If United States gun laws are meant to protect people from Political power I can only see that as ideology. In reality those guns aren't challenging political power they are being used instead to kill young lives.
They challenge political power when the political power attempts to impose tyranny. Without that right the population becomes defensless. And the trheat of tyranny can become a reality as it has all over the world.

Perhaps 200 years ago and more when George Washington founded the United States life was different then the right to bear Arms was appropriate. Is that right not misused too often. That right through history has taken many lives.
