Since Obama took office the number of threats against his life have increased dramatically compared to his predecessors. Is this because of his race or a measure of the depths American politics have sunken to?
sort by best latest
You make a good point. This link to a NY Times story http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/06/us/06threat.html... was the closest I could find to being objective. I still believe some threats are base on race and started before his term
Kind of hilarious if you consider the fact that Bush doesn't sound anything like he did on camera :P I heard him speak in Texas as a governor...without an accent.
Do you play the race card often?
Really? Because he's Black? Google "bush death threats" images and tell me your take on that then. Or perhaps this:
why? it's a simple fact. he's black and racism is pretty strong in the U.S. he was getting these threats from the start, not a year after election so his governing isn't to blame. do you deny racism often?
Please spare us nonsense replies son. You lefties love to play that race card. The fact is that the actual question is bogus. It's as simple as that. LMAO
@nightwork4 Perhaps you didn't see this link: http://www.examiner.com/article/unhinged-liberals-... Romney isn't President. There goes your "race" theory. The #s already debunked anyway.
Nightwork. You did this same crap on past questions. Racism in this country wouldn't still be a major issue if idiots like you would quit stirring the pot. Get a life. Find another way to get hp hits. Try talent if you have any.
Sorry here is the article I was reading when I formulated the question. I did not intend this to be a partisan question. http://pubrecord.org/multimedia/4273/during-sermon...
How could this question not be a partisan question?
@steveso Yes I came across this one when doing my own search. Again, the information is from August of 2009. Protest signs are counted as death threats, things ignored versus Bush.
Sassy - Legitimate research isn't finding sensational articles. Any question needs to be based upon facts when the subject is one such as this. This isn't an opinion question.
Hi FP, You know odd thing, I searched for Bush, 3,000 per year. Same search for Obama, nothing. No real numbers.Only these outdated articles about how many more he supposedly received. I did find one article denouncing these claims though.
I'm not sure if the official Secret Service site would produce anything. Maybe. I'll take a peek.
Grrr here is the link that was cut off btw.
