The Kennedy men never knew what it was to struggle financially but they were considered to be excellent men, excellent politicians with a real compassion for the common man.
Duffs: Very valid point. But they could empathize with the middle class. Willard lacks that basic characteristic.
Very well said and on the "money" bworthington. So much so that I've nothing to add.
And duffsmom, you're absolutely right about the Kennedy's, but they did earn their support from the people and they've shown passion. Romney hasn't shown anything.
Well truth be known, I am not a Romney fan either. I just hate to assume that Romney is a bad candidate because he is wealthy. Wealth alone should not discount someone's worthiness as candidate. I have to admit, I have not seen much passion.
The Kennedy men cared about *ALL *people, regardless of race, or finances. Bobby helped the Civil Right movement. I do not see Romney helping anyone BUT ROMNEY! :(
Yeah, JFK was a faithful husband - just the sort anyone would trust, as long as they weren't married to him (not to mention getting us into Vietnam). And then there was brave Teddy, he only murdered a poor woman, gee he's as bad as Romney!
Well said W. What is really sad is that anyone would even ask a question like does Romney have any core values, as if that was some kind of unknown (like it was with Baracchio whose main core value is now blatantly evident , to lie unashamedly).
You saved me a lot of typing Whidbeywrite - that is exactly the message I wanted to share. Kudo's and my fingers thank you!
You are welcome....glad to know there are some who are conservative and want a good person in office, not just someone who hangs out with David Letterman and can carry a tune!
you must be living in fantasy land to believe that Romney will do right for the American people! All 100 % of us! Haven't you watched and listened to his own words? unbelievable to think Romney will not bring in WW3 or worse.
