The guy who's in power now will make it into the 'one of the best list,' though many don't think so at the moment. He could hardly have been elected at a more difficult time, what with the world economic slump coming at the time he stepped up.
Theodore Rooseveldt springs to mind as one of the best. A far sighted chap who had the good sense to establsh the first National Parks. And, of course, the most famous, Abraham Lincoln. I thought JFK good, too. He didn't get rattled into declaring war on the Russians, thank God.
Let's face it, there have been some good US presidents and some....well, not so good. And, of course, as a non-American, I don't have a favourite, only some that I favour.
