Why is the possession of a gun legal in some parts of the United States. Can you tell all of us who don't know what some states allow individuals to possess gun? I ask this question because I have little knowledge or understanding about this aspect of American life.

Land Mark Wealth thank you for your comment here and for taking the time to give me some detail. Gun and Government seem to be very deeply inter-related.
No...Guns and freedom are interdependent. Americans have become very naive.
Landmarkwealth. Are you absolutely sure that the Gun Laws of the United States are there to protect people from government. It is a bit like saying that if your freedom is encroached on by government you are free to shoot at the government. ?

If United States gun laws are meant to protect people from Political power I can only see that as ideology. In reality those guns aren't challenging political power they are being used instead to kill young lives.
They challenge political power when the political power attempts to impose tyranny. Without that right the population becomes defensless. And the trheat of tyranny can become a reality as it has all over the world.
Yes, you are correct the constitution of the US is about ideals and rights that this nation gave its citizens, the guns don't kill people, people kill people!
So the idea is that they be used for something besides killing each other!
Technically not all - some people who have been convicted of certain felonies lose their gun owning privileges.
I've lived in countries all over the world. It most countries it is completely illegal to possess a gun. In the United States law and trends are completely the reverse.
I have travelled through America several times. But have for most of my life lived in Europe and Asia. In most countries it is illegal to carry a gun. The United States Gun Law and Culture make my mind boggle. Everyone can possess a gun ....! ??
You might want to learn how to spell or how to use spell check. The armed civilians you refer to was the colonial militia known as the Continental Army. The US didn't exist until after the Revolutionary War, need to brush up on your history!
Perhaps 200 years ago and more when George Washington founded the United States life was different then the right to bear Arms was appropriate. Is that right not misused too often. That right through history has taken many lives.
