Is there a party that can replace the Republican Party?

If you are conservative, would you consider joining a conservative third party?

I would say....not with any immediate results. In other words, the conservative viewpoint would be lost on America for possibly decades as a new party build its strength.  The bottom line in looking at replacing a party (and it applies to both sides of the aisle) is that the initial support for the new party is nothing more than a splinter group off of the main viewpoint.  In the past, the conservative side has seen elections lost as various splinters took votes away in the general election...the defeat of George H.W. Bush was heavily akin to conservative Perot staying in the race for the presidency and splintering the vote.  A certain amount of that occurred this time around with Paul's efforts.  The Tea Party has the best opportunity at present to realign the conservative viewpoint and get it away from the muddled, traditional, Republican control.  There seems to be more of a focus now on the part of the Republics to dig in and hold their positons than to explain the conservative viewpoint...which is not that difficult to either understand or embrace for most people.  Like it or not, those in the Democrat Party are in a "new party"....as their values and direction have long since been displaced by those of radicals, socialist, marxist, and admitted communists.  Those who hang on to liberal democrat values and vote that ticket are sorely naive as to the intent of those in control of a party which has been traditional in their family for decades...it is no longer the same place...far, far from it. ~WB

Radical socialists? Are you sure something has changed about the american people's Democratic Party? What was social security, if not a socialist measure of reform. Why can't we use all of those schisms to make another party?
