second plan, the third and the fourth. It was a conspiracy, a conspiracy by our enemies. I would ask that we concentrate on the present and put to rest alleged conspiracy theories about a 12 year old incident. The incident should never be forgotten. The conspiracy theories should be buried in the Grassy Knoll in Dallas. So the question is, are we as a nation spending too much time chasing theories that can never be proved where virtually all the physical evidence is gone?

    1. tlmcgaa70 profile image61

the targets were the towers, the pentagon and the white house. very key points meant to cripple this nation.

I agree Larry. Sadly tho', the fact that absolute unarguable proof is almost impossible to achieve in these cases means that conspiracy theorists will continue to cling to their beliefs even if the hard evidence doesn't substantiate those beliefs.

    3. tlmcgaa70 profile image61
tlmcgaa70posted 11 years agoin reply to this

it does not have to be a conspiracy for those to still be the targets. any serious enemy would know where our weak spots are and aim at them. that is what is called strategy. you cripple your enemy as quickly and suddenly as you can, u get the advant

Lots of questions and yes we need an unbiased investigation with full subpoena powers.

    Why?

Because so many deaths and expenses CONTINUE to be made because of 9/11.

Why did the FBI stand down from tracking and stopping the suspicious perpetrators before 9/11?

Why did the military stand down from sending up fighter interceptors on 9/11? Usually it takes only minutes for 2 fighters to get in the air and to reach the wayward planes. And why did the Bush government change the procedures a few months earlier, requiring all interceptor request to be approved by Donald Rumsfeld?

Why did the military officers who failed us on 9/11 in protecting our skies all get promotions, rather than demotions and/or court martials?

Why did the government {{ commit a major felony }} by destroying crime scene evidence prior to the official investigation?

Why did Bush block attempts of independent investigators into 9/11?

Why did Bush drag his feet on starting an official investigation and then under-fund it and block full cooperation with the 9/11 commission, prompting the chairman to state that it was "set up to fail?"

Why did Bush lie about WMDs and Al Qaeda camps in Iraq, and then laugh about it afterward, despite the thousands of deaths those lies caused?

    ======================================

9/11 was an inside job. Many in government and corporations benefited from 9/11.

In New York, the tons of iron microspheres found in the 9/11 concrete dust prove controlled demolition. Controlled demolition proves 9/11 was an inside job. How? Because Al Qaeda could not have had unfettered access to all 3 highly secure buildings without the government, Bush family run security and CIA knowing about it.

Here's the late Aaron Russo describing how the Rockefellers knew about 9/11 a year before it happened. In fact, they were greedily looking forward to it. Deaths of innocents? Oh, they're just little people. They don't matter to a Rockefeller.

Just so things don't get too serious, here's 5 minutes of 9/11 humor.

Sorry but almost all these points have been answered by independent security, building design and demolition experts. The twin towers were NOT controlled demolitions! Where questions need to be asked are to do with mistakes and failures - not murder

Unfortunately 9/11 has long become a "media hive", yes it would be good to have a new hard-hitting investigation to establish beyond doubt who were the people behind the monstrous attacks. Could a group of turban Muslims in the outback of Afghanistan do such a thing, or is it of a more complex problem to do with high-powered technology, mathematics and brains plotting when, how to hit and exactly at what angle. That way the lives of those killed wouldn't have gone in vane--very unfortunate.

You can't have it both ways. All I heard, from the 2000 election all the way through till today, is just how "stupid", "incompetent", and "inept" George W. Bush was.

Yet the same people that blast Bush for being an "idiot", will turn around and accuse him of orchestrating a crime so heinous that, not only would fit right in in a Bond movie, but it would also make him the biggest criminal master mind since Capone.

Pick a side guys, that's all I'm saying.

If you need to believe it was some massive conspiracy, that's fine, I get it, but you're either gonna have to find yourself a new "bad guy" or admit that "W" was a freaking genius (which one would need to be in order to plan, execute, and then cover up this crime).

If he was involved, obviously he wouldn't have been in it by himself, but he would have been the puppet-master. To put it anther way, it's Occam's razor on a much larger scale.

People like to squash inquiry by labeling inquiries "conspiracy theories"; nevertheless, when a person has two eyes and a reasoning mind, he or she can see there's something wrong with the official story. I don't want to go into detail, though I know the details, but I'll just say that there are unanswered questions, and there are plenty of facts and evidence that bring doubt upon the official story. The value of re-investigating is that it is good to have a full awareness of what's really going on and to understand deceptions that occur, especially when it involves death and wars and other things like the economy.

But conspiracy theories are not fair inquiries NateB11. Conspiracy theories are for the most part unsubstantiated allegations made with minimal evidence or unbiased research, and no cross examination of experts who actually know about these things.

Larry why make it a challenge, I don't. And what theory? Here's a fact for you: Well built high rise buildings don't quickly collapse straight down from office fires, with one building not even hit by a plane; your own eyes should tell you the truth.

There are undoubtably questions still awaiting answers about 9/11 - but they are questions to do with competence and errors of judgement before, during and after the event.

The is no question as to the perpetrators of the attrocities. The conspiracy theory idea that 9/11 was carried out by the Government or by clandestine organisations within America, or by Jews, or by anyone else other than al Qaeda are not only absurd; they are deeply offensive to those involved at all levels of the security operation at the time, or the investigations afterwards. One can believe if you like that the US Government is corrupt or deceitful, or tries to cover up its mistakes, or tries to maximise any advantage out of an unfortunate situation, but to suggest as conspiracy theorists suggest, that it 'masterminds' the destruction of buildings, aircraft, and thousands of human lives in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania , is just ridiculous. The idea that all official investigators after the event were corrupt or incompetent is equally silly and offensive. Not one single piece of genuine evidence has been turned up which proves any conspiracy theory, and there is not one single reason to believe that the basics of a terrorist attack on America by external forces is incorrect. From a practical point of view it would have been impossibly complex for the Government to organise attacks and to keep it 'secret', and it would be a ridiculous way of manufacturing an excuse for an attack on Afghanistan or Iraq. All arguments put forward by conspiracy theorists have either been been answered effectively, or alternative more rational explanations put forward, or else the arguments are so vacuous or vague that it is impossible to prove or disprove them.

Ordinarily I can laugh at the most fanciful of conspiracy theories (like the supposed moon landing conspiracy) but when human lives are involved, the suggestion of conspiracies which are tantamount to accusations of mass murder, are offensive and immoral in the absence of any genuine evidence.

NateB; 9/11 has been investigated and is largely understood, but the more extreme conspiracy theorists choose not to accept the genuine evidence re-terrorists, prefering to adhere to cynical unsubstantiated beliefs about government involvement.

Greensleeves, there are questions not even asked in the investigation and many things not answered; evidence was picked up, shipped away and re-cycled. It was an inadequate investigation, and questionable in many ways. So, 9/11 not understood.

  12. Rod Marsden profile image67

Yes, I do support a new investigation. It seems that the president of the day wasn't either listening very well to his advisers before 9/11 or there were too many advisers.

One has to also wonder about the media's role in the lead up to 9/11. Could more investigative reporters in the right places have made the USA more aware of the impending attack and have prompted the powers that be to have acted in ways that were not acted upon to prevent 9/11?

USA embassies had been attacked before 9/11 but these attacks had happened in other countries though technically on American soil. They, however, were part of the lead up. Nowadays we have fewer investigative reporters and that is scary.

I do wonder about the money that was given to the charities set up to look after the victims of 9/11 and their families. Here I include the brave firemen, police officers, medical personnel and others killed trying to save the people in the towers. Was this money ever properly distributed? I have the 9/11 comic books D.C., Marvel and one of the Independents put together to raise money to help those affected by 9/11. I would like to think that those who needed financial help because of 9/11 were given help.

You reap what you sow. USA always encouraged, armed, gave money and training to terrorist groups including Osama Bin laden ( don't believe me then Google it) , so long they fought Soviets or fought American wars, but they forgot that terrorists are no one's friends..  So it had to happen on some big magnitude when they turned their back on USA and gave back what they learned from CIA and US govt. So I don't think any new Investigation would worth anything unless it covers the role of CIA and American Govt in supporting and training terrorist groups Including Taliban countless others.

As an American, of course I do, but realize that it will probably never be known fully and the extent in just who may have been involved. It is one of the greatest tragedies, and inexcusable in its meaning, that would take three thousand lives, and there is no punishment appropriate to give a true rendering of justice. It is though a piece of the hearts of all Americans was ripped from its wholeness, and left with a missing part and an unexplained hole. We shall never forget.
