Getting my ass back to the Pacific Northwest!

I have all I need to be truly happy; a beautiful, loving wife, devoted dog, grands and greats sprinkled across the country and the internet to work my craft and commune with others. But like the man said, it's all about location, location, location!! Summers here in Texas are too damn hot, so AnniePie, Beano, The Daughter and I will be packing up and heading out for Washington state's Wenatchee Valley sometime in the front end of 2013.

I have passed through that area a few times. Why settle there?

Great idea! Less heat, more rain and snow! I love it! Additionally great landscapes and lots of nature around you. Wish you success with your move!

The Wenatchee Valley is a semi-arid desert. It rarely rains there. The mountains surrounding this area are dry and bare.

Sledgehammer, you're right. Less precipitation than in Olympia (I was thinking it would be similar). However, as the Apple Capital of the World, it won't be that bad :-)

Truth be known...Wenatchee has stripped itself of most of its orchards in favor of housing developments. The orchards that once dominated its landscape, can only be found in small rural areas outside of the valley.

Well, CJ, one starts somewhere, and anywhere in Wash. state is preferable to the underbelly of the southern Rolling Plains.

One day would do. 364 of them would be better.

Living one day at a time is all that we should be shooting for and it is all that we have. Be that as it may, I pray that you see many more tomorrows. :0)

OK, one day at a time is OK with me! Don't need anything else... I think. Wish you great 2013.

For my pregnancy to go well and as painless as possible. Also for the rest of my semesters to be paid for.

You are going to be just fine, Leah. Don't worry about your tomorrows...they will take care of themselves.

The love of God is all that is truly necessary.

Joy is a gift of His Holy Spirit...not something that can be found or conjured. Happiness differs from joy in that it is only a temporary emotional state of mind, whereas joy is far more consistent.

Having said that - paying off my student loans would be nice.
Seeing the return of my health and strength would be cause for celebration.
Seeing my children grow in mercy, grace, health, wisdom, love, and faith.
The assurance that my mother's health returns and that her heart is filled with joy.

These are just a few things that would add a spring to my step. :0)
